first darkfall dragon kill
well-known WOW guild 'Serenity Now' (who has apparently ditched WOW for Darkfall) has slain the first named Darkfall dragon: forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php
great news IMO for the people interested in Darkfall PVE.
this, on top of the well-publicised 150v150 battles, DF is just going from strength to strength. they just need to prove they can now scale up the number of game servers.

EDIT: It actually looks like they didn't down the dragon and just lied about it. However, it's Serenity Now vs. Onlookers on the forums, check it out.

Yes as far as I know dragon dropped an epic sword (without jokes - I saw it in chat). Rank 90 2-hander with owning stats. But I doubt someone will ever dare to use it in PvP...
I would jump into this game the instant if this happened. Doesnt matter if im a hater or a troll, i WOULD BUY THIS GAME!!! trust me. lol
btw, no pics of the loot or the mob acutally dead (that SS shows 35% health). And it's not a server first regardless. GG SN.

this dragon was killed multiple times in beta. It is apparently a fairly easy dragon to kill.

The pve doesnt look as marketed. i dont see any brilliant ai comming from this mob.

Wow this game looks horrid, I just dont see the apeal here. Even Shadowbane's PVE blows this away!
the graphics on the dragon look nice, but it seemed total devoid of any ai.....and god, the over head chop of melee.....seriously....are there anythin else but side hits and over head hits? i would be bored to tears after a few minutes.

What you have to do to become it on the ground walking ? Dragons are flying mostly (well the red dragons at least)

This dragon is about as challenging as a baby with down syndrom would be.

There were no magic missiles in that, only those overhead chops with a complete still lower body. Would it really have been that hard to make them bend their knees?
I have seen lots of comments on that those animations will be very easy to fix. If that is so, then why are they not fixed already?
Also lots of comments about that graphics and animations don't matter, but then why go trough the trouble of creating a 3d game in the first place...
Yeah, animation is not all to games. But the animations don't have to be like this either. There is a middle way.

I'm sorry, I just don't understand your reasoning for calling that sweet. Left clicking on a big badly made random stereotypical dragon is sweet? Does it even have any lore or reasoning to be there, or is it simply enough to make a big dragon and drop it randomly across the lands of Darkfall and then watch as the PvP'ers get something to talk about when referring to the 'sweet' PvE aspect of Darkfall.

Not to insult or anything, but I have to say that looked pretty boring. It didn't seem like the AI was really doing anything special. Not to mention on parts of the video. You can clearly see the dragon hovering off the ground, but not because it was flying.

Too bad Serenity Now is full of shit. Plenty of other guilds have taken down dragons, some even on the first day the game went live.

and why Not, that defines the game as a sandbox. I big group could come and topple any pve creature. There are not lvls ect. you can get some decent gear from goblins and go on a dragon kill spree. This game is not lvl base so it is possible.
