Everyone who's anyone wants a piece of her. Late night TV offers, daytime talk show offers and book deal offers. There are some issues about whether all this attention will interfere with her governing duties, but she's an instant multi-millionaire if she wants to be.

John McCain's legacy......not bad for an old maverick.
I'm pretty sure McCain doesn't want to be known for the rise of Palin.
palin is not a good speaker, i always thought of her as a joke as far as politics came. I liked mccain, but palin made me dislike both obama/biden and mccain/palin. Seeing her interviews were painful to watch, i'm sorry but giving her more facetime for the republicans i think would hurt the party then help it.

Whats unusual about this is the news coverage is still going on even after the election is over.but their is 4 yrs tell the next election which is a life time in politics,we will have to see if she has staying power.
4yrs is plenty of prep time.
Trade in material assumptions for spiritual facts and make permanent progress.
Good for her if she gets into show business, I'd definitely prefer she go that route rather than national politics.
Best thing to happen to politics since Ronald Reagan. I look forward to seeing what she does next.

Worried about what a formidable candidate she would be, huh?
I hope that she runs for President in 2012. It will be another easy win for the Democratic Party.

Even after the Democrats destroy the country in the next four years?
After having Bush as our President for 8 years, the only thing that could be worse is the Apocalypse. $15 billion a month in Iraq, 10% unemployment in some areas, 10 trillion dollars in debt. Shall I go on, or should we continue talking about Ms. Fargo?
"You betcha!" *wink wink*

The country doesn't have anywhere to go but up. You've certainly got a skewed view if you think things are going great right now.

There's an old saying, "Be content with where you're at. Because there's always a worse saying". And it's so very true. This country isn't going great right now at all. But it'll be viewed that way in four years. This country is going down down down. If you think this is rock bottom, God give your soul strength when you see real adversity.

Please do. Oh, don't bother, I'll do it for you. 10% unemployment in some areeas? How ambiguous can you be? The national unemployment rate is 6.1%. Compare that to the 19% unemployment rate during the Great Depression and the 10.8% unemployment rate in the late 70s. Not to mention the 13.5% inflation in the late 70s under Jimmy Carter, the highest inflation in US history and the last time a Democratic President had a super majority in the Senate (Obama doesn't have that yet, but he may).
The national debt didn't begin under Bush, it's been around for decades. You can't put all the blame for that on Bush, but I personally hold Bush responsible for at least some of the massive growth in government. It's his biggest failure as far as I'm concerned. But do you really expect the Democrats to be more fiscally responsible? If anything, they're excited about all these bailouts because they see it as an opportunity for even more government growth, more stimulus spending and more consolidation of the private sector.
Watch for your already high taxes to go up considerably to pay for all this growth as well. I haven't even touched on the subject of nationalized medicine. And I'll withhold comment on national security for now because it's too soon to say exactly what Obama will do. But if he can keep us as safe as Bush has after 9-11, I'll consider him a success in that area.
Im not reading about her. I skip articles when I see her name in the caption. I'm skipping this thread too.
It's a little late for that, don't you think?
Worried about what a formidable candidate she would be, huh?
I sure was. Before November 4th anyway.

The sky is falling the sky is falling ........do I hear? Don't bother heard it before when Clinton took office. He was the President that cut spending and reduced the size of government, and who's key appointments are now taking there post in the Obama White house. Maybe ...just Maybe the Republicans will learn something this time.
You see, she is dangerous tot eh Left and they have to destroy her now. No one even knows Biden is VP elect but they keep talking about Palin.

Some of us are old enough to remember Carter and, yes it can get much much worse. Obama's talk is like Carter II.....we will see how the "spread the wealth" trickle up poverty works out.
It's a little late for that, don't you think?
Well, he ain't gonna skip before reading it!
Clinton never cut spending as President and he never reduced the size of government. It was the Republican Congress that cut federal spending and they only managed to do that one year. I'm pretty sure it was in 1995 and I think the budget only shrank by a meager $23 billion.
And if you're trumpeting the Obama appointees who were in the Clinton Administration, you're one of the few liberals who is doing so. It turns out Obama is already receiving his biggest criticism from the left for what they are calling his backward looking choices. They were expecting change and this doesn't qualify in their book. They wanted to see new faces and what they are seeing is largely a third Clinton term with Obama as President.
A word of advice for everyone. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, a conservative or a liberal. Don't place too much of your trust in any politician no matter who they are or how promising they seem to be. Because no matter they say, they will never be able to deliver on a majority of what they promise and, in fact, will probably only be able to deliver on a small fraction of it. Unless the person is Ronald Reagan (haha, jk .

I'll settle for a balanced budget and a yearly surplus and I think most swing voters will too.

I was ready to dispute you until you mentioned Reagan at the end...hehe
You know what? People have been saying this as long as I can remember but people keep electing the ones that will bring in the pork. I don't see any cure to it myself. It is not a "swing vote" issue.
Are you going to watch the Nailin' Palin movie made by Larry Flynt?
