In fact, I've seen more than one perfectly legitimate thread get locked, even just within the last few hours, because some idiot got on the first page and started spamming "ZOMG VAPORWARE" and other miscellaneous hate.
He has every right in the world to say those things, and people like you were asking for it. Very typical that you would come along now and act all offended.

Every person paying attention to this game is a potential customer. To think otherwise will put artificial limitations on your consumer base thus losing you money. That precious word of mouth Tasos has been banking on works both ways. It has been researched and proven that negative comments by consumers have a far greater affect on sales then positive. That is why there is a saying that for every person with a negative view of your product there are 10 more potential customers lost through word of mouth. Tasos and obviously you do not understand this concept.
Here is the problem that you fanbois just don't understand. Many on here that are skeptical actually want the game to fullfill its theoretical potential. The actual trolls are just a fraction of the negative posts on here yet EVERYONE with a negative comment is labelled as such. This forum is so polarized that anyone that posts has to be either for or against DF.
I have seen just as many threads get locked because of fanbois going balistic over any negative comment too, what is your point? Heck, the DF mods on their official boards have more then once encouraged a mass invasion by hardcore fans on this and other sites. There are militant attitudes on both sides of this issue to be so blind as not to recognize this only clarifies who you really are.
Tasos does have every right to say those things. By your own standard the trolls, skeptics, fanbois, and every other person on these boards has a right to express their oppinions too. However you get just as offended and even use derogetory terms such as "ilk" to express your vitriol towards them. The hipocracy in your words is quite evident though I doubt you will ever be able to percieve the truth of what I say.
There is a release date and with any luck the game will be 1/2 way decent. I am skeptical as I have always been, but like almost everyone else here I hope for the best. There is no shame in being a realist. Tasos and Aventurine does not owe anyone anything yet, but on that same sentiment no one owes them only positive comments either. I expect this contention to only heat up after release because I know there are people that pretend to want harsher penalties in a game, yet will not be able to handle them once they are beaten down repeatedly. So bluster on and bellow with rage at the audacity of people on these forums... All too soon the truth will be known and hopefully heads will roll.

I refer to people who have been giving this games community a bad image for the last couple of years. I refer to everyone who, when I pointed out possible problems or difficulties of the game at launch, jumped all over me and labeled me a Troll and a hater. I refer to people who can't distinguish between a blatant hater and a person who is just not as suckered in as some other people on this board.
I am not contradicting myself in any way. I've said for ages that I want to try DF. I've even received a very friendly invitation to a DF guild by one of the members of this board, which I might even take up, if the game plays out to be what it promised to be.
Now please, go back to your hole and leave me alone with your little attacks. It is sweet that you give me so much attention, but I just wanted to express my joy at finally hearing a release date after asking for it for a long while.. Have a problem with that?

I dont mind people outing negative comments on Darkfall at all , heck i have shared my honest opinions about the game aswell. what i dont like is people making it a full time job to crap on a game just for the sake of it and out of pure ignorance.

That being said, if Tasos cant handle the criticism that he and his company cultivated with their secrecy, he should find a new job. And many of the people you label as trolls are in fact going to be customers if Aventurine can deliver on their promises, myself included. Anyone familiar with my post history will tell you that Ive been following this game for many years, and hope that they do deliver, however that being said Im skeptical after the releases of such games as Vanguard and AoC.

Unsubstantiated? Where? Mostly negative, mostly critical is what I would say. But then again, you may be right. I have not yet praised DF apart from praising its idea to bring fresh wind into the MMO genre, a much needed breath of fresh air.

Yes. When you summarily dismiss anyone who is a "skeptic" as a Troll in your interview and that is what he did, you act very much like a prick. History may show that he had a right to do so. We do not know that yet, because we do not know what game we will see come release. Until then, he was being arrogant. Rightfully so? Neither you, nor I know, but you choose to blindly believe it. I choose to wait and see.

I'm not crapping on anyone who shows love for a game. And i believe I have never done so (except for some instances when it was creepy, like calling the DF Dev's "pure and clean" and comparing looking at them to looking at the sun. What I do speak out against, is when somebody summarily labels a group of people trolls, regardless of what they are actually saying.

I posted my name for DF already twice. So feel free to look me up. And if they accomplish what they promise, sure they will get my respect. Will they get it before that? Not so much. Not with what happened so far.
And I woooted for the game's release before you people started praising Tasos -again- to the high heavens. The questions were straightforward and he answered straightforward, I don#t even disagree there. But he lumped everyone, even the skeptics into one big category and called them trolls. I've called out anyone on this forum for doing so, I will say the same to Tasos.
And I explained my opinion. And my opinion about how tasos made himself appear in that interview has zip to do with the game itself because it's not just him making the game after all, now is it?

Can you not seperate the two? I am in the same boat, I hope Darkfall releases and is all theyve promised. But I dont care for Tasos. Those are two totally different things.
Excellent news. Now, I just hope they make the beta public as soon as possible so I can try the game and finally see what and how it is.
