I'm waiting for better things too been waiting years many years meanwhile I play this one cause well TV sucks (exept battlestar galactica that is good..) Other then playing tiddly winks when I want a sit down activity I am not sure what else to do when I want to play a game with other people and against other people.
(adds in . the ones inside my head dont count as other people lol sorry I had to I'm enjoying being colourful and it sure got some interesting reactions. Like lets wack down the threat to our game we love to hate but dont play but somehow do play cause of course the game we hate we play .. or something like that)

The proof is in the pudding so to speak...simply login and look for yourself. The numbers above are calculated using SOE's own statements. If you have a problem with them please check with them on it.

When i joined SWG for first time, it was like 2 years ago. I liked the game, it was fresh air after WoW - my first MMO experience. A friend of mine who played the game from the very beginning, told me great "stories" about the world, events and etc. I was hooked, i knew all this is gone, but even then i liked the game. I only quit, because there was not enough players online - i had two chars, on Chimaera and Farstar servers.
Sam the proof is in the fact that 20/24 servers has maybe 30 people subscribed and SOE refuses to allow free transfers to them...
You are the PERFECT example of target audience. You'll apparently pay for anything. We just want to make sure others don't pay if they don't have to. We will continue to advise them to use the Free Trials.

i'm not paying for connan or warhammer online.. I'm saving my money for the stargate worlds which may prove crappy as all getout and then send me once again running back to SWG. See now this is what you dont get the reason why a lot of people still play swg is because they tried other games and they sucked mucho big time and so they went back to a game which they found to be much much better.
I anticipate though that some people here will never play another video game because in all honesty most are WORSE then SWG and if you thing SWG is bad theer is no way that you will like the present bunch of new releases or the next bunch either..
So my gut feeling is the reason why you guys hang around on these boards is because you actually dont have anything else to do other then post how bad a game is for 3 friggen years..

That's what fascinates me about this crew of people their total inability to just walk away from a game and pick up another one and play it and close the door on what was simply a piece of entertainment to begin with. I wonder how people lamenting over what basically amounts to nothing in the scheme of things deal with real issues like say ilness, death an accident or going to the dentist to have a cavity repaired...

You left 3 years ago and the game was totally different then according to what you say therefore logic would dictate that you can't possibly give an accurate review of a game you claim to have never truly played.. assuming that of course your accurate in saying the game has completely changed. I personally dont think it has changed that much. Layers of other things have been added on top and they have redone the profs but the core game its identical. Jump to lighspeed has not changed one iota and that is probably one of the more popular parts.
and in saying that are you correct as I play the game now and have been for two months and I like it. Therefor for a great many you are in fact incorect and your opinions are just that opinion and not fact.

That is.............Juuuuustt before SOE have the new FIGI update (Fantasticly Iconic Game Implementation) and remove all your items to a base level and your character as you once knew has gone and is unrecognisable... Then come and say the same words. Please think about it.
If you realise why people are angry, not because they are being childish but because of what actually happened to us you may at least moderate your tone of posting. Yes these posts have been said before but SOE is trying for the long game and hunkering down and proceeding with its current path with the NGE. All the "Vets" are doing is informing the public of what happened AND that SOE didnt care and as in not care there werre no ACTIONS just flannel and "to get over it"... shame on them.
As you said earlier I can say what I like however it does not make it right ... but if enough people remember and say the same comments then maybe .. just maybe it will never happen again to you and any one else in the "gameplay may change" industry and for that I /salute the Vets for there efforts.

I'm a vet and was playing in july 2003 and as a vet I am telling anyone mooning over something silly like this to GET OVER IT

anyhow you know this is a great sport when you have the flu I should try this more often it passes the time better then those soap operas PLUS it acts like them too. When I get the flu again in a year I can come back and say the IDENTICAL same thing over again because nothing will have changed just like those tv shows the world turns or whatever another world? gah ..

ummax, you are the most entertaining poster on these forums. It's hard to read your version of English, and you seem to lack the basic ability to use logic, but on a serious note you are truly the most entertaining poster. And I mean that as a compliment. : )

All I gotta say is, wait till all thier little buffs get out of hand, overpowered profs and nerfs keep flying around, bugs get more and more out of hand as they add more content over current bugs and then they decide the system isn't working and decide to change it again.
They did it twice already, they will do it again.
Hell combat stats and functions change on a monthly basis as it is. I got tired of re-making all my gear and relearning half my prof everytime I turned around.
except for the whole retaining and gaining paying customer thing.

He's recommending a game he enjoyed while he played it. Then he "ran out of content" so he left. What's the difference between that and reaching level 70 in WoW? Nothing. Value in the time played is relative to everyone but your snarky kind of comment is simply trolling.
See the thing is he would have Never ran out of content if he played back befor the CU! And he would have only have to pay 15 bucks a month! Ive came back one time played for a few days Was very disapointed with what they had turned one of the best MMO's into! SoE Messed it up plane and simple, Maybe to somone that has never played it its good, but to the person that grinded out 25 careers and enjoyed doing it in order to unlock a jedi, its crap to see you can roll a jedi from day one. Yes I know there weeker but its still shame full.

See, you lost me right there. Pre-NGE is irrelevant. The NGE is the current state of the game and the content available to play apparently was fun enough to recommend. This thread started as "Hey, if you're going to play, come to our server because it has a nice community". Someone added his two cents to "use a trial first so you don't get ripped off" (which is sound consumer advice) and another person said that "while he played it was fun but he effectively finished it when he felt he ran out of content". No where does Pre-NGE become relevant.
