You highlight the entire list, then you push the button labelled "Delete", then add: Are game starts off with a marvelous forum scavenger hunt, were you the customer get to sift through hundreds of threads to find out what features are actually in-game. Being a released game, wouldn't it be a reasonable expectation that a customer could become informed by reading the infromation available on the official website? From the OP, it seems the listing was not attempting to unveil super-secret changed features, but merely to list the contradictions found on the official site versus the actual product. All in all, a worth-while read for any potential customer who has not followed the development cycle of this game, but is interested in playing.

Lucas Arts had the PRE CU skin and content 2 years in the release of NGE untouched, $OE website is joke and i bookmarked forums so i could bypass the horrid site and land direct into the forums (have to visit that place 2 years now so dunno if this still true)..
WWIIOnline had the only site (from games i played) that was important as portal to guide you to the more important forums ..but my experience was Site was just there to click for gameclient once ..then forget and use forums ..
Theoretically you can run an entire MMORPG with just having forums only ..

No, Design decisions through the development process have putting some features off..those were announced through forum post announcements and rather not updated in the site section..thats all..some stuff is there from 2003 not changed..

You're one of the last absolute fanbois around but even this is pretty stupid to be argueing. When people usually hear about a game they go to the website to check out what it is about and stuff. This doesn't include the cult following fanboys that know about it already but new people and people that gave up following it and came back. Now the website still says beta and wrong info. It's misleading people basically in every way. Congratulations to you for knowing where to find the info, most people only know about the website. To expect people to post on forums or go to irc to find info on the state of the game even within 6 months to 1 year is ridiculous.
Keep in mind without lots of these new people that join the game it might not survive. Website = marketing and in turn revenue. Probabley one of the single most important aspects of a game that is not inside the game. Aragon100 was one of the biggest AOC trolls on their boards for several months. Yet, most of the venom he espouted for Funcom seems to have been surpassed by Aventurine in every possible way. Yet... You hear no cries of "foul!" from any of these fanbois. They wouldn't allow Funcom to even "slide" on the smallest issue for a single second.

Full Disclosure: I began following this game back when these forums were a full page of Vaporware threads and like 2 actual information posts. I fell in love with everything that the OP posted as expected features. The game has now "released" (this is debatable due to it not being widely available) Since Beta to this point in time though, I'v ebeen disgusted with my being promised a pizza with everything on it, but being given some uncooked dough that has fallen into a puddle of ketchup. Even more disgusted with the people that accuse you of being a carebear that doesn't like pizza. To which I could reply, that's not pizza, its dough and sauce which is like a failure of its intended form. To which they reply, F' you, its better than the McDonalds that you carebears love. To which I reply....

(The latter was a bit of a trap admittedly since in America there are literally laws against false advertising. If you have the right information elsewhere but the wrong information on the official site where you are able to purchase said product...you can be sued.)
2) Do you agree that what was promised was not delivered? Once again clarification: this was not a wishlist, but a statement of features said to be present.
3) What do you think usually, when you see this situation? A woman you know or care about or empathize with in some way, beaten regularly by her husband, who continues to go back to him and makes excuses for his behaviour, ie. "He loves me", "He said he'll change", "Things are rough for him right now", "He's just stressed"...etc etc.

If you not plyed i can answer these .. i know DF since 1,5 years and read anything on it .. i know much of the things that have been advertised ..sure i would like to see weather and that fluff in te game but thats not important for me..they delivered on whats important for me so i don't search the feature list to find details i am unhappy with and then start flaming forums about ..i am overly happy with what i got and with the progress these game show with every new build and update i am highly confident it will get better...
Is it ok if weather gets enabled ? sure some cool and funny addition..would i quit the game if not or start forum flames because of it ? NO not important for me ..

No, Design decisions through the development process have putting some features off..those were announced through forum post announcements and rather not updated in the site section..thats all..some stuff is there from 2003 not changed..
The game released feature complete in regards to what an INFORMED commuity member would expect (except 4 legs run mahirim and individual housing)

You're one of the last absolute fanbois around but even this is pretty stupid to be argueing. When people usually hear about a game they go to the website to check out what it is about and stuff. This doesn't include the cult following fanboys that know about it already but new people and people that gave up following it and came back. Now the website still says beta and wrong info. It's misleading people basically in every way. Congratulations to you for knowing where to find the info, most people only know about the website. To expect people to post on forums or go to irc to find info on the state of the game even within 6 months to 1 year is ridiculous.
Keep in mind without lots of these new people that join the game it might not survive. Website = marketing and in turn revenue. Probabley one of the single most important aspects of a game that is not inside the game. To not understand this you must either be an avid fanboy or a 12-14 year old with no sense of business management and marketing.

Aragon100 was one of the biggest AOC trolls on their boards for several months. Yet, most of the venom he espouted for Funcom seems to have been surpassed by Aventurine in every possible way. Yet... You hear no cries of "foul!" from any of these fanbois. They wouldn't allow Funcom to even "slide" on the smallest issue for a single second.

I have a geniune question for Darth. I have never posted. I've always been content to follow the game on my own and use the forums for amusement and to keep my finger on the pulse.
Full Disclosure: I began following this game back when these forums were a full page of Vaporware threads and like 2 actual information posts. I fell in love with everything that the OP posted as expected features. The game has now "released" (this is debatable due to it not being widely available) Since Beta to this point in time though, I'v ebeen disgusted with my being promised a pizza with everything on it, but being given some uncooked dough that has fallen into a puddle of ketchup. Even more disgusted with the people that accuse you of being a carebear that doesn't like pizza. To which I could reply, that's not pizza, its dough and sauce which is like a failure of its intended form. To which they reply, F' you, its better than the McDonalds that you carebears love. To which I reply....

But to Darth and any other DFO advocates (I didn't use "fanboi", don't call me "troll". We'll see how long that truce lasts btw.), I have a handful of serious and geniune questions:
1) Why would it be unreasonable to expect that a retail store (that's what they are when you boil it down) should have accurate information on their site? And isn't having that official site still displaying that information without notifying the average visitor that it's inaccurate fraudlent? (The latter was a bit of a trap admittedly since in America there are literally laws against false advertising. If you have the right information elsewhere but the wrong information on the official site where you are able to purchase said product...you can be sued.)
2) Do you agree that what was promised was not delivered? Once again clarification: this was not a wishlist, but a statement of features said to be present.
3) What do you think usually, when you see this situation? A woman you know or care about or empathize with in some way, beaten regularly by her husband, who continues to go back to him and makes excuses for his behaviour, ie. "He loves me", "He said he'll change", "Things are rough for him right now", "He's just stressed"...etc etc.
Please understand that I'm just trying to understand. I'm so baffled by Darth's responses to a factual accounting to the current state of the game and site, that I literally broke my silence on these forums after following this game from the early 2000s.

Do you played the game ? My answer on your questions would depend on your answer on these question..
If you not plyed i can answer these .. i know DF since 1,5 years and read anything on it .. i know much of the things that have been advertised ..sure i would like to see weather and that fluff in te game but thats not important for me..they delivered on whats important for me so i don't search the feature list to find details i am unhappy with and then start flaming forums about ..i am overly happy with what i got and with the progress these game show with every new build and update i am highly confident it will get better...
Is it ok if weather gets enabled ? sure some cool and funny addition..would i quit the game if not or start forum flames because of it ? NO not important for me ..
Some other things i fully understand why they out..would i like traps/snares in game ? hell NO ..good they cut out !
would i like some fluffy animals wondering around ..hey cool stuff ..important ..NO..would i want the team to spend time on it ? NO only if anything else that has higher priority is resolved ..and pretty much anything else has higher priority... In any case i don't care about the website ...
