I think the easiest way to alleviate the necessity for such a forum is to have an i.q./aptitude test that you must pass before you can post.
Ahem anyway. I think there are both good and bad points for this Flame Forum. You see it is basically like a prison. You put together the people that talk crap and do bad stuff and they just learn how to do that better.
However it is also true that "Flamerz"/Spammers/Trolls etc do clog up the main forums and just generally get in the way.
So what is the solution? And was this the original goal of the Admins?... Admins? What did you wish to achieve in suggesting such a forum? Was it to round up and seperate trolls and the like? Or more to bring out the more interesting side that a heated discussion can sometimes do?

Theres plenty of boards to go flame on. I find nothing more annoying than fanbois flaming others who choose to play a game they dont like. Look at the battle of the EQ2 vs WoW fanbois.. Both games suck but they still gotta fight about which is better. Meanwhile i gotta spend hours sifting through the rubbish just to find 1 bit of accurate information. For the love of god just say NO!~
I think it's useless, but even if it wasn't, how do you wnat to force people to put their flame threads there? If there's anyone interested in starting flame war, it's useless for him to put it on the section where nobody goes (besides other flame war starters). Or are there more people like that??
My personal opinion is that you don't need to use curse words etc in an argument to get your point across. People can act like civilized human beings when discussing something, but then again a forum for venting flames for those who need to may be ok, as long as it doesn't leak into other sections.
Copeland I agree with you, I hate flame wars and the like when being on sites, its childish and pointless.
Well I originally said yes, but that was when the EQ2 vs. WoW argument was at it's peak. Now that things have settles down and most people are happy playing their current game, I don't think a "flame" board is needed anymore.

Whatever you call it, I think you should put up a warning:
"Do not post here if your enjoyment of a game falls apart the moment someone criticizes it. You might not be able to deal with what you read."
Please no flameboards on MMORPG.COM!
