for me, it'd have to be

    Ragnarok Online

it was the 1st generation of it;s kind, and probably the beginning of everything there are now

why? i'd have to say the Community, you will never see the same community of now day's MMO compared to Ragnarok back in 2004-07

everything was inch perfect, from level 1 to level 99, all of the users really make the community to the fullest, a very solid game at it's days

the game was fresh at that time, with no mentions of "mimic"-ing other MMOs

    then my 2nd would be

    FFXI

another great community based MMO, but too bad the game didnt lasted long enough for most of the players due to WoW's popularity at that time, but yeah, these 2 MMO would be my choice of my fave of all time

would have mentioned WoW if it wasn't for the super annoying community of Chuck Norris barrens chat and the wtf Spammers on trade, basically one of the worst MMO community ive ever played

    * hey no offense on WoW players =) , but if you are a WoW player that played since Vanilla, you will understand what im saying

    So What Now?

I'm gonna go with Tabula Rasa, awesome MMO, great combat, decent story, and nice community.

    Definitely Asheron's Call

I never ran out of things to do in that game. It was nothing short of amazing back in the day.

I played Fiesta Online by Outspark and now I'm checking out Ether Saga by Perfect World.  Really awesome game.  As a Fiesta player, it was really cool to experience the community change and the gameplay change a bit over time since I've been a member since it first launched.  Ether Saga's a completely new gaming experience and loving it so far.

I have fond memories of a very old game called Dark Sun Online. Not my favorite MMO but probably the first one I ever played.

WoW because I played it the most and had the most fun moments.

Guild Wars, hands down. I have like, 9 level 20s with everything I can possibly need on each... So I don't really play it anymore, but despite that, amazing game...
