OMFG!!!!!! That has to be the best thing i have EVER seen!!! Btw graphics in the trailer are actual ingame graphics as said on the beggining of the trailer. Everything sounds and looks too good to be true.

And its only one year away! Please god let this be THE game.....

Looks interesting but it's just a trailer. Of course it is using the in game engine but it's still a trailer that has been setup from the ground up to look nice. I want to see real in game footage of game play and the world under normal conditions encountered by the player along with system specs needed to run the game so that it looks good.

Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

    Game(s) I Am Currently Playing:

    GW2 (+LoL and BF3)

Between this, Earthrise, a secret NCSoft and secret BioWare MMORPG's as well as other's I'm sure to be missing, 2009 looks to be a competitive and interesting year for MMORPG launches!

Many would say that the MMORPG is quickly becoming oversaturated... I disagree... It's quickly forcing developers into revolutionizing their product if they want a share of the market as the junk clonage and weak MMO's inveitably fail to lure many subs.  I'll keep an eye on this one for now, though the first person view isn't something I enjoy in melee combat based games.  Thanks for sharing :]

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

Nice movie. But website doesn't give me enough meat to say this game will be ready by next year to meet all those promises.

Now the first person concept brings up images of a Elder Scrolls Online type game at first. However, and this is just my gut feeling, I think this will end of being a unreal tournament ina fantasy setting.

I am just leary of a game that promises so much  and shows me a trailer

State of the art graphics dont belong in MMO's, blizzard knows this and none of the really sucessful mmo's are graphically advanced. Imagine raiding/pvping with 40+ people or even 10 people, its not gonna run anywhere near decent on a highend computer. AoC will fail cus of this as well.

I have been reading around in the site and their forums and I don't see questing mentioned anywhere.  The say for PvE you can explore and skill stuff.

Hmmm, this could be very good indeed.

SWEET!  Another fantasy MMO!  There's just not enough fantasy to shoose from these days ;)

Alright, all kidding aside (sort of), if it delivers - it could be cool.  If not - another fantasy MMO indeed.

It looks good, much like classic UO. A good handfull of skill based, sandbox mmo's out next year, cant wait. Its a shame that some people think Darkfall online is the only hope for a real sandbox. Darkfall needs to speed the (F) up or people might not even play due to the great releases next year. Hell, Mortal online and Earthrise might just release before Darkfall does.

There are ways for everything my friend. Look at how far everything has come up till now look back at eq1 graphics...We all thought that game looked amazing. In time it will be possible they are making really good steps with these "next generation" mmo's.

they had to add in the dragon at the end... they just had to!! enough with the dragon's already...  gimme sasquatch or something.  I can't relate to dragon's.  you never hear anyone say "man I hope they do something about those dragon's outside of the grocery store!"

damn you game companies and your armoured men with axes fighting dragon's.

State of the art graphics now will be far less demanding a few years down the road, when the game hits retail.  If the game being developed only looks mediocre now, it will be very dated eventually.

Even for very hardware demanding games now (say LOTRo upon release), its possible to go raiding or PVP with graphics toned down, which we did.  After raiding we switch graphics back to normal and enjoy the lovely scene.  Win win.

VG is another story during launch.  It just does not work well even with a very hi quality rig.  Same for EQ2 during launch.  That is an issue of design, not state of whatever graphics.

WoW is another story.  It was built to work well with dated PC, and it took the cartoonish route, so that it will still look OK even with very few graphics feats.  Its a story of good use of a design theme.

I love "ingame graphics" then never go first person, and yet one of the features of the game is their first person camera.

If you showed me the video of AoC back when it was accounced I would have had the same feeling... Same with WaR...

I got the same feeling watching Vanguard. Epic battles, Huge World, Ooodles of classes.

Sure it looks pretty but so did Vanguard. Im sure not going to get hyped over a game by a new studio that just popped outa nowhere.

Well that snuck up on us.

I hope they do a better job with PvP then all of these generic grinders we already have.

The first MMO that captures the heart pounding action of a shooter and the depth of an RPG will "win"

I'm optimistic, I think many have learned their lesson.
