Definitely not. I want DF to succeed but to pre-order in light of the current chaos would be madness. I'll wait 'til I have hard evidence of it being a stable, playable and fun game
dude depends how much it costs. if its pretty cheap I probably will its worth the risk for the small chance of it being incredibly fun.
plus I will keep reading the ""information"" to see if the situation improves, but also depends if they do not drop the NDA before release its a sure sign the game is probably going to be a tird.

based on the overall impressions of the leaks, and the newest videos, i would have to give out a resounding no. Will keep my eye on it a month or 2 after launch.
I will never pre order any game again. Ever. I will wait until an mmorpg is out for 90 days before I order it. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

2. I dont give my credit card details on website where level of trust is equal with zero.
Ditto. Not only that, but all the new 'information' I've read reminds me of DnL's state of the game right when they where about to launch. Believe me when I say I want DF to work. I am MMO and VG-less right now and I'd love a good sandbox. There's no way I'm preordering or just ordering this game before trying it myself first-hand.
No, probably not. Unless I see a serious influx of information and review between now and the 25th from reliable sources. Which is about as likely as pigs flying.
Yes I will, I have friends in beta that are having fun even though its in debug mode.
I have read the beta leak threads and the game looks about where I would expect it (keep in mind that server crashes are probably dev made and combat lag is the debug mode, as I experienced in all betas like War, AC2).
Some things though that I believe will not be perfect and some things will not change - the animations for the chars will be the same and wont be fixed till prolly after launch, the sounds are kinda lame and need tweeking, probably at launch or right after. The world needs some more mobs or fluff NPCs, of course not like a themepark mmo, much less acctualy since its sandbox. Thing is all the features promised are in, thats the big thing.
Aventurine is a indie company with 30 devs and 11 milion euro budget, I am impressed to be honest so far but the game wont be perfect by a long shot, it cant hire the sound techs and motion captured animations that teams of 100 devs and 50 million budgets can buy.
But I have looked at the negative and positive leaks, have talked to personal friends that are testing and this is still the only game I am excited about.

Could you explain me why people sell all kind of animations in Second Life that are very good looking, for less than a dollar? Do you think they are big companies making those animations and spending milions of dolars? No, they are just people with talent making them, many are amateurs. I bet Aventurine could get a good walking animation for a few hundred dollars, if they don't have the talent.
Its too early for me to decide. Most of the leaks I've been reading show concern, but definitely hint that there is a lot of potential. If there isn't much progress in the next couple of weeks it will be a resounding no.

Ack, if Vanguard taught us one thing, its never use the word "potential".
All games have potential, its how its delivered that's important.

I would still most likely be willing to pre-order. The negative leak that went out made it more likely if anything. If you read the actual leak and continued thread with the rest of his and other leakers posts you will see that his main concerns were not really 100% valid.
In all honesty the one thing that made me think twice was of the numerous vids he released, true enough the enimations suck, but the graphics imho are just too good for what I was looking for, some of the starting areas look as though they are going to take quite a bit of cpu and that can only mean less acurate pvp.

While I was at a firm no on this subject awhile back, after being Lucky enough to gain a better insight than I had before I will be pre-ordering the game.

Yes. What I've seen from leaks so far the game is worth to be pre--ordered.
Definitely not. I want DF to succeed but to pre-order in light of the current chaos would be madness. I'll wait 'til I have hard evidence of it being a stable, playable and fun game

My blog:
Well.. my hart says YES!!! .. but my mind.... says " m... just scrutinize beta leaks, and then decide"... I really dont want another Vanguard case....
All in all with current MMO offer this game is kind of last hope for me for a long time...
Nope
Only leak I've really seen was incredibly negative so I won't be pre-ordering.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
not unless that NDA comes down and we start getting info from sources other than unreliable beta leaks.

2. I dont give my credit card details on website where level of trust is equal with zero.

Vanguard learned me this hard lession

Now why haven't they?
Beats me. They can't be so clueless. Or can they?
Yes, preorder.

If they lifted the NDA and some favorable independant reviews were written on the game then I might.
Right now its harder to get credible information about this game than it was to get news out of the USSR during the cold war
Its less than a month from the release date and there is still no info on pre-ordering. Un-fing-Organized
Sorry, but your "indie" game has secured 45 Million Euros (valued at at least 66 million USD, per the exchange rates at the time the bonds were procured) in bonds in the last year and a half. Add in your 11 million Euros and assume a conservatively averaged exchange rate a 1.5 Euros/USD and they've got over 80 million USD. That's hardly low budget ...

Not unless there is an open beta or trial.
I wont buy somethign before I try it.
Its like they are hiding something if they dont let you beta or trial it.
110 ish votes and 70% of people say they will not preorder.... on the surface of it ...
