Hey again Slamen, ty for answering thos questions, the graphic looks ok and u told me how big the map was so maybe i will buy the game then. Hope ill se u later then!
But i will try the trial on the website u got the link for there.
BTW, yesterday Bundyrum (617 Dambusters) organized a large bombing raid on all 3 german factory cities. I missed it, but here are some pics taken from others.
Damn that new french rifle is horrible. I hope they fix the coloring on it and the k98 soon. Didnt realize how bad the new model was until I saw that SS.
well i think the game looks cool...but I find that the graphics kinda suck, if you compare it too other MMO's, now if they would just do a nice graphical makeover I would be even more interested in this game.
Once you get playing you don't even notice the graphics being older. The imersion level is so great that you don't have time to smell the roses you just use them for cover. Try and care about how the bush your hiding in looks when that Tiger starts rolling you way.
They have to keep the poly count low because of their commitment to older machines. The graphics could be much better but because of the massive nature of this game it would bring many middle of the road machines to their knees. So the trade off is not quite up to snuff graphics but more people able to play and better imersion. That means more fun for me.
well i'd rather had that the bush looked fine so that the passing tiger wouldn't accedently see me because of some misplaced polygones and blow me to kingdom come .
Realism events in WWIIOnline are played once per month. The aim of the event is to get players to take part in a structured event, with primary and secondary objectives. Having only one life puts ‘fear of death’ into the players mind, and therefore they tend to play together as a more focused coherent team.
Each side has a side leader who assigns his troops to specific squads, and each squad will have a mission to accomplish. For example, the demolitions team may be assigned to destroy a certain building, while the assault team gives them cover fire. These events tend to take a long time to complete as players will be more cautious and anyone who thinks he is ‘John Rambo’ will soon realise that he is not. You die, and you are out. The servers will be locked, ensuring that anyone who has died will not be able to respawn.
Really.
Why would you want to destroy a building? What purpose does that serve?
ww2 is not hard ....all you have to do is keep mouth shut..........never complain .........and be prepared to ....well....have your KY-jelly handy ...helps to ease the pain .
Speeking of the new 1.27 patch, the developers opened up a beta test this weekend.
Well I downloaded the beta and tried the new mortar infantry class.
WOW and Cool.
All 3 armies get a new infantry class, the "light mortar infantry". I think these are 50mm mortars. Well they have a range of 500m. Smoke rounds and HE rounds are the only two choices. Since the mortar round is a server tracked object, you can setup a spotter to call in indirect fire from these mortars. Couple this with the new feature of being able to resupply ammo from a truck, teams of infantry can setup an unmaned mobile spawn point (resupply point too), move mortarmen out to an area, have a spotter call for the fire and redirect using text chat and have one rifleman run back n forth from the truck to mortar position resupplying them with ammo.
Now if that's not team work, then I don't know what is. In the beta version, I have not seen this yet but when this baby goes live I bet it wont take long for squads to intergrate attacks on towns with a mortar barrage (and a really big one).
One quick benifit I've seen from mortars is the ability to lay a smoke screen from ways off. In the beta earlier today, the group of players were fighting over one area where 2 cities are really close together with a river seperating them. A tiger tank had a good advantage spot overlooking the allied held down and was on a killing spree. Well a few of us took mortars and layed a heavy smoke screen all over that hill where the tiger tank sat. That allowed someone back at base to move out a heavy anti tank gun, set it up, then when the smoked cleared, BAM no more tiger.
I some how think these mortars are going to have a strong change to the game.

Well X-mas patch was released a few weeks ago and about 4 other point patches to fix the xmas patch.
Things seems to be working fine now in game. BTW, persistant corpses, bouncing gernades and 3 new big anti-tank guns were added.
Here are a few shots of the dead bodies lying around.
I don't have any pics of the latest ATGs. If anyone has them, post them here please

v1.26 beta is being run and will probably hit the live servers next week.
The developers decided to leave the corpses longer on the ground and
seems like now the "war" atmosphere is starting to take shape.
They also got rid of the perminant gray weather and brough back the blue skies.
This makes the hanger community very happy.
O and FPS's are being reported up for most people and some people have said
that it's doubled. YMMV.
Mortars are next on the development list.
