Even after the Democrats destroy the country in the next four years?

The country doesn't have anywhere to go but up.  You've certainly got a skewed view if you think things are going great right now.

Lets see, still havent hit carter years and we have a long way to go till a true depression. So yeah it could get much worse.

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

This is a great development, because Palin will lead the GOP into a wilderness it will never find its way out of.

Republicans with any intelligence reject her outright.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Are you going to watch the Nailin' Palin movie made by Larry Flynt?

Ive seen clips of it, pretty disappointing.  The girl playing Palin could have at least tried to immitate her accent.

    You don't know that yet.

Yes Obama won the election, and he will have a democratic majority in the houses to work with. It is fairly certain that his policies will be implemented with a minimal resistance.

But the race isn't done, we are dealing with an exceptionally radical democrat with limited experience who has been more than a little ambiguous about the way he intends to implement his policies. It is entirely possible, if exceptionally unlikely, that he will be the anwer to everything, fixing problems that no one has ever been able to solve before, and restoring the reputation the USA once had in the world. It is also entirely possible that he will make a decent president that will start to ease us out of a serious economic issue that had its roots during the Clinton administration (although it wasn't his fault either). But at the same time, no one, not even the Democratic leaders, are entirely certain what Obama will do. Four years from now, you just might be wishing you had Bush back, lack of um... charisma and all, if there were no one else.

For now, we get to wait and see whether or not any of us have actually "won" anything. Frankly, I hope this man surprises us all with his effectiveness. So far though he has done nothing except begin what looks like another hohum Clinton administration, which definitely won't solve our current issues.

He hasn't begun any kind of administration yet, George W. Bush is still the President of the United States of America.

If you know hes obviously not president yet, and all he is doing is filling chairs.. What sort of "actions" do you expect him to have done up to this point?  Step all over GW's shoes and "pretend" to be president?  Ya, im sure that will warrant a respectable comment from people like you.

just curious, you're the one who made the comment that  " So far though he has done nothing except begin what looks like another hohum Clinton administration".  What should he be doing at this point?  Reconstructing a Bush presidency?

There's an old saying, "Be content with where you're at. Because there's always a worse saying". And it's so very true. This country isn't going great right now at all. But it'll be viewed that way in four years. This country is going down down down. If you think this is rock bottom, God give your soul strength when you see real adversity.

The sky is falling the sky is falling ........do I hear? Don't bother heard it before when Clinton took office. He was the President that cut spending and reduced the size of government, and who's key appointments are now taking there post in the Obama White house. Maybe ...just Maybe the Republicans will learn something this time.

Yeah. Heard the same thing from the Democrats when Dubya took office. "The sky is falling! the sky is...." Wait....the sky DID fall! My bad! :)

Dan Quayle is in the GOP, so that means he is the Dan Quail (sic) of the GOP.  Also, you misspelled his name.  You're not Dan Quayle yourself, are you?

Dan Quayle never achieved the type of popularity Sarah Palin has and he never got the kind of offers she is getting.  He didn't have the charisma she has and he never ran a state.  The biggest mistake the Democrats can make is to continue to underestimate her (or as George Bush would say, misunderestimate her).  So by all means, keep doing it.

And you keep believing she's actually achieved something in national politics, besides poll numbers disgraceful to McCain's ticket and a resulting loss.

And you keep bringing up Democrats. Be it congress or the presidency, it's rival Republicans she has to worry about first during primaries.

Palin didn't even survive Katie Couric and Tina Fey during her 10-week stint as vice-presidential nominee. Woe for her when its time for 12+ months of right-wing brutality if she decides to run for president in 2012.

She'd be smart to take up the offer for show business. If she doesn't, by all means, I'd rather see Obama run against her in 2012 rather than a competent Republicans.

    That's a four-year commitment, pal. No thanks.

If you feel like betting though, I'll bet that you will have forgotten about her in ten-weeks time, the same amount of time it took for you to get to know her.

    Okay, I'll call.

Can I place a side bet against you on that? Any amount of money says he still remembers her in twenty weeks time. YOU name the price and the currency. Send a PM of you have the guts to make an actual wager on this.
