All good points, but let us not let him troll us into veering away from discussing the old game too much, and thus violating this area's rules.
Let us behave better than Ummax has, and keep discussion of the current game here, with all its weaknesses and flaws, and all the recent developments that show the DEVs have learned little or nothing from the mistakes of the past, including but not limited to the GCW revamp, the C6CD, the forced combat on Entertainers and traders, the medic nerf for the sake of instances, the nerf to Beast Mutation and creation, the NJE, including the final abandonment of their word in terms of the new Jedi Cloak vis a vis the Elder Robe.
If he wants to psychoanalyze, let him; if he wants to debate irrelevancies, let him -- but when he strays to far into talking about the old, better game we all loved, we should steer him to the correct forum.

I'm part of the community to and they didnt need to replace me. I"m not even sure what that means. It still doesn't explain why you insist on beating the now turned to dust dead horse further. the message is out. Anyone who has cared has read it and absorbed it. The rest is kinda like a waste of ink. It wont make the message any clearer in fact the original messages were much more clear then what goes on now. All that goes on now is like this eternal battle over disjointed details that doesn't always make a lot of sense. It achieves nothing. As others have said if you had put the energy you put into this issue into something of actual relevance you probably would be running the country by now. Instead however a lot of young people these days tend to not want to use the energy for anything useful. If they did the world might possibly be a very different place. That's kind of "philosophical" however it kinda fits and its stolen from another poster who said the same thing in the POTBS forum and I hate to say it He IS right.

What effort does it take to post n a message board? Very little. I warn folks that SWG is the absolute worst MMO available when I'm not doing something else. It isn't a dead horse, because the folks at LEC and SOE are still selling a substandard product and charging a monthly fee. What they are currently offering is not worth playing for free, let alone for fifteen bucks a month.I don't find warning innocent folks about wasting their time and money on a very poor product a waste of time. I'm sure the folks warning folks away from the crap pile that is PotBS don't either.
Your 'philosophical' statement makes little sense, considering MMORPGs, regular video games, and posting on forums in general, are a hobby. It would be like telling a bunch of stamp collectors to do something productive and make the world a better place.
Quite honestly, if SOE were to fold tomorrow, or all of their senior management were to be fired tomorrow, the world, as far as MMORPGs are concerned, would be a better place. Letting folks know that SWG is not worth their time or money is just a small part of helping that happen.
