If this does turn out to be the rapture based mmo I think they will have a winner. I also can't see it being just ps3 and not pc in that case.

Glad to see they're going with a cool art-style. I always liked FFXI's mix of anime and realism.

Maybe a stupid move for the west but in the asian culture the ps3 is freaking huge and JRPG's are 10x bigger there than over here.  Maybe they will release it on PC maybe they wont but as of right now there has been no annoucement of it being on any other platform besides the PS3.

I played FF XI and thought it needed to be less group play dependent and it was more of a grind than I like.  Hopefully they'll get it right this time and make the online game more fun and less grind.

Sanders01 was referring to FFXIII and Metal Gear being made for Xbox 360 now. FFXIII is not on the PC, only Xbox 360, PS3, and PSP. FFXI is available on PC and is an mmo, which is why I don't believe FFXIII will be console only for long.

Sony bought themselves an exclusive launch ( same as they did with FFXI when it first came out ), probably hoping for FF fanatics to run out and buy an overpriced PS3 to play. The smart people will wait 6 months when it's made available to Xbox 360 and PC.

Wrong on MGS. MGS Rising was announced by Hideo yesterday for the 360, however, no mention of the word "exclusive". Probably be on both consoles, but no confirmation that I've seen. The only thing I've seen today was MGS: Peace Walker for the PSP/PSP Go!. Looks damn pretty tho :)

C'mon guys lets not sound like gullible idiots ok? He pretends the xbox doesn't exist and will say anything he needs to to sell ps3's. Just because he says exclusive doesn't mean it actually is, it is their favorite word and they use it for everything. Sometimes they buy a few months to make games timed exclusives without actually saying timed so just take it easy with analyzing everything the oil salesman says ok?

Final Fantasy XIII is going to be console forever, sorry. There is absolutely no reason to believe FFXIII will ever go to the PC. Just because Final Fantasy XI was released on the PC. Final Fantasy X - 2 was not released on the PC, neither was Final Fantasy XII. Why would Final Fantasy XIII be any different? It's not like there is an audience on the PC waiting for it.

also the Playstation 3 is hardly overpriced, you'll get a lot more value for your money then with an Xbox360. Xbox360 requires you to pay for online play, so if you play online on your 360, you're paying much more money no matter how you look at it.

You're right. I was living in Japan at the time it came out, so it was PS2 for me.

Hes talking about last e3's MGS announcement being "ps3 exclusive" and ending up being anything but exclusive

there in lies the sticking point...the PS3 has such a lack of JRPGS for NA/EU audiences it's not even funny...I'm not sure about their "home" market..but they've completely abandoned the genre outside of Japan. It's sad really because I only really bought the PS2 for that type of game so until they pick up steam I don't see me buying a PS3 anytime soon.

Another FF MMO? I can promise it'll be pretty but it's overall collectivist mentality will kill it for most NA/EU gamers unless they tune it towards us.

Are you kidding me? You don't have any idea what you're saying do you? most of those games you just said are being released on the PC.

Am I the only one that thinks the numbering of this series is retarded? I mean the sequal to FF11 is FF14! That doesn't make sense.

They should have called FF11 "Final Fantasy Online" and then they could have called this game "Final Fantasy Online 2" in my opinion.

Edit note: accidentally said XIII was on pc, still drooling over the trailer, changed it to read XI :)

Damn, quick posters, lol, I realized my mistake 13 minutes ago and changed it. Easy killers, typos happen :/

Yea, I mean that FFXIV will end up being multi-platform, atleast on the PC, and most likely on the 360 also.

Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/

That was a typo, I meant XIV, not XIII PC wise.

And the PS3 is overpriced. What's the last price drop they had on on the 3YEAR OLD console?

Compared to Xbox 360 ( I won't compare to the Wii because that's really a whole different animal ).

And are you saying you have to have a LIVE sub to play FFXI on 360? Far as I know, LIVE is only for playing little multiplayer matches in mainly singleplayer games.

The two games are in no way related besides the fact that they are Final Fantasy MMOs, it is not a sequel to Vanadiel.

Try not to use multi-platform to describe it being on the PC, it is not a platform when you're talking about consoles it's outside that bubble

That and the price is why i went with Xbox 360 instead of PS3. when I found out FFXIII wasn't going to be exclusive to PS3 plus seen the stack of JRPGs available for Xbox 360, that's when I hung up my Playstation fanboi hat.
