Just wait a few more days...some 'official' press-releases/interviews are scheduled for August, beginning with the Gameworld online interview

Oh boy. Another interview. I can hardly wait to hear all about how great this game is some more and how it will revolutionize PC gaming, etc etc.

This is ridiculous. You people are eating this stuff up like a wolf laying a trail of candy to children.

I can't wait until Adventurine asks for credit card information and money online before the people even play the game for one minute. Then we'll see how many fans here go from their story now of how they'd never pay ahead and how Adventurine would "never" do that to all the posts later of getting ripped off.

Dig out the old Dark and Light and Mourning threads. It's all coming to a Darkfall thread near you!

Nothing against you pal. I'm just saying that another Q and A interview, even if from a credible source, won't add much credibility to this game. I'm talking about an actual play test of some sort or somethin to prove this game is real and working from an actual credible source.

i do find it a bit strange they let your average joe into the studio and get a look around but yet there's no real popular gaming media going there and publishing anything, even though there's no nda or anything. Although he did say there may be some article's, they aren't out yet, if they exist

I'm looking forward to seeing this video and hopefully its not like the other videos :/

At first i was a lover, then the last few months a doubter, now im kind of on the fence.

I dont care about screenshots, I dont care about interviews, I dont care about videos, what I care about is playing the A#$*&@#$ game. Until they stop bs'ing like they have for almost a decade and put that game into my grubby little paw, I dont give a rats #$@#$ about their PR attempts.

Well, here's another fan review. No more "WHERE ARE THE VISITORS??? TASOS LYING, FANBOIS!!" whining i hope. But ofcourse trolls will just switch to "Where's the video"/"They have just an MoU with their distributor"/"The game is gonna fail anyway" etc.

That's what we got. The fan visits that are off NDA, i don't recall them telling us about else. And according to the visitor's post "they had real press and financial visitors there they had to attend to". So maybe there will be interviews from credible sources soon(tm). But that's just meaningless speculations.

My guess. they will make a huge announcement in a month or two after making the Americans feel left out that the Americans will be able to play at launch with only a $XX.95 download fee!  Yay!
Watch and learn. There is damn good reason there is so much mystery behind everything including this new "write-up".  Oh boy, but we did get a picture of an "Adventurine" sign, no wait 2 pictures of that sign that sure as hell makes this place look like it is inside some crappy apartment building.  Hmm, no wonder this place was so hard to find and taxi drivers that live there didn't even know where the hell it was huh?
Watch and learn people. They WILL find a way to ask you for money before you play. Just wait.

No, we got a picture of an "Aventurine" sign.  Two of them, in fact.

Anyone notice how all of these detailed offerings from this guy or that guy about visiting the Adventurine office are all so descriptive about their lives and how they got to the offices and how they didn't believe in Tasos when they first called him etc etc ??

Just a question - Is someone trying overly hard to make these um 'visit to mighty Adventurine' write-ups seem real and authentic?

Just wondering, because the Lords of Death and this one seemed like they were written from the same exact guy and in reading both of them, I was thinking "WoW, this guy is freaking FULL OF SHIT!"

But okay. Another nobody writes up some BS about visiting their offices and offers no concrete evidence except a couple of photos of the Adventurine sign outside the door. Oh boy, that makes me want to sign up for two years right now for this stupid game at $25 US per month. Hmm, will you take my credit card for $600 right now for 2 years Adventurine?? I'm so excited about all this that I just need to go take a big dump right now!

There we go! That's what I was talking about, Troll Brigade at work. I knew I wouldn't have to wait too long before some local Troll comes up with some new innovative naysaying! Good job! Now we just need few others work on this Troll Theory and make it the next "OMFG, DF = FAKE!" thing of the week.

You should have just said that it was all Tasos' alt making up shit and the people in the picture were hired actors. Also, you should have said straight out that Asp, one of the leaders of a respectable and well known PvP Clan is also Tasos' alt.

Don't be silly and naive. What does that picture of 4 men prove to you? You act like it's solid proof that this guy went and visited Adventurine and that everything he said is 100% truth. How do you know this guy that wrote this crap up isn't Tasos's brother in law?

If that's all the proof that you need to buy into this whole Darkfall deal that has been so mysterious for 8 years now, then you trust strangers just a tad too easily I'd say.

What makes you think you cant trust a guy whose account was made today?

  • radlinradlin Member Posts: 266

LOL. What's ironic is that almost everything that makes all the Darkfall fans applaud with victory and become even bigger fans makes me doubt the game more and more and more as even more mystery and suspicion enters my head.  (Look at the Darkfall forum response to this new visit of Advent. office write up. They all look to be in total awe while I was thinking "omg, wtf")

You can just ignore Nefatus post, that's HolyCircle (if you remember him) new account.  As for the topic of the write up.  Don't know if it's real or fake, I tossed a coin up on it.  It strangely enough landed straight up.  I do agree with the guy that said he believes the guy writing it seemed like he was trying too hard.  There could be many reasons to explain that though.  I mean have you ever tried to type something you know alot of people would read, when you are overly excited, pressed for time, or even nervous?  It doesn't always turn out well or sound well.  Oddly enough I imagine that a professional writer trying to make a dumb downed write up would look something like that to.  It is just something we really can't comment on, as none of us know this person.

For the most part though I'm more interested to see these future "creditable" write ups that keep getting mentioned.  That should be out this week? Next week?  As well as the video though, as long as it's not some scripted crap.

this is exactly what I was thinking. It just all sounds so fucken phony like.  This guy is probably some random friend they brought in.

Why are there no pictures of this person actually playing the game in front of the monitor???  Is that so difficult to do??

Instead you have two pictures of a fucking beat up wall with a sign on it. LOL

The write up doesn't even sound like someone who actually sat down and played a game.

It reads just like some kind of regurgitated vague shit that gets written up all the time about this game.

yay, another shitty write-up that raises more questions than answers.

Next time some nobody asks for a visit, please tell them "fuck off, we are using that time to make a video".

For some reason I just can't picture anything good coming out of a place that looks like this

    Nice write up.

Anyway, to the nay-sayers: Kyrandos (who is definitely not a total no name in the PvP scene) seems to know Yellowbeard.

    http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?p=1286523#post1286523

Also, Yellowbeard's member number happens to be 5903 on the Darkfall forums. That means he has joined the forums probably in 2003 or so. Would be a pretty long term alt accout indeed.

  • GMnyGMny Member Posts: 163

So your saying Tasos's cousin or friend couldn't have joined the forums in 2003?

and who the fuck is Kyrandos?

I know yellowbeard too.  He has a fucking yellow beard.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THEY CONSTANTLY HAVE UNKNOWN RANDOM PEOPLE VISITING THEM RATHER THEN ACTUAL EDITORS FROM LIKE GAMESPOT OR IGN PARTICIPATING IN TESTING AT THIS POINT AND REPORTING ON IT?

Want to know why? I'll tell you why. Because than they could not control REAL information from getting out.

It's so ridiculously obvious that these people are full of complete shit.

Nice article. Some upset semi-trolls in this thread, as usual. But I understand them. It is easier to find facts to fit your view of the world than to change the view after all. Luckily with DF you will be able to try before buy, no faith needed :)

lol ... all the fanboys come out .. crawling from under the rock!

I can't believe people believe this..

If Darkfall really existed and in such a good / finished shape, why don't they show it to PCGAMER, Massively, WARCRY or some larger more reputable gaming company?

They are keeping such a tight lid and make so many promises but we haven't seen one real combat sequence, one video with the UI.

    People believe this stuff?? REALLY??
