People's memory of the past tend to be overly fond of it. That your expectations have risen seems to have distorted the reality of the old days. I'm not saying the daoc was a bad game or bad for rvr, but overall parhaps you'd think it better for mythic to have left out alternative things to do other then rvr and basic pve? daoc with a warhammer skin? I think scenario's are a problem (mostly because I don't find them fun) but I think the goal was to -not- force people into a type of gameplay. I think Daoc has classic servers, you could play those if you want old school rvr.
play old school rvr servers, i did, and it just didnt feel the same. hopefully their new server they are going to add will be the way it use to be. if thats the case then heck yeah !!!!
but in all truth. i really did want warhammer to be good. i was hoping it be the game that carried me for year on end. but as i played on, i found nothing was going to change that fact.
if you can enjoy playing a game that dose not even compare to daoc in its glory day., then good for you. but as for the people who do pay attention to what games to play and what ones not to . im doing a service to people by letting them know that warhammer cant carry daoc's jock strap, let alone contend or be compared. when we were told this was spose to be a rvr game. not scenario game.
i hope this game will get better. i really do. but as for right now. it is what it is.
just as the title mentions this is not a lie, i bet you all 100$ right now that if you log into warhammer right now. go to a teir 1/2/3/4 zone ,your choice, i bet you money you wont see people in a rvr zone in comparison to the glory days of what daoc use to have . go ahead , do it. ill be waiting very comfortably holding on to my cash. we the people were lied to. we were told that this game would be about rvr . can you honetly say right now, that warhammers rvr is better then that of the glory days of daoc ? i bet you cant. im disapointed cause i was hoping for this game to be better then what daoc use to be. foolish me , thinking that i would actully find a game to play for the RVR and what i get is guarded keeps, that people plan to attack , but never do. so. let me get this straight . in a real war, people plan to attack the enemy , when the enemy is not there, hmmm intresting. and vice versa ? so i geuss if i wanted to ., i could play call of duty 3 right now, and "plan" to play capture the flag ,so that i will win because no one will be there to play against me . gee willikers thats sound so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Boring. when will this mentallity of "Planning around a certain time or day just to have fun" Die ? I plan to play a game now and plan to have fun, when i want to have fun , which would be "UNPLANED" , who would of thought of such a crazy concept, playing a game "unplanned" just to have fun , that sounds so , so , so ,brilliant !!!! yeah man, i mean, you play a game to have fun, right? not when it's a okay time to play, or just to wait ,but to really have fun, if your idea of fun is around some one eles clock,. then geuss what, thats not very fun, if it cant be anytime you want it to be. Wammer is not about rvr. its about the scenarios.,
Have you played the game recently?Im not a fanboy and as a matter of fact i mostly play WoW becasue it holds my interest longer but i do play WAR off and on to pvp and have a tier 4 toon.Since the latest patch that made ORVR xp huge theres constant battles and more people then ever. The devs are listening to the people and making things better. They are by far the best dev team ive ever seen.Everything the community says needs fixing gets fixing. The game is very much alive and well and your littl epost about how it sucks and this and that is not gonna kill the game so stop trying its pathetic.
yes i did try warhammer and thats why im posting this topic.
Sicc1, I am wondering where you begin and mark jacob's begins? Seams you have your head so far up his ass I am confused TO WHOM too speak to?
Umm like i said i dont care for WAR all that much myself. It has allot of things i dont care for.The PvP however is fun.I just dont see te point of people constantly bashing games they dont like and out rite lieing about them and saying there dieieng etc etc.Whats the point? An honest review is good. This kind of stuff is rediculous. That is all.Remarks like your will get you no where kid grow up.

Well you could be surprised if you havnt payed it in awhile.Becasue the first few weeks there was hardly any open RVR but now its booming.Since the xp increase patch it got much better. So if your looking to do keeps and such you might like the way things are going now opposed to a few weeks ago.
Face it, we wont see anything but cheap WoW clones till near future, because they are cheap to make and there is always million or so people ready to buy the box in hopes for the "new WoW"
I love that, a WOW clone. this has already been stated, WOW took other peoples Ideas and improved them. Just like Warhammer wants to. So as far as it being a clone, its a clone of a clone. Make sure you mention that.
Now to the OP. I like this statement logging into have fun. I know I do. Have fun around other peoples clock, interesting and true. But why can you not have fun in other places. Tell me, whats fun. Dungeons? Questing? PVPing? Tell me, please.
I want to break it down to all those who say "Theres no RVR this games sucks. Im going back to WOW" or whatever game it is. Tell me, what does that game offer, other then the same. (This goes to most games minus the sandbox)
You can quest - I am sick of hearing these people complain about WAR questing. Every other mmo is "Go collect X amount of items" "Go kill X amount of monsters" "Go speak to so and so". How are Wars worse? There not. There just not diffrent barring the PQ's. (Very unqiue, and please don't give me the crap about them being empty. Form a group.)
Scenario's - Just like WOW bgs. Peolpe grind BGs at 70 over and over for marks and honor for gear. Why not do it to lvl to? It makes no sense. There all the same, WAR just offereds to lvl you.
Instances - Yes, WOW ha more instances. But people are constantly running the same ones. AND how often are groups formed for RFC and SFK? Rarely unless someone is running them. So yeah, just like PQ's the lower ones are empty unless someones holding your hand. WAR has a few instances, there fun. But just like WOW there is only so many.
PVP - imo I would like to say, WAR is more balanced class wise. Hands down. BUT as far as combat, I believe they are exactly the same. Hotkey, click away for your skills to go off.
RVR - Seige battles are fun but in all honesty, If you thought they would be running 24/7 your an idiot. Im sorry, thats the way it is at this point. 6 Months down the road when there a crap loads of lvl 40's it will be RVR all the time. Now is to early so come back later.
The probelm here is everyone is saying WAR sucks yet when looked at closely the aspects are very same as WOW, with several diffrences. No fanboi's of either come and say diffrent. There practically the same game with diffrent extra's. So please. If this game is not for you, play something that iss, I want you to be happy. But to say this game is "no fun" maybe taking a break from mmo's all together is a good idea.
No insult intended, but maybe move on?
call me an idiot then cause i was wanting 24/7 rvr in a game, who would of thought
? , pvp is balenced, cause allmost every class in the game is a mirror image of itself on the other side, example, enginer /magus, bright wizard/sorcerer , ironbraker /Blackguard, i could go on and on, but do any of these clases have anything thats truly original in it self other then being called a diffent name ? no
you could find more original classes, that were "UNBALENCED" that made the game intresting in daoc then you could in warhammer.
as for your question , what i find fun is when i can go anywhere and bound to run into people doing things that i can be a part of. the pq's are a good start, but the problem with them is that most of the time people are queing up for scenarios,. which i hate btw , and then no one is around to do the pq anymore
10 mins scenarios in a random arena is not my idea of fun,. , my idea of fun was and still is this
: i go into a zone, im in a keep, i exit outside the keep , i see people there ,and further down i see people fighting and killing one another , so i go and join them , we take a tower. we rest for maybe 12 seconds before we get bombarded by another army of people and we defend, after a good 2 to 3 hours of attack and defend, we go on the offence to take a "KEEP" , then we get slamed by heavy forces, "actull players "
and then we get people lined up to march into a keep , one side shooting siege putting holes into walls, and entering into a keep , and then driving a ram to slam in the door. while you got people on top screaming for back up and before you know, another group shows up while you fight them .
and then after you finally get inside, you make your way up inside and outside and every nik and cranny to push your side agaist a force that is there to guard the keep lord, and geuss who is guarding ?, players, not npc bs. and then you kill the player, kill the keep lord, and do it all over again, !!! now you are on the deffence, and now you got a force breathing down your neck, and this type of action happens round the clock day in and day out.
BEAT THAT !!!!!
in the yellow says it all, You think this will happen after 1-2 months? You kidding me? With a large competoter like WOW who is realising an X-Pack soon. This is an awesome experience. You should be having fun in his, but realistically, after 2 months this is not Warhammer yet. Give it time.
This game is in the shadow of a HUGE monster that has people anticipating its newest addition. This game needs room to grow.
And yes, if thats what you expected then yes, I stick with my previous statement, its not just directed at you though, its directe at the population that believed in this. Just because someone states something, does not mean its they way it will be, deception is the ultimate sales angle. Get used to it.
Over time this game will hold many great seiges, deaths and battles. But with all perfections, they require time. SO LEARN TO GIVE IT!
just as the title mentions this is not a lie, i bet you all 100$ right now that if you log into warhammer right now. go to a teir 1/2/3/4 zone ,your choice, i bet you money you wont see people in a rvr zone in comparison to the glory days of what daoc use to have . go ahead , do it. ill be waiting very comfortably holding on to my cash. we the people were lied to. we were told that this game would be about rvr . can you honetly say right now, that warhammers rvr is better then that of the glory days of daoc ? i bet you cant. im disapointed cause i was hoping for this game to be better then what daoc use to be. foolish me , thinking that i would actully find a game to play for the RVR and what i get is guarded keeps, that people plan to attack , but never do. so. let me get this straight . in a real war, people plan to attack the enemy , when the enemy is not there, hmmm intresting. and vice versa ? so i geuss if i wanted to ., i could play call of duty 3 right now, and "plan" to play capture the flag ,so that i will win because no one will be there to play against me . gee willikers thats sound so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Boring. when will this mentallity of "Planning around a certain time or day just to have fun" Die ? i was still around even when they did the 100% xp per kill renown, and still no one shows up.
im not going to pay money for a game to get better by waiting . that is freaking stupid to do. ill wait without paying and see what happens , if i get reports that are honest and not from idiot fanbois that mention good things and i actully see proof , then ill come back/ , the warhammer lore and history is what got me to get the game, and i find the idea of playing a game thats better then what daoc use to be, and as a vampire count hella sweet, but you don't allways get what you want.
call me a bandwagon player, but that how it is, where ever there is action and plenty of it, ill be there, im not about to support a failed project to do what it wants to do .
just as the title mentions this is not a lie, i bet you all 100$ right now that if you log into warhammer right now. go to a teir 1/2/3/4 zone ,your choice, i bet you money you wont see people in a rvr zone in comparison to the glory days of what daoc use to have . go ahead , do it. ill be waiting very comfortably holding on to my cash. we the people were lied to. we were told that this game would be about rvr . can you honetly say right now, that warhammers rvr is better then that of the glory days of daoc ? i bet you cant. im disapointed cause i was hoping for this game to be better then what daoc use to be. foolish me , thinking that i would actully find a game to play for the RVR and what i get is guarded keeps, that people plan to attack , but never do. so. let me get this straight . in a real war, people plan to attack the enemy , when the enemy is not there, hmmm intresting. and vice versa ? so i geuss if i wanted to ., i could play call of duty 3 right now, and "plan" to play capture the flag ,so that i will win because no one will be there to play against me . gee willikers thats sound so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Boring. when will this mentallity of "Planning around a certain time or day just to have fun" Die ? I will agree with you, RvR nowadays cannot and will not hold a candle to what DAoC used to be in it's initial years.
Problem is you ignore the 800 lbs gorilla in the room that changed the culture, called WOW.
When DAoC didn't have to compete with something that went over the top in popularity, things were fine, people, for the most part, played games the way the game taught them to play. But that changed when WOW came out.
Now, quite a few years later, we have a whole different culture in players, that want things a specific way, yourself included. They stopped trying to play the games the way they were presented, but played it in ways they are comfortable with, and what 11 million people are copmfortable with is WOW and it's mentality.
If DAoC was released today, instead of years ago, I bet you it would have the same struggles that WAR is having right now. Mythic did the right thing in using a new IP for RvR to try and get a different population, instead of creating DAoC2 (Which btw, they said pretty clear up front that they were NOT trying to do). This was hopefully going to try to pull in a new player base (Warhammer fans) who may or may not have played WOW, into playing a game. But unfortunatly, I see alot of the present MMO culture and influence in WAR, trying to play it as a different game, instead of trying to play it as WAR.
Now, back a bit onto point. You complain this game (like DAoC) needs two sides to want to fight in order to function. That's the problem and risk with a group PvP or RvR centric game is that you need two sides, of conciderable size, to be in the same place, at the same time, to fight. One side of this mechanic is working too well, for alot of reasons, scenerios. It's quick, easy to get the two sides fighting, and it happens to fulfil the desires of a great many players in the fact it seems to have the best xp/renown per minutes effort rate. Funny thing is, this is a RvR game, designed around it, but it seems to have attracted a player base that has other priorities.
The plus side of all of this is that Mythic hasn't buried it's head in the sand and ignored this fact. This event that is going on, is pulling people away from the scenerios, and into RvR, though admittedly, only in the 4 zones that it is being held in, but it is proving the problem is not impossible to overcome. they also have in the pipeline, a PvP influence mechanic, which should help conciderably, if they itemize it correctly and balence out the rewards to be competitive to how people percieve scenerios to be. Between the RvR PQ popping ever 2 hours, more people are going after and contesting the RvR areas, which is loads of fun in my opinion and a step in the right direction.
Another issue is population. You need one of a certain population in order for it to be constant across the game. This takes time to judge and spread out. Unfortunatly, it was spread too thin. But again Mythic, I believe, had this concern pre-planned for. Look at SWG, AOC and all the other games that has been struggling for months to try and merge their populations. They have done in less than a month, in responce to early signs of the proble, made a fix and executed it with reasonable speed and accuracy. (I have not heard one lost character transfer yet)
Now, directly addressing your point (I believe your main one) that WAR has failed to recreate the high times of DAoC as an RvR game. Unfortunatly, things change. Players change, culture changes, technology changes, people's expectations change. Could any game recreate the feelings of DAoC in it's high days. My answer is no, things have changed too much, players and expectations especially. Unfortunatly, this is not DAoC 2. We need to move on. We need to learn what WAR has to offer, improve it and help it become one of the best games out there. That means accepting that 800 Lbs gorillia in the room and adapt to the changes he brings with him. Does that RvR is impossible? No. I simply think it just needs a new motivation to work based on what people expect and adjust accordingly. The spwecial event shows glimmers of what is needed to motivate this. Where Mythic goes from here, is up to them
I, for one, will enjoy the ride for what it is, play the game as it can be, enjoy the time I spend in it. I hope you find what you need as well. Good luck to you and have a good night.

there was never any doubt that people from other games would migrate for 30 or so days and test things out. did mythic exspect this to happen , yes and no . but at the same sence they didnt exspect people to leave as fast as they came also. server migration /serve balence and allready finding servers empty as a
birds nest in a tornado and what do you got? disater written all over it !!!. a games abillty to draw people in dose not have to have a certain style that fits the players who are playing it , but to understand what players will want from playing it. and this is why warhammer failed. they told everybody that this was game a rvr based game, did they , or did they not ?, and with people knowing fully well what company was making warhammer knew right off the bat what to exspect.
300 lbs gorrial aside, aka wow clone, people wanted to see for them selfs if mythic was going to make a rvr game, and what we got was a scenario driven based game. i highly doubt they got any real input from people who were beta testing it to begin with or elese they would of saw how often people loged in , stayed in the open rvr zones and continue to play
in a way i was looking for an mmo that would give me an addiction. as was most who were disapointed. but mythic was in controll, they had 3 years to perfect what they were making and its just not enough.
culter dose change , but there is a little something that people love to do, and that is to repeat history
finding this would of not been much of a challenge if mythic did the correct steps to ensure that what people were going to buy was what they were selling , and how they would of done that, they could of actully be honest and not lie to people but instead they die lie., hype is one thing that can down fall a game, but it can be usefull to if you want to make a quick buck, im pretty sure ea mythic was thinking about the quick dollar instead of long term success.

I agree. The trolling of this game has been unprecedented. I thought that as long as a game came out that didn't have lots of bugs like AOC or VG people would be cool. Didn't happen. This forum is full of whiners.
Sicc1, 1. Played the the game(horrible)! 2. Next time copy a shitty game and make it it goood! 3. why the fu*& are you talking to me and boasting a game you loveX2 and are here?
Is this one of those unscramble the words to make a sentence deals?
in daoc you could see people in the rvr zones at any given time
warhammer dose not have this
in daoc you had certain charecter that could climb up the keeps and attack the ranged dps /healers
in warhammer there is no charecters that can do that
in daoc you could put holes in walls,
in warhammer you cant
in daoc you would have 3 sides fighting for control of a keep
in warhammer there is only 2 sides
in daoc you had classes that fit a certain role that made them stand out amongst each other for what their job was, support, tank, melee dps, ranged dps, healer,
in warhammer there is only a few roles , tank , ranged dp , melee dps, and healer, no true support classes
in daoc you had hugh battles going on for hours in the rvr zones,
warhammer has yet to see constant hugh rvr battles going on constantly
daoc had the better RVR , warhammer will only come in 2nd place.

Basically yep, DAoC still holds the crown, WAR tried, but is a rather watered down version of it.

You seem to have completely missed the point I was trying to make earlier.
Did this happen in DAoC 2-4 years after WOW came out?
Has the dwindling of RvR due to the mechanics of the game, or is it because people's expectations have changed?
Have people been taught end game is king and nothing matters before then, therefore need to take the quickest and easiest route to the end (Which apparently senerios are?) and forget about all the content until then? It's a lesson that 11 million people seem to have learned to accept (and apparently enjoy). Do you think that lesson will be unlearned in just a month? 6months? A year?
You speek of DAoC as it was, not as it is today. You speek of the playing base as it was, before other lessons were hammered into their head by other games. The question is how can it be encouraged and accomplished with TODAYS playerbase, because it is greatly apparent the old playing base would rather be doing something else besides either WAR or DAoC. IF it truly has better RvR, it would have maintained and kept a greater playing base. It hasn't. WAR still has plenty of time to develop and change to adapt to the players of today. And Mythic is not being idle.
"In DAoC, you could see people in the RvR zones at any given time"
"Warhammer does not have this"
Hate to say it, neither game has it currently.
(paraphrase) "In DAoC you have characters that could scale the walls and attack, warhammer does not"
Any character in Warhammer can purchase, deploy and use Warmachines to contest the DPSers on the walls, and have much greater range.
"In DAoC you could put holes in walls, in Warhammer you can't"
Destroyable walls require rendering, constant load on the servers and increase lag. 2 games are currently attempting this. Neither are over 50 per side, both had to instance it (and probably on seperate servers) Odds are current engines just cannot handle it open world format. And remember both of those games had MUCH longer development times and still did not get it right for open world.
Paraphrase "DAoC had 3 sides, WAR 2"
DAoC was what they could make it what they wished. WAR is based on IP and they chose to make it 3 vs 3, ie 2 sided. I do not honestly see the added benifits of more sides in this aspect except to split and water down the player base further.
WAR, to you, is missing a "pure" support class. Support is melded into every class, through skills, tactics, morale and mastery. Some more heavily than others. It seems to switch between races. The only class that does not have a wide support options are the tanks. The rest depends on the race. One uses the Ranged DPS for support, another the Healer, a third the melee DPS. Just because they did not specifically make one to satisfy your expectations, let's be honest, they never advertised it either. This goes back to the 800 Lbs gorillia I was trying to tell you about. People have developed pretty fierce expectations nowadays, wether it's their desire for a certain mechanic (like linkable items in chat), class role (for you is support) or even type of game (sandbox comes to mind) and the attitude that goes with it being "I either get all I want or this game sucks!" Instead of playing it as it was written. There is simply too much out there, alot of it conflicting, to put in one game. All I hear is alot of yelling "This is not <insert game here>!". Most the time it's WOW, for you, it's DAoC. I can only put this as simply as follows. This is WAR, not WOW clone mk II, not DAoC II, not <insert game here> clone II.
As to the last 3 comments. WAR has more ongoing RvR currently (because of the special event) I have seen since beta, and better than DAoC has currently. But I will be honest, it's too early to tell if this will grow or fade. People choose to do what they want to do, this game is not forcing anyone to play scenerios. IF you truly want to make a difference, get onto a server that one side is weaker than the other, organize the players, make a guild, schedule raids into RvR, take points, take keeps, show the "Superior" side you will not stand by and just let them keep everything. I bet you will find plenty of RvR, if that is truly your desire.
Have a good day. I hope I have given you plenty to think about

and here is what you are FAILING to see, when i state that the things about warhammer in comparison im speaking from the postition of the player who is paying for what they play not some jerk that is useing mommys credit card and never has to pay to play. and since warhammer has a subscription fee, you would exspect them to know how to keep ahold of their subscriber base if they wanted to make money for years to come instead of take a game company name like warhammer and slaping it on the box,
there should never be an exscuse for why the game sucks , or lacks the play value anyways.
if this game was all about rvr, could you honestly say that its rvr mechanic is better then that of the glory days of daoc ? i know for a fact you cant, and the reason why is because when mythic made daoc at the time, they didnt have a greedy company like EA breathing down their neck trying to make the game apeal to the casual crowed , and thats when things were good. they were making a game that people could play where they had the option to play against each other. and when people di play against each other , they did it for hours !!!! not 15 mins and then off to do what you want to do,.
mythic had a chance to make a great rvr game and i was exspecting people to be playing in the rvr zones, who would of thought ? i was exspecting that i could just play the game how i wanted, like i have in any game, but found that not to be the case. and you want to make exscuses for the wow crowed for ruining the game ? that is just plain silly, its not the way a certain crowed plays the game, they learn to play and adapt to it like i have , so then what is the problem ? huh ? its the freaking game itself , its scenario hammer 24/7 not the rvr hammer the game they were promising us , if they were looking to make the game about the rvr they would of took out the scenarios, they would of made it ease to get to the rvr zones , and they would of improved upon what they sposedly learned from in daoc, but they didnt, heck evenin beta people were telling them to put in keeps, and they didnt do it untill they got the okay from ea to do so. wtf ???and you want to make exscuses for warhammers short comings ? yeah, go ahead and support a game that is starting to die off fast anyways.
just as the title mentions this is not a lie, i bet you all 100$ right now that if you log into warhammer right now. go to a teir 1/2/3/4 zone ,your choice, i bet you money you wont see people in a rvr zone in comparison to the glory days of what daoc use to have . go ahead , do it. ill be waiting very comfortably holding on to my cash. we the people were lied to. we were told that this game would be about rvr . can you honetly say right now, that warhammers rvr is better then that of the glory days of daoc ? i bet you cant. im disapointed cause i was hoping for this game to be better then what daoc use to be. foolish me , thinking that i would actully find a game to play for the RVR and what i get is guarded keeps, that people plan to attack , but never do. so. let me get this straight . in a real war, people plan to attack the enemy , when the enemy is not there, hmmm intresting. and vice versa ? so i geuss if i wanted to ., i could play call of duty 3 right now, and "plan" to play capture the flag ,so that i will win because no one will be there to play against me . gee willikers thats sound so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Boring. when will this mentallity of "Planning around a certain time or day just to have fun" Die ? I plan to play a game now and plan to have fun, when i want to have fun , which would be "UNPLANED" , who would of thought of such a crazy concept, playing a game "unplanned" just to have fun , that sounds so , so , so ,brilliant !!!! yeah man, i mean, you play a game to have fun, right? not when it's a okay time to play, or just to wait ,but to really have fun, if your idea of fun is around some one eles clock,. then geuss what, thats not very fun, if it cant be anytime you want it to be. Wammer is not about rvr. its about the scenarios.,
That's TIER 3 PVP. Now MR. TROLL you have two options. Either hand me over the money or shut up and never ever come back and troll on WAR forums.
Some people lie so confidently, it amazes me.
it's great when open RvR happens, the problem is that it DOES NOT happen frequently. I have been riding my horse and looking around for people to take a keep and nobody is available since they are doing scenarios.
So besides 1 other person nobody noticed that the 2 pics posted was basically a order zerg attacking a keep, where there was little to no destro, as laughed about by the chat logs?

We take keeps everyday at 8:00 PM, my suggestion to you is get in a real guild that actually uses its calendar and schedules events.
LOL at the guy who took the screenshots, you might wanna turn off names the next time you screenshot RVR, all i see is a great wall of text, lol. looks like great fun you had there though. been i a couple of those, RVR is great, i could never go back to WOW after experiencing a real RVR battle like that.

here is the thing what people are not understanding, if this games rvr was spose to be better then that of the glory days of DAOC , there will never be a need to be in a guild , just to rvr . you would simply go to a rvr zone, and groups would be looking for people to fit a certain role, it would not matter what class you were , cause then people were throwing invites automaticly, and they would have vent ready and up or teamspeak , to better cordinate attacks and such. ,
so my question to you is , would you enjoy the game more if this was the case ? where as soon as you loged on there was rvring going on ? , or are you perfectly happy with the current state of the game as how it is now ?
So besides 1 other person nobody noticed that the 2 pics posted was basically a order zerg attacking a keep, where there was little to no destro, as laughed about by the chat logs?
Do i need to post pictures like slide show for your satisfaction? after 10 mins we were rolled over by Destro and then we came back again and it went on like this for quite a while.
And didn't you use to be such a rabid fanboy of WAR? what happened? Man you guys have 0 credibility when it comes to MMO. You change color faster than bloody chameleons.

The problem is many people were waiting and expecting the NEXT latest and greatest thing to hit the MMO market. DAOC 2.0. like RVR maybe since they had the RVR system perfected in that game. People don't want more of the same they want a a game that makes you go excited to play it because its a totally new experience all around. We didnt get that new experience in WAR sorry to say. A few major changes could turn the game around. Maybe they will give us the player what we ask.
i dont think 200 ppl in rvr are much, i remember daoc relic raids whit over 500 ppl on emain in 2002<->2004 and today on daoc free shards u get 250-300 on instant 50 mode
Comments
play old school rvr servers, i did, and it just didnt feel the same. hopefully their new server they are going to add will be the way it use to be. if thats the case then heck yeah !!!!
but in all truth. i really did want warhammer to be good. i was hoping it be the game that carried me for year on end. but as i played on, i found nothing was going to change that fact.
if you can enjoy playing a game that dose not even compare to daoc in its glory day., then good for you. but as for the people who do pay attention to what games to play and what ones not to . im doing a service to people by letting them know that warhammer cant carry daoc's jock strap, let alone contend or be compared. when we were told this was spose to be a rvr game. not scenario game.
i hope this game will get better. i really do. but as for right now. it is what it is.
Sicc1,
I am wondering where you begin and mark jacob's begins? Seams you have your head so far up his ass I am confused TO WHOM too speak to?

Enjoy : )
Sicc1,
1. Played the the game(horrible)!
2. Next time copy a shitty game and make it it goood!
3. why the fu*& are you talking to me and boasting a game you loveX2 and are here?
Well you could be surprised if you havnt payed it in awhile.Becasue the first few weeks there was hardly any open RVR but now its booming.Since the xp increase patch it got much better. So if your looking to do keeps and such you might like the way things are going now opposed to a few weeks ago.
i was still around even when they did the 100% xp per kill renown, and still no one shows up.
im not going to pay money for a game to get better by waiting . that is freaking stupid to do. ill wait without paying and see what happens , if i get reports that are honest and not from idiot fanbois that mention good things and i actully see proof , then ill come back/ , the warhammer lore and history is what got me to get the game, and i find the idea of playing a game thats better then what daoc use to be, and as a vampire count hella sweet, but you don't allways get what you want.
call me a bandwagon player, but that how it is, where ever there is action and plenty of it, ill be there, im not about to support a failed project to do what it wants to do .

I agree. The trolling of this game has been unprecedented. I thought that as long as a game came out that didn't have lots of bugs like AOC or VG people would be cool. Didn't happen. This forum is full of whiners.
Extremism in the defense of Liberty is no vice.
Is this one of those unscramble the words to make a sentence deals?
Darkfall - Sick
Earthrise - Sick
in daoc you could see people in the rvr zones at any given time
warhammer dose not have this
in daoc you had certain charecter that could climb up the keeps and attack the ranged dps /healers
in warhammer there is no charecters that can do that
in daoc you could put holes in walls,
in warhammer you cant
in daoc you would have 3 sides fighting for control of a keep
in warhammer there is only 2 sides
in daoc you had classes that fit a certain role that made them stand out amongst each other for what their job was, support, tank, melee dps, ranged dps, healer,
in warhammer there is only a few roles , tank , ranged dp , melee dps, and healer, no true support classes
in daoc you had hugh battles going on for hours in the rvr zones,
warhammer has yet to see constant hugh rvr battles going on constantly
daoc had the better RVR , warhammer will only come in 2nd place.

We take keeps everyday at 8:00 PM, my suggestion to you is get in a real guild that actually uses its calendar and schedules events.
here is the thing what people are not understanding, if this games rvr was spose to be better then that of the glory days of DAOC , there will never be a need to be in a guild , just to rvr . you would simply go to a rvr zone, and groups would be looking for people to fit a certain role, it would not matter what class you were , cause then people were throwing invites automaticly, and they would have vent ready and up or teamspeak , to better cordinate attacks and such. ,
so my question to you is , would you enjoy the game more if this was the case ? where as soon as you loged on there was rvring going on ? , or are you perfectly happy with the current state of the game as how it is now ?
Do i need to post pictures like slide show for your satisfaction? after 10 mins we were rolled over by Destro and then we came back again and it went on like this for quite a while.
And didn't you use to be such a rabid fanboy of WAR? what happened? Man you guys have 0 credibility when it comes to MMO. You change color faster than bloody chameleons.
The problem is many people were waiting and expecting the NEXT latest and greatest thing to hit the MMO market. DAOC 2.0. like RVR maybe since they had the RVR system perfected in that game. People don't want more of the same they want a a game that makes you go excited to play it because its a totally new experience all around. We didnt get that new experience in WAR sorry to say. A few major changes could turn the game around. Maybe they will give us the player what we ask.
i dont think 200 ppl in rvr are much, i remember daoc relic raids whit over 500 ppl on emain in 2002<->2004
and today on daoc free shards u get 250-300 on instant 50 mode
BestSigEver :P
you have got to be pooping me, really ? what server dude . and is it constant like it use to be ?
