Yep. If you want to pay money for a quarterly subscription to an "Open Beta" then thumbs up for you.
Till then, this isn't considered an Open Beta, because I can't try the game for free. Hell pay money to play a game where they won't let you over the level cap of 13? Sounds retarded.
Yeah probably not worth it for non subscribers, personally been a sub for about a year simply to get faster downloads and beta access to many games.
Or you could not be a whiner, and already have a FP subscription for all of the other services they provide and this comes at a bonus.

I've always wondered how much fileplanet pays to get betas for only their site.
I somehow got a key by loging in using my IGN / Vnboards login....
I also made a new FP account and was not able to get in using that.

Glad I was browsing the AoC forum when the keys popped. So much for signing up for the email notification, neither email address I entered with has seen any notification...

As a side note...errr... question.
I am running Vista. Since owning vista, I notice that when it tries to execute LARGE exe files, it sits there FOREVER loading it into memory before evening showing me a first install or load screen. Is there a way to turn off the option to load the entire thing first before running? With XP, it would just run instantly.
Im worried about this with a 12GB file
Or, putting my mind at ease, is the 12GB file a zip file?

I did not get any instant email notification they talked about. Just did a daily check on fileplant to see what was new on frontpage and saw it open. Glad I checked at that time...
Lame for people who might have been at work, especially pacific time.

Any Idea if this will be the same client for the pre-order pre-release? Maybe just patch an update to it? Think someone said it's best to do a clean instal anyway to get rid of uneccesary files?

BTW is the download a public url? I ended up getting a key somewhere else, but have a FP sub, would be nice to download from FP rather then somewhere else.

You saying they ran out already? Did they break it up? any idea how many they released today?
*EDIT* checked file planet and seems they will be releasing them over the next 8 days, so thats about 6,250 keys per day if it's done evenly, THANKS FOR POSTING HERE almost missed it.
they are doing batch releases through out the week.

How do you get a key just goto the link and if one is available it will just pop up on screen? , im a payer for fileplanet but i dont understand how it knows your a member you dont log in?
