Mechwarrior

My answer: If I was to be on some random gaming news site and see a little article oh say about 100 words in length stating that there is a Legacy of Kain MMORPG I would just fall onto the ground foaming at the mouth screaming bloody murder then go grab my soul reaver and blood omen play station discs and rub them on my body. But the MMORPG would have to be in the past before Raziel was thrown into the lake of the damned and became the soulreaver. When the vampire clan's owned nosgoth and just did as they pleased.
A vampire vs demons/aliens vs human vs elder gods MMORPG where you get to select your vampire clan and serve kain. So basically a better version of Age of Conan? Not much to top there imo. Anyways... Answerz me! Oh oh wait we can call it Age of Kain.

I still would like to have UO 2.
At the time they cancelled it i could not believe it.
I still want a game like this (skill based no levels, skilll tree with hundreds of skills ...)
Your words are beautiful.
FFXIV was mine, and I had a similar reaction when I saw the trailer at E3. It's sad because most of my top rated ones have been or are being made... by Funcom. A Conan MMO based on Howard's work, or a Cthulu/Secret World MMO based on Lovecraft would normally both cause mass nerdgasming, but AoC fell far short of what it could have been, and now I have to place my hopes in Funcom's hands again.
For one that hasn't been made or isn't in the works I would say a Shadowrun sandbox MMO would cause me to freak out and break things in joy. A close second would be a sandbox MMO based on the World of Darkness and developed by some really competent sandbox devs with a really successful and solid MMO game under their belts...
A Shadowrun MMORPG. An MMORPG based on the Underworld universe would be cool to me, as well.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
Asheron's Call 2, the way it should have been made.
Rifts RPG, Cyberpunk/Shadowrun, a proper DnD 2nd edition era - Greyhawk,Forgotten Realms....
Yeah any of those would
You should keep an eye on World of Darkness from CCP. Shadowrun MMO announcement would make me lose it. I'd run around my office tackling people in joy before ripping off my shirt and leaping through a window to start running home and hitting F5 on the games website until it released.
I second (or third, as it may seem) this Shadowrun MMORPG idea. Dwarven Adept FTW! Oh gods, the hams I will string...
One word......GREYHAWK
Just a note on Shadowrun. Some indie devs in Austin, TX were working on Shadowrun Online, but back in 2007 were forced to shutdown the production, and hand over their website to Microsoft who owns the Shadowrun license (remember that sorry excuse for a Shadowrun game they put out a while back.). So unless Microsoft decides to dabble in MMORPG's, and just happens to not choose an IP like Halo then there may be a tiny almost non existant chance that we will see a Shadowrun MMORPG. They would probably just try to clone WoW anyway...
Those same indie devs though are working on a cyberpunk MMO based more on Gibson's books, but there site has hardly any updates, and they don't have a publisher or anything. Maybe they can pull it off. Their influences are Shadowrun, Gibson, Stephenson, Deus Ex, etc.
Oh, where to even start! If you mean an existing I.P. then I would like to see a Shadowrun MMO, I doubt it would be done correctly however. I feel pretty sure that in the current climate of MMOs they would try to make a MMO FPS/RPG hybrid theme park affair. Fallout is another that springs to mind. Not everyone did, but I quite enjoyed and was suprised at the quality of Fallout 3. An MMO made along those lines would get my money in a flat second.
I'm sorry, but I DO NOT nerdgasm. Damn you...now I'm getting a visual...
Forgettenrelams would be great.
Wheel of time would be great.
A player skill, skill based sandbox game.
any game that makes PLAYER CHOICE the most important feature.
Sooner or Later
One based on the AOE series.
(I know "go play Vangaurd" but what i mean is like...where some people have to farm, some people craft, others fight, drive boats. and when you join you can pick 1 of 4 factions. And actually attack/take over towns and castles. pushing them into the highlands... Living far in the mountains there could be a small comunity of "mountain people")
I actually started designing a game like this (when I say design I mean writing scripts and drawing concept art, and how I wanted the game to play out.) lol its like at 200 pages right now >.<

EVE on a pve server only with worm holes to pvp and vise versa.
Vanguard the Saga Continues expansion with 30days game play for new players and 60 days for returning veterans.
World of StarCraft
MAGA
None.
THE DREAM IS OVER!
Planet of the Apes. Done well you could always be on the run from Apes.
Mine would be a re-release of pre CU SWG with dx10 graphics like in AoC and a balanced skill tree system, they would also have added PvE content that was balanced and fun to go along with PvP. Included would be several pvp planets and a galactic warfare system that rewarded each faction for pvp prowess and control of those pvp planets along with a released 'smuggler' faction. Oh god...oh yeah.....click my mouse button harder....OHHHH YEAHHHH /spooge
Tricky one, there are a lot of good IPs out there and many of them have been sullied somewhat by mediocre games.
If I was to throw one out there, it would probably be the Mass Effect universe; it's like Star Wars but without the telekinetic glowbat-wielding spacemonks and more emphasis on technology/weaponry.
Playing: EVE, Final Fantasy 13, Uncharted 2, Need for Speed: Shift
The Wheel of Time. At least, that's what i thought should have provoked such a response however, seeing as there apparently is a WoT mmo slated for development with EA distrobution, i found my lack of response disturbing. Perhaps my expectation is such that i now envision every mmo to be complete and utter failures, that i cannot get excited over the prospect of any mmo.
An MMO based on the Total Recall world and story would be awesome i think hehe
trepo
FUCK YES!!!
But other than that....
Anarchy Online 2 (in which the shadowlands were utterly obliterated by some psychotic NT with a multi-megaton nuke)
A Cyberpunk (R. Talsorian style) based game...rated either M or even AO, for drugs, nudity, and gratuitous dismemberment...
An updated and improved Pre-NGE SWG, where NO ONE could EVER unlock jedi, and SOE wasn't allowed to TOUCH it.
An Old Republic SW game done by Bioware ALONE, with a skill-based system, space combat (JTL style with guild-owned cap ships), and a wide-open sandbox galaxy to play in.
Neocron 3, made by a COMPETANT developer.
...really, I'm not asking much...
A MMO with the idea of Planetside FPS combat in the Anarchy Online class universe with both perks and the skill system in place. I'd also go even more crazy if this MMOFPS/RPG allowed space based FPS combat as well, much based on the game Freelancer. Thus allowing capturable objectives both on the ground with both ground and aerial vehicles but instead of using Planetside's "Sanctuary" based deployment, factions use Space Carriers much like from the Wing Commander universe, and troops/vehicles are deployed from carriers via Dropship aircraft, but also allowing space based battles with fighters and such that can fight both in space and on the planets atmosphere. Whether we have the technology to support this type of massive game yet, I highly doubt, but that's my dream game.

i give you your Nerdgasm
Do they still have the license? Because I heard that they were planning a MMO but when the dudes that actually owns the game now saw their FPS they canned it.
Hopefully they sell the license to someone else but it is just a rumor. Love SR myself, but hated the crappy MS game. Sad becuase they made another FASA game rather good: Crimson skies. Crimson skies would actually also make a great MMO.
But I would love to see an online based game of Neverwinter nights.. By Bioware and not Cryptic.
Shadowrun Online.
Get a life you freaking Gamer.....no no, you don't understand, I'm a Gamer, I have many lives!!
