I resubbed and if there was ever an option for a lifetime account like in LotRO I would go for it asap.  Fantastic game.

Got boring pretty quick. Cancled. Wouldn't play it even if it was free.

  • StyijStyij Member Posts: 186

Cancelled. The game just felt pointless after awhile and restarting on the bottom at each tier sux. Engineer was the most interesting to play...until something breathed on you as it ran by. If I want to be ganked by characters five levels lower than me I'll just keep playing Eve thank you.

    Resub.

I mean besides LotRO what else is there besides WAR to play when you are sick and tired of WoW?

Yeah most of the time wives/families make it tough to play MMOs much......This is porobably why alot of companies are making their games solo friendly where you can get stuff done in a few minutes....... Also the problem with a poll like this is that the haters will say they canceleed even if they never played the game.......

Two of us cancelled within three days of installing it...sent the games back also.

    Cancelled.. won't be coming back.

Order Human Classes were too weak; didnt want to roll a dwarf/elf. To roll Destruction just cause they were better seemed... cheap. Like giving up/ giving in.

Sat around on a slow server waiting.. waiting.. waiting for some kind of action on a Core balanced server. Sometimes sat for almost an hour, during PRIME TIME evening hours (East coast). Rolled a order character on the Gank server just to check it out.. people everywhere but no thanks, not looking for "hardcore" pvp.

They need to cut out some of those dead/slow servers and combine them. That way the RvR and such will start going off just as its spose to. Otherwise people will only join on the jammed ones. I was constantly told "Just be patient, the servers will fill".

Think ill just go back to CoD4 for my pvp thrills.

I cancelled but I am going back to the game in early to mid 2009. It's a great but I just didn't have the money or the time to play it, and I dunno, I just got bored of scenarios, so next time I'm going to play it short.

I wonder if these poll results may have been similar to the amount of players who chose not to resubscribe to Age of Conan.

I think the AoC numbers would have been way more negative. Not necessarily because fewer people continued to pay and play, but because those who didn't had high hopes and felt betrayed - and some even went on to still trash the game as much as they can. For WAR it seems people either like it or just shrug and leave without much comment.

I cancelled. After hitting R40 last week, the game has become an utter bore. I only logon when my set group runs BS/Bile/Blood. And then I realized, I hate PvE and that's what the end-game has become (let's not forget how buggy, boring and unoriginal it is as well).

Taking keeps is fun, for the first five times until you realize it's the same thing over and over. Give me Lineage 2 seiges and clan wars, those are fun. Taking objectives, not so much.

    Scenerios, don't get me started.

And really, that's all there is at R40. I guess I expected too much from WAR.

I would just like to point out that the people who are really loving a game don't generally visit forums like this. They usually go only to sites where they can gain immediate knowledge about something in-game Thus any conversations and polls here will be skewed to the negative. How much? I can't say.

To an extent that's true. But seeing how I am in a guild of 150+, and we used to have 50+ at primetime, now there are nights with  only 20 online. Once a lot of us hit 40, it's either PvE instances, or the repetative scens/BFO that really get boring.

Crafting? That's a joke in this game.

Tome Unlocks? It's fun in the beginning, but for me, gets boring fast.

PQs? After running a Ch22 PQ who knows how many times to only receive a green bag, especially when a person who came in with just enough time to take one swing at the Lord and him receiving the massive bag, no thanks.

Really, that's all there is in the game at the moment. Atleast if they put some effot in the PvE endgame to hold us off, but it is so absolutely bugged, bland and unoriginal. Half the bosses have the same exact model. Half the bosses can't even be moved or they completely bug out. Then again, if I wanted a PvE game, there is a game called WoW which is 100x better. I play this game for PvP, which I am afraid to say, gets beaten by Shadowbane/Lineage2.

I feel the same: L2 is way better than WAR's ORVR and you can always have some e-peen fights, clan wars and even raid bosses are fun sometimes when 2 clans met and gank each other.

Sure it's the grind, the imbalance and w/e excuses you can make to throw L2 in the shadows, but the fact is, its OPVP remains far better than WAR.

I haven't decided yet to be honest. There are a lot of aspects I like about the game but I'm becoming more and more frustrated. Questing is fine but it can only take you so far and it's boring to be honest. Public Quest while great ideas are population dependent and if you don't have that they are worthless past the first stage. I'm in a guild but being I'm only on in the evenings for a few hours due to work and life I don't have much interaction with them.

The changes in chat were good and should have been done before launch as the chat system was horrible even back in the beta. Most people spend their time in scenarios it seems are have rushed so far ahead they aren't in the lower tiers. That or there are simply to many servers the population is spread to far. Then again it could very well be that Order's population is just horrible. I have seen more people on the Destruction side on the other servers I've tried.

The Tome of Knowledge is really fun however. I think Mythic in the end did a better job with Dark Age of Camelot.

Not really sure if I'll stay with the game past my free month, would like to see what changes are coming and play the Empire tank when it finally comes out (RvR is so unfair when you have a mostly Empire vs. a mostly Chaos force in open RvR or scenarios). However I'm leaning toward not staying with the game.

To be honest I had more fun playing Age of Conan (mostly because I've become a fan of the setting I guess) then I did WAR but that isn't saying much as I had issues with that game as well.

Resubbed, but this is most likely going to be my last month.  I hate how linear the PvE is, and I can't find anyone on Ironfist to do Public Quests with.  They're just...well...dead.  I think I'll give another genre a shot to pass the time, because I can't go back to the mess that is WoW.

I played Lineage 2 for over 2 years.  The PvP was not better then this.  Castle sieges could be intense -- once every 2 weeks.  And even then, gaining a castle benefitted such a small small minority of the playerbase.   WAR everyone in the realm gets satisfaction from RvR wins.

I won't resub; I don't have money now, and my computer isn't enough for this game. Maybe after I've bought a new one...

    Signatures are boring things.

I went ahead and paid for the second month, but shortly after all of my friends left and my guild disbanded, with the leaders and most players leaving for other games. I was already debating on leaving due to the healer renown patch and experiencing a lot of the things people have been discussing on the forums, so all of that with the prospect of having to find a new guild on a server with an increasingly low population was just too much. I cancelled the billing plan and am looking into some of the games the other people left to. I'm kind of hoping to try out Age of Conan, but I'm holding out hope for a buddy key before I invest anything.

Shoot and flame me if you want but i canceled.

I was very hyped for War, played in CB, OB, and pre start. What killed this game for me were pathetic animations, lack of fluidity in combat and buggy skills - especially savagery path for marauder - please visit warhammeronline in chaos subforum for full list. I really really tried to like this game, hyped my firends etc, I quit after couple of days in T3.

PVP + combat feeling were better in GW (even pve there is better). PVE is better in WOW. I dont really see a reason to stay.

  • EffectEffect Member UncommonPosts: 949

Don't think you should be flamed. We all have our reasons for not continuing with the game. Simply not having fun is as valid as a really long and drawn out reason I feel.

I've made my decision though. I won't be staying on once my free month ends. I've already canceled my subscription and I'll stay until that ends. I just wasn't having that much fun once I left tier 1 to be honest.

I've been playing Everquest 2 for the last day again. EQ just won't let me go lol. Though I might leave that soon though. It's a shame really. I like MMORPGs but the last games to really grab me outside of EQ1 and EQ2 and I game hopped with them for a serious amount of time were Dark Age of Camelot and Anarchy Online. Lack of population and even graphics has made it hard to play those now though.
