Strongaxe is a funny guy. He is very persistent in trying to find ways to "defame" what I said, or lessen the impact.
The message I'm sending is a pretty simple one. Don't be a fanboy for a game you don't know anything about, don't push your views on others without having the full story, and keep your standards high instead of lowering them in order to be satisfied. There's a lesson to learn there for pretty much anything in life, just be realistic and fair to yourself.
He wants to go and criticize my posts, or say I didn't do anything *here* or whatever, it makes him look the sadder for it. I'm not here to argue the semantics of his posts, I'm just looking to make a point and the lesson I learned from following this game the the disappointment that ensued. I would like to spare others that annoyance and also encourage game developers (MMO or not) to be forced to a higher standard BY THE USERS.
I'm sorry Strongaxe you are so stuck on poorly salient points you are making over and over, but if it makes you feel better I think there are a handful of folks here who "LOLed" at your 'leet' posts, so if you want you can think about it while you go to the bathroom and rub one out. If you actually read any of my posts about the game I post the negative(animations, harvesting, macroing) and the positive(gameplay ect..). I have never said the game does not need work or all the features are in. Again the invitation for anyone to find me posting fanaticly about this game is out there.

After reading all the posts in this damn long thread, the conclusion is obvious. Hercules +1 StrongAxe 0 Nice work on the write up, told me more useful info about the game than a half a dozen of the others.
Very true. I was going to wait a few months to try this game out, but I think I'll give up on that idea. I'll see how it goes in 6 months to a year. Once you've been Flagshipped, you don't want to go that route again.

Many of the people who will play DarkFall, have no hopes in getting a game that resembles the best PvP game to date (Ultima Online).
Having Beta tested the game, its got problems, but the core things are there.
Most of the stuff that bothers you, doesn't bother me. I found it actually FUN to set up a good macro before school/work/dinner and have my character playing almost around the clock.
This allows players who cant devote 900 hours a week, to an MMORPG, a chance to keep up.
PvP staling.. Doubt it. Seiges and clan wars.. Come on.. There will be PLENTY of player run 1v1 2v2, ect ect, events run.
But NO GAME will have constant 1v1 and FAIR open world PvP. Even if I did, id probably more enjoy the risk of non-fair open world PvP.
And looting.. Come on.
I havent played launch yet, waiting a bit.. But for you to quit, on its launch.. Shows you dont have the MMORPG patience required to find an MMORPG that isnt a cookie cutter WoW.

Anytime anyone says anything negative about the game you try turn it around. Bad animations, macro, graphics ect. It's not really your fault, you like to debate about everything. You do however try force your opinion on other people. Same thing all the other fanboys do.
Wether anyone has played the game or not now knows that it needs work and it is not what it claimed. Trying to defend this atm is a waste of time. I can find f2p mmos with better gameplay atm. The only thing currently DF has on those games is full loot and possibly scenic backgrounds.
In fact I encourge you or anyone to find me blindly acting like a feature is a "gift from god". I would also encourage anyone to find a post of mine where I bash someones intelligent opinion without providing a valid argument.

If you actually read any of my posts about the game I post the negative(animations, harvesting, macroing) and the positive(gameplay ect..). I have never said the game does not need work or all the features are in. Again the invitation for anyone to find me posting fanaticly about this game is out there.
As to you comments on the gameplay....you have never played, and base your opinions off of a few youtube videos(and reviews like this? lol). Atleast you are admiting the graphics(game world) is good....about time.
Oh and you liked DF as much as me until AoC burnt you and turned you bitter. Its ok you will play it eventually.

Very true. I was going to wait a few months to try this game out, but I think I'll give up on that idea. I'll see how it goes in 6 months to a year. Once you've been Flagshipped, you don't want to go that route again.
OP i don't think that you are that big of a fanboy as you might think since i don't seem to remember you posting that much on these boards anyway.Besides there is nothing to apologise as far as i'm concerned, you made a choice back then and it didn't work out. Making mistakes is part of human nature and also is the ability to learn from them,i only hope you learned your lesson for the next time this situation occures and i'm sorry you had to learn that the hard way.

Sorry it wasn't the game for you.
Many of the people who will play DarkFall, have no hopes in getting a game that resembles the best PvP game to date (Ultima Online).
Having Beta tested the game, its got problems, but the core things are there.
Most of the stuff that bothers you, doesn't bother me. I found it actually FUN to set up a good macro before school/work/dinner and have my character playing almost around the clock.
This allows players who cant devote 900 hours a week, to an MMORPG, a chance to keep up.
PvP staling.. Doubt it. Seiges and clan wars.. Come on.. There will be PLENTY of player run 1v1 2v2, ect ect, events run.
But NO GAME will have constant 1v1 and FAIR open world PvP. Even if I did, id probably more enjoy the risk of non-fair open world PvP.
And looting.. Come on.
I havent played launch yet, waiting a bit.. But for you to quit, on its launch.. Shows you dont have the MMORPG patience required to find an MMORPG that isnt a cookie cutter WoW.
