if you make a chart of almost every other mmo out there you wud get roughly the same thing.
Not by a long shot, the XP goes from
lvl 30 -6k xp-
lvl 44 -70k xp-
That's over 10 times as much xp in 14 levels.
al i say is that most experience in mmos come from killing stuff and not quests.
if you need to kill lets say 20 wolfs which give for example 600 exp means 12k exp and the quest itself give 6k exp, to me thats 18 exp from that quest and not 6k
Well ive seen "this is what ive heard" posted here, guess i will take that for what its worth. Ive seen "game needs to be westernized" , now thats a novel approach to make something new and different that eveyone clamors for. Ive seen " if the wierd Korean art doesnt scare everyone of", again, goodness yes, dont do anything different than what we men of the west are used to
Ive given up believeing wha I hear years ago, let alone what someone else tells me they have heard. Im not sure what westernized means unless its the written text which is more coherent than some western games ive played, Is there an Asian influence in the art work and game play? Well yeah, its made by Asian game devs.......at least that is what i hear. Oh and the graph? Has that been westernized so we can understand it or is it Asian?
Sorry for the sarcasm folks but with all the shit flying around i thought i would throw a turd of my own.

No one uses facts, they all use heresay.
In FFXI level 65 WAS the half way point for EXP. As in after you got to 65 you were HALF WAY to 75 in terms of experiance gained.
So yeah, Aion is WAY less grindy than FFXI.
Why doesn't anyone cite examples even as weak as mine?
If you read the original thread that came from you would see that the person that made that chart said that the chart is strictly quest XP. It does not include XP made by killing mobs for quests, it does not include crafting / gathering XP, and it does not include XP generated from PvP.
In my experience (up to level 20) I have made more than enough XP to level ... and I still have quests to complete from the previous levels.
Uh...People are cancelling pre-orders? You can't cancel your pre order with that game in most places you purchase it, because of the access codes they mail you.
Aaaaaand there really is no evidence to support that because there are next to no negative reviews of the game by testers on the beta forums so really it would appear to be the opposite.
Now, when it comes to that XP chart it has already been around for a long time, it has many many many inaccuracies like the poster before me said, it does not include *any* of those factors. And with the 1.5 patch they are filling in any leveling/xp curve issues with a ton more quests and xp.
This reminds of why beta's should remain beta's, and not constant open beta's. It's come to the point of where people buy a fileplanet subscription or hawk around MMO sites waiting for a beta key and just abuse the beta as a "Take a look before you buy" tool, and using up all the keys that should be giving instead to those who are actually willing to provide constant bug reports and actually ATTEMPT to "Beta test" the game. I'm glad I don't have to deal like punks like the OP in alpha tests, I would go insane.
The fact is that beta events are now free ads and most consumers will not buy a mmo they have not tested. The problem was created by the gaming industry and their lack of good judgment in creating a true mmo. Maybe you don’t know what betas are for? By the time a game enters a closed beta most of the game play and content should be working and only need to be polished and debugged.
As for this game, if it does not offer a decent challenge I don’t see how I could justify buying it. I doubt I will even download the client in open beta.
But then again I will read the forums to see if any changes have been made. You also have to consider what a shady and corrupt company NCsoft has become. I think L2 scared has taught me that NCsoft supports and encourages farmers and macros.
In the end open beta will either discredit the naysayers or confirm their views.
Is that Chart from China or Korea ?!? Patch 1.2 added a huge load of quests from 30-50 and all the other quests got their EXP doubled some even quadrupled.
Plus the fact that PvP , gathering and crafting give EXP.
Most of those " leaving at level 30 " are C-Aion players and C-AIon is still at v 1.0.
My fishy detector tells me something fishy about this thread. The only useful thing mentioned is that the "Craebear" would make a interesting looking monster, being half crayfish and half bear. o-O
I think its going to do fairy well from what ive played so far , now it really isnt anything new but its good 1-10 fairly boring and confined but its picks up then for me anyway , I called aoc, war , vanguard all those other flops , Im going say right now and you can hold me to it i dont think this game is going to flop , but i dont see it rekindling burnt out mmo'ers.
Doesnt remind me of wow more of L2 but without the retards trying to get me to hit them.
There is a HUGE flaw with that chart. If you read the original thread that came from you would see that the person that made that chart said that the chart is strictly quest XP. lol its easy to understand take wow when it was bran new
say it took you 3 month to be lvl 60 then take any asian made game it will take 3 time 3 month
to be at lvl 60
most asian game are slow leveler compared to say wow when it got out
probably one reason broswer game like free rea;m is all the rage now so mutch smaller game and grind isnt
really grind compared to most game coming out of asia
As many people stated the game is already a success in Asia so Its definitely not a fail.
It wont kill WoW (WoW is killing itself).
It wont be innovative.
Will I play it? Sure.
Will I like it? Dunno.
But after the announcement that the game will release with 1.5 (basically with all the patches that the devs have released during the 8 months the game is live in Korea), with many bugs fixes, systems implementations, class balances, more quests (less grind), more content (pve & pvp) and lots and lots of polish I dont doubt that AION will find its place in the Western market.
And anyway, the majority of people are happy from what I read. i dont see the amount of gloom n doom that for instance WAR spawned. And imagine that people were playing the first 20 levels a couple of times already (and as they say the first 10 lvl are boring but after that they have a blast). Not even been in Abyss and experience real PvP.
And dont forget that WoW wast that Innovative. ( /equip fireproof vest)
It took old formulas and gameplay elements from other games, like EverQuest for instance, and made them better or more appealing.
Thats my point of view! I dont know If Itll hook me but Im sure it'll be a good and solid game.
And no im not in beta.Im currently playing EVE and cursing my self for playing WoW all those years :P
ps. Im really sleepy so forgive my grammatical mistakes.

your right
we re lucky they will have polished the game a lot before bringing it to america
Never played Wow (didnt bother with its graphisms) , so even if aion is not innovative , i got no problem with it . For someone coming from lineage2 and eve , it s a new gameplay in a very well made game .
Aion will definately be my last choice but if all else fails, I might pick it up. I guess it'll be fun for the first month atleast. The more I hear about it, the more I don't like it. We'll see.

l2 was popular a very long time
if you liked l2 you ll probably love aion
the issue i believe is more this i could be wrong tho
on one side me i love the cartoon realism like in say bugsbunny etc
on the other side you got other that hate cartoon or manga they want their game as realistic looking as possible
Because it's failing in Asia maybe. Most players bail after level 30 because that's when quests stop and the xp is grind grind grind.
That's what I hear.
must be hard to hear with your head so far up your ass. if you have absolutely no idea about something but decide to troll anyway.. do us a favor.. don't bother, we know better.
the game will not "fail" and the "carebear" things they're adding will only help the game. these "carebear" features they've been adding only affect the low life that do nothing but grieve lower players because they have 0 skill against some one their own lvl
The game is huge in Asia and its going to do very well here as well. For every hate filled "troll job" i see, i see 3-4 positive replies. WOW fanbois are truly a different breed, all i see is WOW has 11 million players (which i do not believe) i never see how WOW has been making the game better and the reason is that WOW has done nothing to improve the game, only nerfed the content to attrack the Wii crowd . I find Aion very refreshing after what has been released in the last few years. The beauty of the game is evident in the screenshots to even those who do not play in beta. I preorderd and after two days in beta im not in the least bit sorry i did. WOW took what EQ did and made improvments on it. Aion has done the same, taken what went before and took it to the next level.

Oh look Lotro got better and more players... oh same goes for AOC slow but steady!!
if you want a pvp game wait for Mortal Online! oh you dont like sandbox pvp? then go back to wow!!!!
Aion is going to rock da house, i know it, you know it, everybody knows it don't like it? go play something else!

The OP must hang out on the WoW fanboi site called MMOSITE.com
Aion is sucessfull so far , unless NCSOFT gets accused of mass kitty murdering . It is unlikely that it will fail .

You didn't disprove him, you didn't compare it to another game, you just said.
NO YOUR WRONG!!!
This doens't prove your point, this just makes you seem like you are trying way too hard to prove your point.
Post another chart on another game. Compare, Contrast.
Have FACTS <---
Also where is your chart showing how the mob exp changes per level too.
There are so many varriables you are ignoring.
