Im stating the obious. how gullable people are and fall for all the hype and promises the devs give it. Brad Mcquaid had many people fooled with his Vision. im talking about the Actuall players who fell for this scam when the game came out.it was in a unplayable stat BACK THEN. Not the players who are enjoying it now. the game has indeed progressed but it did by the hands of SOE not by Mcquaids failed team. Microsoft was supposed to be the publisher. they saw the game in its state and dumped them. SOE saw a chance. they published the game investing little. then Bought the game at pennys on the dollar and made it into a profitable game.

Darkfall is a great game, people enjoy playing it and will be buying it, sorry if you arent in beta and that upsets you. Maybe you should get a puppy or something.

I have yet to encounter a game in which it is so.. obious it is going to fail.

No game is 100% perfect....but the game is more fun and satisfying that WAR and AoC months after their release.
The facts are simple to understand. This game is 7 days or so from being released and it still hasn't had a open beta so more than a few thousand can test/play. The NDA is still up, which means they are not ready for release.
I've never seen a game without an open beta and please don't say what is happening now is that. The game is still heavily in a closed beta stage and lord knows how Adventurine will clean up all this mess and be prepared for however many people that actually want in this game.
I truly believe that the devs have somewhat put themselves in a harsh catch 22 situation. If they delay again, they will lose what's left of the little credibility they have. On the other hand, all this pre oreder bull, and limited amount of players stuff is and will hurt them almost more.
When the Devs themselves think the game is ready (i.e. they drop the NDA) perhaps then it might be worth getting excited about the game again. Until then... it just isn't worth putting much more than 5-10 minutes into.
We heard all these same predictions and guarantees from the fans leading up to the middle and end of Dec. 2008. Then again leading up the 22nd of January. Now we're hearing them again.
We heard promises from Tasos both at the end of 2008 and leading up to the 22nd that they were on target to make their Release date. Then a few days later he said they needed to delay.
This date will probably be the same... so I'm not going to spend much time with the game until the NDA drops.
Until it does... even the Devs think it's not fit for public eyes.

No game is 100% perfect....but the game is more fun and satisfying that WAR and AoC months after their release.

NDA still up = Game not ready
NDA dropped = Game ready
