I don't think anyone seriously believes the game will be released in 2008. The best we can hope for is that they will have an open beta prior to Jan.1, 2009. If they produce a beta by the end of December - rejoice! If not... some fanbois will lose interest in the game, others will turn troll, some will keep the faith, and new fanbois will come along, full of interest in the game.
Originally posted by Theodgrim Sure, they are not that upset. The company "lost" $500K, but that is more than likely just a tax write-off. I wont pretend to be an expert on international tax law, but I strongly suspect they were able to write this off as an investment loss. Not a bad deal actually. You can pay the government cash to cover your tax debt, or you can invest money. If your investment takes off, great you have more money. If it doesnt take off, great, you can write off the loss and not have to fork over cash to the gov. Either way you get something for your money.
True that. In this case, it seems to be a win-win situation. From Surly's article - "Shame it's not on Aventurine/Darkfall's site for easy access, but better trashed and scattered than left up for guess work."
It'd be cool for me... just dont want them to release something unfinished it'd be worst than a vaporware
Yeh, well if they don't want to release something "worse then vaporware", then they probably SHOULD keep delaying and delaying and delaying. Hey, maybe we are on to something here. I think that you just figured out the big secret as to why this game will NEVER come out! Ding, Ding, Ding! Give this guy a "vapor cookie" as a prize!

Aye, give him a prize. But shall we take the mental illness with trolls once more?
It's one big circle jerk. Spiridon Iordanis and Anastasios (Tasos) Flampouras are both listed an owners in Aventurine.
You're looking at a legal fiction. They have to maintain it until all the bankruptcy claims are settled. Razorwax is shut down. They haven't filed a financial statement since 2006.
Don't point out the obvious it is ammusing reading the rubbish the trolls try to spin...

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
really? Then why are the core producers of Darkfall over at Aventurine still operating Razorwax to this day as board members / co owners?
