The company that owns Blizzard now is selling them because they havent brought in enough money. Every parent company is in it for the money. And as for Blizzard breaking up, in effect they have. The main boss and alot of designers left when they heard about being sold by Vivendi, well before SOE ever even came into the equation. THey are even now debating forming a new company. So, the Blizzard you think you know is not the one that exists today.

In any case, a good forum argument is a good way to blow off steam in this regard.. no doubt there will be a lot of them in the future.

The SWG launch had to have been the worst ever with failures in every aspect.
Server stability
Lack of content
and biggest of all...customer support. Their support teams were not even ready as they couldnt even communicate with themselves. How did they expect to communicate with the public? Their online support team had no idea of anything going on when the servers were down, crashed, or just having issues. Their repeated response was, "we dont know and are trying to find out..." or "all servers are up" in their banner messages, yet all servers down for the past 4 hours.
Let us hope this launch they learn from such mistakes.
Launch day I expect them to have some stability issues but not the content issue. Login servers will be overloaded so dont worry about paying for that overnight shipping on your orders...it wont matter...you wont be getting in.
