Problem with conqs is kinda that they trashed part of them, the combat formation part. That makes them feeling kinda incomplete and the small buffs it got isn't enough (even though I do like the combat rez).

The combat system have been fixed a bit so the combos are shorter to work better in PvP. But if you still have problems with it then a spellcaster class works just fine, only HOX have combos.

Well... actually... having spoken about AoC so much recently, actually got me to thinking about trying it again.  I've heard that they have fixed a lot of the problems (as you put it), and that's never bad press.  And I remember something about the formations being ditched - and you're right... that's probably what would have made the difference in and of itself.

I'll do some more research on the game, current, before deciding to come back or not...

Until they take out grey elite mob scaling, which basically makes all outleveled dungeons obsolete, I will never play this game again.

It's a shame, too, as I and my husband enjoyed it until they slipped that little gem into the game undocumented.

Yes.... WTF is the point of leveling up in this game if you can't even pwn much lower level monsters? Seriously.  This isn't FFXI, people. Gray mobs should not touch you... at all.

Everything they've done to PvE when its like this is to make it so gold farmers can't make money, or make it very hard to do so; however, that makes it hard for everyone else to. But, most gray mobs don't scale, only certain ones do. You can still farm Epic Field of the Dead easily, and most other areas that have BoE items.

Yeah, I know that not all gray mobs scale. I did play for about 3 months since pre-launch.  Looks like IGE doesn't have a supply issue, though, so such a tactic doesn't seem to be helping, huh? :3

I don't think that it has a purpose any longer.  But truthfully, that's just a minor concern for me.  PvP was rather boring. Ungodly powerful healing classes that couldn't be touched. You were either indestructable or a 1 or 2-hit.

The tragedy is that I'll never find another class in another game that can match the badassness and coolness of the Herald of Xotli.  I do miss that.

There are no gold farmers in AoC. IG money is useless and not worth grinding for.
