Please link the proof that DF has a closed beta running at the moment, a closed beta that has testers besides the 20 Devs and their mates. As far as I know they announced a closed beta a few years ago and people are still waiting!

If this game exists they would have posted alot more screenshots/videos, especially when people are claiming their game is a vaporware, the fact they stay pretty indifferent to it gives me an answer.

FACT : Darkfall main dev, Thasos, said that their world will be twice the size of the biggest mmo currently in the market. It was in one of their developper journal. FACT : Dark and Light has the largest world RUMOUR : Darkfall world will be twice the size of Dark and Light Now, stop bashing Darkfall, because Age of Conan world is so small or something.
I have yet to see any proof that this is anything more than a rumour. Just like pretty much everything else the Darkfall Devs have promised.

And that genuine members of that community actually where unable to appreciate he was not serious or the preposterousness of what he was saying but rallied to defend the OP and his ridicules assertions.

Well yes he did but he constructed it wonderfully by taking the quotes out of context or exaggerating them way beyond what the devs actually meant at the time. Some of the stuff in between is just made up to make it all that much more like a fanboy taken to the absolute extreme. The stuff about "better graphics than AoC" and "Better raids than WoW" is total BS as neither was claimed by devs or even the most extreme Darkfall fanboy at any time. In a sense it is slowly going away. They haven't really given us anything new besides a journal entry on the Warcry network last month. The news on the site doesn't even mention that Journal post either and that hasn't even been updated since February. I think the devs are starting to see it for themselves.
edit: i see they do have a new update that was posted on the forums for may 9th. kinda makes me wonder why they dont post this news on the site itself and is keeping it mainly for the forums. Probably because its less work.

The majority of software products are internally tested, so it does follow that they use a Q/A testing team on their products, plus AI can be tested against a number of possible conditions that map out all possible states that the given AI can exhibit, thus thousands of players doing the same thing is not cost effective when you can do the same with maybe ten systems, plus the world server and a load of scripts (hint: you don't need the graphical client to check this either, so you can run through scripts 24/7 over thousands of passes to see if any oddity pops up and is logged). AI in this case, probably won't be beyond Crysis-quality, but it will probably be close in some respects. That's if the devs are on the level. I can't say they are so I can only state what I've said is based on other developers and how they work: a house of 'cards' (assumptions) that only need one pulled out for the rest to fall.

So they've drawn an official line in the sand, lets see if they can meet it.
