The original Star Wars films was geared to strike a cord in all age group's hearts.  It had it all.

The original Star Wars films are dead and forgotten.

The "new era" star wars, is geared toward children with ADD.

If you guys dont like Star Wars, fine, thats your prerogative. But dont mask it behind "its made for kids" or such trash. We have freedom of opinion. Democracy means you dont even have to THINK before you speak, so why use all thise pretense. Just admit you dont like Star Wars and leave the entire discussion about Star Wars to US. You wont play the game because you dont like SW, fine. I dont care, but WHY bother us all the time with your antics? Is that some kind of psychotic trauma you have to solve? if so, pls seek some help but dont live it out on fourms.

This "you" goes to all who just come here to bash Star Wars. Somehow it strikes me as the only ones who are kids here ARE you, closing your eyes and sticking our your tongue and yelling "bleeh, your toy sucks, nener nener!" Boy, if you guys just could see yourself from the outside.

We like Star Wars, you dont, lets finish THIS debate and leave the discussion here to those who like Star Wars. Thanks.

Am I the only one who realizes that Anakin kills a whole slew of kids in episode three? It may not have been the best movie but it was the best of the new trilogy by far because of the dark overtone. Trust me I watch the original trilogy today and I still enjoy it all the way through Especially Empire. The new trilogy has its moments but it is more geared for children then the others were and became more "Corny".

Sure...when I go to see a star wars film...i'm not expecting A Clockwork Orange...but strictly a film for kids?....

No, not a movie strictly for kids, which is why I said geared for kids.  It's a kids movie.

    Comparison:

Blade Runner - Physical violence directed at people who you see die.

Star Wars - Most violence, save for small bits, directed at droids or the almost droid like Storm Troopers

Independance Day - Cities blown up, shots of the after effects

Star Wars - World blown up in pretty CGI

Terminator - Romance... well we don't have to get too much into this

Star Wars - "I'm only beautiful because you think I'm beautiful"

Aliens - Anytime someone dies, usually their internals are splattering all over

Star Wars - Much like the 50s movies, people fall over when hit by lasers

Then add in the kids ties; Ewoks, Jawas, R2D2, Goofy droids, Pod racing, Yoda, etc.

Then add in the creators own words on how he geared the movie to kids.

Oh, and if the movie was oriented for adults instead of kids, you wouldn't have inuendo on Aniken killing the kids.  You would have seen him go in and start swinging.  However, since it's a kids movie, you don't.  It doesn't make the movie any worse, however it does serve it's target market.

What does this mean?  It means the movie was geared to children.  Does that mean that you can't enjoy it if you're over the age of 12?  No.  Here are some of the kids movies I really like: Star Wars, Incredibles, Castles in the Sky, Finding Nemo, Chicken Run, Kung Fu Panda... While I like them, I wouldn't mistake them for adult themed movies.  No, their kid flicks that the creators have managed to make enjoyable for everyone.

Anyway, all I was trying to get at is that complaining that the game is catering towards kids, when the whole franchise caters to kids, is really kind of ironic.  That's all.
