FACT: Never pre-order or buy an MMORPG on the day of the release, be patient and wait for ATLEAST a month so they can iron SOME of the problems THEY ALL EXPERIENCE ON LAUNCH!
That's not a fact it's a suggestion.
FACT: I am not a crook.
FACT: This is a pay-to-beta/pay-to-stress test. I agree they should have done an open-beta which should still be going on because clearly there's some huge issues causing people to get all hot and bothered.
FACT: Pie is delicious.
OK OK, hold on here......
Pie is not ALWAYS delicious! Boston Cream pie, yes, delicious. Apple pie? not really my cup of tea. Cherry pie, same thing, not my cup of tea. NOT DELICIOUS! Pecan pie, delicious.
Same holds true of mmo's, not all delicious. Problems aside, will DF be delicious. Dunno.
Well, now its not. But fact is that the release took place as reported it would by Tacos, though a day late:
MMORPG.com:
There had been some speculation that there are plans to push the launch date further back than the originally announced 25th date. Can you tell us if there is any truth to this?
Tasos:
Consistent with the usual speculation sources, there’s no truth to this.
another fact: blizzard had the same problem, but of course not that big because they had the money... but nonetheless, they had real trouble getting the servers up and running because they underrated the demand
(sorry for bad english, isn't my native language )
This is indeed also a fact (part anyway).
But is missing information. Blizzard did indeed have more money than AV, but not lots more. WoW is also the first mmorpg product that Blizzard had released. The money they had was from their free to play (buy on purchase) expansions of Diablo arpg, Starcraft, and the Warcraft strategy games.
Wich makes the situations almost identical, except Blizzard fixed it. Now lets just see if Aventurine will be able to fix it too.
Maybe it was just major overconfidence of them to try and launch a game of this scope. Perhaps they should have build funds with other games first, or get their funds trough other routes (wich I actually thought they did, but you said they have no money in your fact, so I will go by that).
blizzard had ALOT more money than av during the same process. even before wow blizzard (imo at least) was one of the most respected and loved developers in the world, and they still are. they made huge amounts of money off of diablo, starcraft and the warcraft franchises. now i agree that they were in the same position as av right now and yes blizzard did fix the problems they were having but it did not happen overnight. ill give av a few more days to a week to get it all sorted out, fix the sync and other big bugs, and let the rest of us buy and play. if they cant manage to do that in the next week or so then they lost my money

SHHHH! Darkfall having these problems means they will fail! Just like Blizzard failed!
This is an insane bending of the situation. WoW has hundreds of thousands of people trying to play and the servers got overloaded and it was 'kind of annoying'. Darkfall, the sites are down, the servers are down, no communication, some people are billed, some aren't, and no one has any idea what is going on. I'll keep saying it until you take some comprehension classes strongaxe, LEARN basic comprehension skills before you continue to communicate with normal society.

LOL good the office quote right there
I think I accidentally invented the concept of "FACT " threads myself in 2002. (I could be wrong, trough).

I have to laugh at most posts on this entire board.
Fact:Despite the bugs and issues with Darkfall the game is and can be very fun for those that play.
Fact: the game is not for everyone
Fact: most coments on any of these boards are pure speculation
Fact: AV does update the player base on the status(albeit maybe not up to some folks expectations)
Fact: unless you work at AV you have no idea what they are doing and what the real problem is
Fact: anytime u post anything on these forumns you will get haters that will try and argue their point no matter how far off base it is.
Fact: opinions and assumptions are for the most part the same.(they are like a certain aspect of the human anatomy, and they all stink without facts.)
Fact: patience is a virtue!
Fact: bad launches are frustrating!
Did I mention patience! lol
Have fun everyone and remember its only a game!
