actully this lin says signed an agreemeant not a mou what ever that is... plus noone has read it.

signing an agreemeant means they plan too no if or buts about it.

plus the bond loan is only week old. there no reason to be pulling that money if they didnt need it to distribute darkfall...

    we will find out here.

(not saying thers ana ctull contract yet but you cant argue with an agreemeant unless your read said agreemeant.

Ikona Ihos S.A. Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement With Aventurine S.A.  Friday, 27 Jun 2008 06:32am EDT

Ikona Ihos S.A. announced that it has signed an agreement with Aventurine S.A. for the exclusive distribution of on line gaming products within the territory of Europe.

Ikona Ihos == Greek for Audio-Visual.

So it's official. They've even taken out a 5mill loan to setup the games distribution business.

This indicates beyond shadow of a doubt that Darkfall exists and is coming out. The only question now is when.

  • XxeonXxeon Member Posts: 559

yea it seems like it 5 millis alot of fing money and the year before they took out 2 mill SO they shouldnt need another 5 mill just for them selfs

    Nice find btw.

I can't wait to hear what the vapor trolls do with this one. In mind of the recently happenings at the forums and this, no one can seriously doubt this game coming out. They can doubt the quality, but not the game and its release. But, they are desperate, I mean, they were even trying to pass off the argument that the writeup was Tasos on an alt , swearing a lot to cover his tracks.

And why would Tasos post on the complication of releasing in Europe and America? If he wanted everyone interested in the game, shouldn't he claim that both continents would have simultaneous launches, with everything fine and dandy? Oh wait, maybe he's actually been honest the whole time.

  • Trogg13Trogg13 Member Posts: 61

    I know, hilarious.

Interestingly, the announcement is 27 days old too. Tasos and co. really do love people to find out stuff by themselves. It's kind of reassuring in a way, makes me feel better about why they made the decision not to disclose all the info about spells/skills/crafting.

    Uhm.

Ikhanos is using S.A. Adventurine as loan collateral.

This doesn't sound like 'great' to me.

Did you read the announcement? The lenders are Marfin Egnatia Bank and Investment Bank of Greece. There is no mention of collateral, nor do 25 year-old successful businesses require collateral.

    You're kidding me right.

And the bond loan is not for S.A. adventurine. Reuters doesn't always write one page profiles.

FYI any company no matter how big or small has to put up collateral to get a loan period, end of story.

Even If Bill Gates wanted a loan he would have to put up collateral, that is just how banks work.

it's a common bond, which isn't really the same thing as a loan, for starters. what i meant is 25yo publically traded company would have no issues borrowing such a relatively small amount of money. The loan is clearly for AVE to develop their new games publishing business unit.

Do you see the name "Darkfall" there anywhere? Perhaps Razorwax, oh I mean Aventurine,  have finally found a sucker to distribute those gambling games that they went bankrupt over the first time around.

Nope, it shows they can put out online games, not Darkfall specifically.

So, no, this does not put the "final nail" in any coffin just yet.

Come on you are smart enough to put 2 and 2 together.

The only online game that Aventurine is making is Darkfall and Ikona Ihos is going to be distributing an online game for Aventurine... Geez its plain and simple.

It does not have to say Darkfall for it to mean darkfall.  Common Sense is great.

And for the Last time Aventurine is not Razorwax, yes they have some of the same people involved but they are not the same company so stop saying they are.

    These are good news.

Just a few things... I think Ikona is NOT AVE.  I think they are two different companies.  If so, it's even better news.  If they are the same company, it's still good news.

Second, the 5 million loan... is NOT a loan.  Its a bond issue.  It will be a loan, if anyone buys the bonds.  And I don't see anything that relates that bond issue with Aventurine or DF... companies get loans to operate (or get money from investors... you can see that 6 months ago they did exactly that).  I am not saying its not related but I don't see anything that link it (too few info to reach a conclution).  The money can be for mostly anything.

Soon we will see what DF really is (if it releases).  Lets hope that it's all we want.

    Oh really?

    Dragon Empires

    WISH

    UOX

    UO2

    Gods & Heroes

    Mythica

    Star Trek online

and who knows what else I am missing that was cancelled in Beta...

Eve Online also had some unknown Publisher too and they did absolutely nothing for them and eventually they had to get rid of them.

Darkfall is still 100% Vaporware and will always be until the day comes when a credible industry editor logs into it , plays it and writes up a review.

Or till the day I log into it.

They were basically FORCED into taking a completely terrible publishing deal with a company who has absolutely NO IDEA about video games because no other REAL video game publisher wants to touch Darkfall.

You would think that a game that is supposedely as feature rich and complete as Darkfall is would have lots of big name publisher wanting publishing right to ALL of Europe. Instead they give all of Europe to some unkknown inexperienced DVD replication compant?  LOL  Get real.

Mark my words. Darkfall will be a complete failure. This little "news" you dug up at the ass end of the internet somewhere does not mean anything.

    None.

It doesn't say anything about Darkfall though.

Razorwax was making online gambling games before Darkfall or trying too.  And since Aventurine basically is Razorwax they could be distributing little online "gaming" (gambling) games.

You would think it would specifically mention "Darkfall" and "MMORPG" if it had to do with that.

You say that despite never playing the game!

    LOL

Here's a clue as to why Darkfall will be very successful - Check out the post and thread counts for the mmorpg's in development on the left hand side there. The ONLY mmorpg with more activity is Warhammer online.

Darkfall is the only game that Aventurine is creating.
