To the OP and everyone who agrees with him, maybe you should quit MMOs for a while and do something else for a while. To those that say the servers are empty, what do you expect after two weeks, 10 millions subs. I saw people complaining on these forums last week that they had to queue to get to play, it wouldn't surprise me if they're the same people that are not complaining there's nobody here. All of you will never be satisfied, accept it and move on. I have seen no lag, the bugs I have seen are not game breaking, I am not bored, the RvR is fun. Yes I will resub.
Actually they don't have to quit mmo's, this game simply isn't for them, sorry not everyone agrees this is an awesome game, nowadays people expect more and if they don't get it they aren't gonna wait and there is nothing wrong with that.
WIll i be staying on..maybe..but i find i don't even have the urge to log in, but i'm not sure we will see.
Again though, people don't have to be satisfied with just what is put in front of them, things were cut out so they could release and not look like they had unfinished things, risky move since people will dig up that kind of info and act upon it, they didn't promise the stuff would come out but cutting things out of a game always has a negative effect, i really don't care, i understand the scope of these games and sometimes things just gotta get put aside for abit.
People are still complaining about servers, the sides aren't balanced they did what they could but they can't force people to play Order, and peole are just gonna join the winning side anyways, not all but most.
Anyways don't get all burnt out if people don't stay on, this game doesn't need to be the top on subs to keep being fun for those that stick with it.

i am leveling slowly and enjoying every bit of the game i can...playing my shamen is just way to fun....i am sticking with WAR for a while.....but if teir 3 does not get fixed ill be plenty mad....
Easily going to subscribe to this one. The bugs I have seen have been fixed fairly quickly and the game is just BETTER than anything out there right now. For those having issues with graphics, lag, stuttering, you may want to get more RAM or a faster vid card. I have none of these issues with 3 gigs of ram, dual core processor and 2 7600 nvidia 256mb cards in SLI mode. Game looks great, especially the detail on character models and armor.
Go to warhammer-alliance tech forum and user to user help forum, you will see that there's alot of players with those stats and better are also getting the same problem. The problem is coming from Mythic side, and not players pc...
Sick of people telling people to buy better frigging computers at every release. First off that is crap. Second I happen to know of two people who have upgraded and it has not fixed thier issues.
I do not know what is causing their issues but telling people to spend a bunch of money for something that is not a guaranteed solution for a problem you have not acurrately diagnoses is retarded.
If you were a doctor you would get sued for malpractice.
Anyway yes most likely I will resub. I wish my server was higher population, but other than that it has been a very good experience.
The way new servers are setup to favor PvE levelers and premade guilds to create top heavy structure is kind of bad and I wish Mythic had thought about that a little more. Any server with a low order population and medium+ destro and even just one pre-established DAOC guild can take all keeps up to T4 and simply wait for attacks and defend them.
Yeah its a pussy move, but people will and are doing it. And even if the Order side is good enough to take keeps back and even defend them they simply do not have enough people in the higher Tiers a bit past the leveling curve around to even know when a keep is being attacked in offtimes or maybe even semi-offtimes. It is a trivial matter for a large guild to rush all keeps in roughly an hour or two if all they have is NPCs to attack.
There are issues. Some lag issues. Some strange behavior with mobs. Some clunkiness in combat. If I had bad computer lag issues I would not resub. That can get very frustrating. But so far I haven't had it bad. Sometimes its unplyable, but that is only rarely or mostly at zone transitions strangely when certain other message with large text pop up. Definitely something off there.
It is a fun game and worth sticking with. But Mythic does really really need to get a handle on population issues. Not just a ratio imbalance but also pure absolute numbers. On some servers I think destro could potentially take a capital with no opposition.
The RvR campaign is a rediculously easy PvE grind if you are ahead of the other sides leveling curve. And if you outnumber the other side 3:1 you are almost certain to have the 30 people for a fast keep capture when they have 10 and can't do jack squat.
Its simple math really.
The servers are not currently "mature". And the growing pains are not handled at all. This is fine if the server fills up fast. But the majority of servers are not going to do this. It will get stretched out.
Giving a faction such a huge advantage just because they get to a Tier first is rather retarded. And is completely contrary to the idea that this is a game meant to be able to be played with just PvP.
Basically as it stands right low pop= Dedicated PvPer need not apply. PvE grinders get a huge advantage by getting complete tier dominance in exchange for a fairly easy warband level boss fight.
People who want PvP should only roll on a high pop server.
The game is fun and at least you have the option to play on a server that fits your needs. But many of the servers are not doing what they are meant to do.
So Iwill resub, but I am not under the illusion that everything i want will happen on my server unless it gets an influx of people.
If all there was, was just a few servers that were like the low pop one i am on. Then i would not resub because the game would not be working right really. Nor working as advertised. On the close to full servers it seems ok. The population ratio is problematic in offtimes, but its ok.

People complain about login queues, so they are told to roll on a low pop server. Either that or their server is cloned and they are told to play on the low pop clone. Then they find an empty world. Then people tell them to reroll on a high pop server. Population balance is a big problem in WAR and has more of an impact in gameplay than many other games, and most people have started to realize this.
Here is a snapshot of the guilded populations on different servers from a few days ago. Look at the differences in population on some of the servers. Some are very very empty if you are either ahead or behind the leveling curve.
already canned mine. Combat is to slow, no real "fresh" ideas.
To the people talking about the game hitching and system req's. I have 8gb or ram, Quad sli geforce 9800gx2, 2.8 quad core processor and guess what - i still get hitches!!! for a game that looks how it does, very very poor performance.
yeah,I probably will be. Its certainly the most 'fun' mmo ive played in years.
Ive already at level 14 taken part in several city sieges and used numerous siege weapons, been involved in mass 50 vs 50 battles in tier 1 and had loads of mini skirmishes/gotten ganked out in the open world (open server).
But they really need to sort out the broken issues and fast.
The chat is abysmal, one of the worst chat Uis ive seen since hellgate. the random group join I personally think harms the game more than helps. The bugs, strange mob behaviour, sometimes unresponsive UI,graphical clipping and out of range crap...its really harming an otherwise great game.

Whoah there, fella, I only said he MAY want to buy more computer hardware, not that he had to. If I am wrong than I am wrong, but I have this game on 3 different pcs, my buds have it on their pc's and they don't have this issue either. So someone explain that to me, please.
Yup, will definitely renew. After my huge mistake in trying AoC this game is a breath of fresh air and does everything right. don't know how long it will last but until I start running out of fun and content, I won't consider cancelling.
Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence. Woe to thee, the pierce-ed.
I've played quite a few mmo's at launch and I there are always lots of crashes and bugs to be found. That being said, I can honestly say Warhammer has had one of the best launches I have seen. I will be subbing to this one for a long time.

Yes, because I know how to actually use a PC and have 0 issues playing this game because of it. I think a lot of the Warhammer issues are simply PEBKAC.
No. Bland PvP. Scenarios are repetitive and are extremely boring because they feel like a grind. Laggy. No classes that appeal to me because they all seem "watered down".
I'm up in the air right now... still haven't been able to play since they shut off the people who hadn't gotten their copy of the CE yet. Nothing says fail, like telling your customers that they can't play because of shipping issues, and you can't set up a subscription, because you don't have a retail key yet....
no i will not resub i bought the whole world pvp thing. only now i realize pvp in war is not much different then wow in that there is no world pvp just scenarios (bg's anyone)and boxed pvp in the rvr zones outside that the world is statisc and has no world capture points that i've seen. i keep getting told the game begins at endgame why make a game i have to grind 40 levels just to get to the start or the game
This is a good post. I am enjoying the game so far but I am not sure its due to something being fresh and new or its possible the game is good? The biggest issue I have right now is what greydor has written in this post. I bought the game because I had an image of world wide battles and red zones all over the place. Towns overrun and cannons going off all over the place etc. However its far from it. The scenarios are fun but I dont see any end point to them. RvR is in a box and its too easy to run away. Plus the NPC cannons that you can take control of (wicked idea btw) can only just I mean just go over the RvR line meaning that you can only really use if the enemy is stupid enough to sit on the boundary. Then if a side wins over the realm it doesn't affect me in the slightest except for some minor merchant buffs etc.
Will I sub past a month? Probably but within a week of playing WAR I have already played AoC a fair bit as well so that isnt the best sign right now.
WAR has an amazing concept and great ideas but need to execute better.

Actually, there are numerous people using dual and quad core with 4gb RAM (myself included) that are experiencing massive 'game breaking lag' and poor performance. Just type in warhammer stutter in your search engine and see. Yeah, drivers, anti virus, flash bios, reinstall etc etc etc
Unfortunately, the game was rushed out well before it was finished to get in before WotLK before they committed to Blizzard again. Sadly, this has gone really wrong and they are hardly likely to admit to game breaking problems at this stage. AoC all over again
I really hope they fix it soon as the game has some great features, character customisation, PQ's, tome of knowledge etc but at the moment it's badly coded, crawling with bugs and no where near optimised enough for large numbers of players.
In answer to the OP, no, I'm not paying a sub fee as well for a half finished game. I didn't do beta but have submitted 24 bug reports so far, for a so called finished product, this is bad
Are we playing the same game? Just look at my sig for my specs barely any problems in huge RvR and I had lag in shatt in WoW.
Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms
