I work for a major company, and I just recieved an email last friday that due to the elections and the upcoming tax burdens our international growth will be stiffled, and our year-end incentives will be cut.

I never lose -- I win no matter who is in the government. It's never been a particularly important part of my life, being I am a man who ensures his freedom by having a free mind and enough wealth to be free in any situation.

But, back to the subject at hand, rather your attempted hijack and personal attack. I was merely asking what the OP meant by "the right side of history. In that Barack Obama is the most socialistic person to ever get elected to the White House, it is logical to assume he feels the destiny of man is to live under a global socialist state.

I can top you. I was visited by the ghosts of both Lenin and Stalin last night and they told me that the Obama's are going to have another baby. They are going to name him "Karl Marx Hussein Obama" and that both of their spirits are going to be reborn together in the boy. This boy will go on to rule the new Soviet Union of America that his father will spend the next 20 years(yes Barack Obama will overthrow the government and install himself as Dictator) creating just for him.

Wouldn't it be a laugh riot if it comes out that Obama is not actually qualified to be elected president because he's not an American citizen? I understand this issue is set to come out in the next month...
Ditto on the college and healthcare. IMO all state run colleges should be tuition free like they are for elementary, middle and high schools. If you want to go to a private or ivy-league college, then you pay. And as for the wealthiest and most powerful nation on the planet not having universal healthcare....well that's just unexcusable.

Considering the tax plan Obama has outlined, the only reason this would occur is if the head honchos want to keep thei high salaries, so they get rid of employee incentives to offset the money they lose to taxes. The iternational growth cutting just means they are cutting the expenses incurred through import/export and other international expenditures to further offset the money being diverted from their nesteggs.

With all of the funding, Obama was MEANT to win. Anybody who had predicted he would have lost given they had a television set probably believes in unicorns.

Want to see what a socialist state gets ya?
Take a look at Cuba as the worst case scenario and then China.China "Lets" its people practice capitalism BUT there is no freedom of religion no questioning authority and no traveling without permission.
BTW Cuba is stuck in the 50's and blames its woes on the US while socialist europeans vacation there.

Cuba and China were both Communist countries. Or did something change when I wasn't looking?
I think the countries like Sweden, France, Canada etc.. are more closer to socialism (democratic socialism) than what you mentioned.
And all those countries look just fine to me economically. And the people look FAR happier and healthier and better educated across the population, as opposed to the US.. where we have education in the affluent areas good, in the cornpone towns and big cities.. bad. Not so fair.

Apparently you haven't looked at China in a while...
Communism IS socialism, of a more pure form than the welfare state socialism of Sweden and France. Those and Canada are MIXED ECONOMIES.
The communist countries are the most pure socialist ones, and as such, they fail in the most spectacular way. the mixed economies, lie ours, all fail at different rates and degrees. Generally, the most market oriented ones do the best. Ours used to be the most market oriented one, and we used to blow everyone away.
The past few decades we have embraced more and more socialism, and, of course, as one would predict, we have beend oing worse. the "socialist" countries you have mentioned have been moving away from socilaism and towards more market-oriented style, which is becoming more pronounced with the EU.
Thus, they are starting to do better. History is moving towards freedom, away from socialism. WE are moving in the wrong direction, and that is the wrong direction the new President wants to take us in.

Apparently you haven't looked at China in a while...
China is a fascinating combination of communism and what communists refer to as "state capitalism." They try and mimic capitalism within a communist framework. It is far better than communism, but in inherently unstable and will lead to either freedom and markets, or collapse back into communism. We'll see how it turns out.
