i just read it, it's actually going to be released!
Not bad, they almost made it in 2008.
finally we get to see this game fail and finally fade away into the ass ends of the internet so no one has to hear about it anymore.
wonder when the NA launch will be. maybe the 29th?

Too bad there's no announcement of Open beta, but I guess that a launch at that time means we will also get the free trial thing at that time.

So my estimate of open beta in late December to early January with a release sometime later in January I made in another thread was spot on.

Nice find, - that's about what was to be expected. They missed the 2008 release, which was more or less clear over the last couple of weeks but make an acceptable, early release in 2009, - fair enough in my book.

I've always said I'm looking forward to trying the game when it finally releases. Plus, it's good to see that this silly debate is going to draw to a close in the foreseeable future. But hey...with people like you around, I'm sure my forum amusement is still guaranteed for a while.

I've always said I'm looking forward to trying the game when it finally releases. Plus, it's good to see that this silly debate is going to draw to a close in the foreseeable future. But hey...with people like you around, I'm sure my forum amusement is still guaranteed for a while.

What I'm really surprised about is... why the trolls have immediately lept on the 'well, the game will probably suck anyway' line. Surely they could've gone for 'Tasos is lying again, if the game comes out Jan 22nd it'll be like January 2012 probably LOL LOL I R SO WITTY!!1'?

My dear, obviously memory-handicapped person.
With people like you, I mean people who label anyone who ever said anything negative about this game as a Troll. I refer to people who have been giving this games community a bad image for the last couple of years. I refer to everyone who, when I pointed out possible problems or difficulties of the game at launch, jumped all over me and labeled me a Troll and a hater. I refer to people who can't distinguish between a blatant hater and a person who is just not as suckered in as some other people on this board.
I am not contradicting myself in any way. I've said for ages that I want to try DF. I've even received a very friendly invitation to a DF guild by one of the members of this board, which I might even take up, if the game plays out to be what it promised to be.
Now please, go back to your hole and leave me alone with your little attacks. It is sweet that you give me so much attention, but I just wanted to express my joy at finally hearing a release date after asking for it for a long while.. Have a problem with that?

Df is gonna be no where near as big as wow but theres more enough people who love their open full loot pvp to support df, "game is going to fail and everyone knows it" is a bit harsh.

Why dont you just leave this thread and game to the ones interested in the game?
