Didn't read the whole thing cause as usual with DF threads around here, it's full of fail. Anyway, I would recommend this game to anyone who love pvp. We need all those immature ganknuts gathering in one place and out of our 'carebear omg go back to wow' games. PVP seems to attract the immature pricks in the world nomatter what mmo you play and it's nice to see a game target that niche. I just hope they stay there so my gaming time can be a little more enjoyable in the other mmo's I play. There are mature people like Paragus in DF(allthough I only have his word on that so I take that with a good pinch of salt), but they are in the extreme minority and have always been when it comes to hardcore pvp games.

Face it... DF was dumbed down to appeal to PVP not hardcore types. This is only one lie amongst many with this game. For reference this was posted (and dissapeared) from the DF forums a few weeks ago. it is a quote from the website about trade and a fans response.

-You send a message to your race, or race alliance stating you have something via chat. They send a PM, you meet up, and trade-window it. That's the whole trade system.
OP just can't admit his suckage w/o blaming others. My experience with DF says there are no more l33t idiots in the game than in WoW. I'd say even less because it takes much more responsibility and maturity to survivle in games like DF than in any other games. DF is all about cooperation but suckers can't cooperate. So I only can say that OP got some real personal problems. Your wife and children means nothing btw. I've met pretty many people in DF who have wives and children and doing just great... I myself is a pvp-geak, and my friend is too. And we both are 40+ old...

Exactly what I thought too when I read that post. 40 years old? Physically, maybe.
And when a 40 year old talks about responsibilities and maturity to survive in a video game, he obviously has some serious issues and needs an urgent reality check about what is really important in life.
It's also funny that he seems to think DFO is the ultimate best thing for teamplay and cooperation... it takes way more synchronisation and teamplay to do any dungeon in WoW or Vanguard where characters have more than 3 skills than to mash the left mouse button to gank people in DFO.
