Yup, knowing that two to three people who use one character to level it up..I would say its not a grind to..But what the hell, some one has to become urber..

All games have a grind sure, it's whether you find that grind fun or not is what counts. Someone that finds the WoW grind boring may find the Aion grind fun and vice versa for example. It's all subjective.

Wow, even when you show someone the light, they can still have the ignorance to call it a bowl of soup. Doesn't make sense to me. Seeing as how there are max lvl people already in this game, it shouldn't make sense to anyone else who says there is to much grind.
Grind doesn't mean it will take longer to level to max lvl, it just means that you will have to do the same task over and over to level. You see when you don't have enough quest within your level range and you have to go out just killing mobs to get xp, that is a grind. It as nothing to do with the fact that some people did it within few weeks. WAR was the same at launch, they didn't have enough quest to lvl and after couple weeks, there was already some lvl 40.

You are right, the point is to enjoy and have fun, this is what I am looking for in a MMO and Aion didn't delivered that to me. Imagine are these people feel if they are crying about the grind before lvl 20, they know that it could be worst after lvl 20. To answer your question, The time it takes you to get to max lvl as nothing to do with the grind, that's today's problem with MMO, people what games they can be lvl cap by the end of the month and after complain that there is no end game. Yes I do play an MMO at the moment but not Aion.
I remember back in the day, when playing MMO was about the world, community, grouping with friend to discover a new world. The when no one was looking at the xp bar, we just didn't care about it, we were having fun.

A game is what you amke of it I guess. Ive played plrobably a few hours everyday since pre-launch. Im only lvl 28 but Ive explored, found areas for future questing and so forth. Ive gone into some areas and u see no one else around. Ppl are skipping content thats there in the hurry to lvl.
I played almost every mmo since EQ, I played that from launch till Luclin and was only lvl 54, now that was a grind. FFXI there is nothing to do other than grind 95% of the time.
PPl just need to relax, enjoy the game, who realy cares some ppl are 50 already, they missed all the lore, stories and interisting stuff that is to be had.
I can't imagine the kind of blind stubbornness it would take for a human to kill all those mobs over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over .. wow, it amazes me what people will actually pay for.

I'm not playing on western server. My friend told me it took him 130 playing hours to get from 40-50. With little use of rested exp.
But of course everyone varies. Depend on playing style.

Bot's will be max level within a week or 2 to begin with,sooner rather than later they will have this to a week,that is why they do not care when there account's are banned..they have made there cash on that account,regardless of the game,they bot around it.

I kind of disagree. A typical asian grinder would take longer for max level.
But for a western game 18 days is actually a long time for max level. If you compare to other western games, they hit max level much faster.
Its 18 days but likely not 18 days played.
So let's say the person went hardcore, and played... 14 hours a day. Didn't have a life, didn't need to work, probably had a few people play the account to level it faster... That works out to about 10 days played total.
That isn't THAT bad.... ya, its a bit of work, and certainly not WoW standards but it isn't anything compared to some MMOs (especially old school ones). Now with the huge quest xp jump, it'll be even faster... I really don't see the problem - but I don't mind working to get something I guess.

Most everyone is already level 30 unless they are rolling alts, etc. Level 30 is really not that hard, majority of the people I know and in my guild are that level and no they're not all hardcore 24/7 players... so yes, while its true this only affects lvl 30 - this is where the slow xp is so it only makes the most sense to address that.

Grinding is present in every RPG (or so, some exceptions) but how you deal with it will make it seem like it's not a grind, creating a deep combat or a good story will help immensly in this case, but Aion has neither making it a true mindless grind.
Someone hasn't played the game.
I did and even tried to like it, I had friends playing as well wich was the only thing that made the experience bare-able. What part of Aions story is not an under-develop excuse to have angels fight each other? what part of Aions combat is not face rolling at it's worse?
The part you never got high enough to try. I love people who quit after 1 week of gameplay and think they can tell everyone else what the game is like. Just because you suck at it doesn't mean the game sucks, maybe its just you.

You can make all the excuses you want, most people predicted a month before anyone would reach max... because of the so-called "grind". Now there's people at 50 and out come the excuses. No one cares to listen to anything - so why are we arguing? If you don't like Aion and dont want to play, then that's totally fine. I can see why its not for everyone.... but don't make it sound like there'll only be a dozen 50's by Christmas... most ppl will be max level in 2 or 2 1/2 months... and Ill ask again (patch or no patch) what's so wrong with that?

No offence mate but have you seen the amount of xp even compared to the quest's and mob kills it takes from say level 40 to level 50?
You may aswell do another guy from level 1 to level 40,it will be quicker.
Sorry but any guy so quick to top level either has friends helping them out or they have some serious Hygiene problems

Bot's will be max level within a week or 2 to begin with,sooner rather than later they will have this to a week,that is why they do not care when there account's are banned..they have made there cash on that account,regardless of the game,they bot around it.

I kind of disagree. A typical asian grinder would take longer for max level.
But for a western game 18 days is actually a long time for max level. If you compare to other western games, they hit max level much faster.

Its 18 days but likely not 18 days played.
So let's say the person went hardcore, and played... 14 hours a day. Didn't have a life, didn't need to work, probably had a few people play the account to level it faster... That works out to about 10 days played total.
That isn't THAT bad.... ya, its a bit of work, and certainly not WoW standards but it isn't anything compared to some MMOs (especially old school ones). Now with the huge quest xp jump, it'll be even faster... I really don't see the problem - but I don't mind working to get something I guess.

Yes it up's the QUEST xp but not until; the later level 30's and the chance's of that even hitting here this year are very slim,.

Its already on the test server (along with SM flying pets) - IMO it'll be here sooner than later (see what I did there?)
Furthermore, you are 100% correct. It IS post level 30.... but, isn't that where the so-called problem is? Most everyone is already level 30 unless they are rolling alts, etc. Level 30 is really not that hard, majority of the people I know and in my guild are that level and no they're not all hardcore 24/7 players... so yes, while its true this only affects lvl 30 - this is where the slow xp is so it only makes the most sense to address that.

Someone hasn't played the game.
I did and even tried to like it, I had friends playing as well wich was the only thing that made the experience bare-able. What part of Aions story is not an under-develop excuse to have angels fight each other? what part of Aions combat is not face rolling at it's worse?
The part you never got high enough to try. I love people who quit after 1 week of gameplay and think they can tell everyone else what the game is like. Just because you suck at it doesn't mean the game sucks, maybe its just you.

Absolutely nothing...
You can make all the excuses you want, most people predicted a month before anyone would reach max... because of the so-called "grind". Now there's people at 50 and out come the excuses. No one cares to listen to anything - so why are we arguing? If you don't like Aion and dont want to play, then that's totally fine. I can see why its not for everyone.... but don't make it sound like there'll only be a dozen 50's by Christmas... most ppl will be max level in 2 or 2 1/2 months... and Ill ask again (patch or no patch) what's so wrong with that?
Edit: and by most ppl I mean those who play semi-casual... 20-25 hour a week range.... not super hardcore/24/7 but not slackin off either. I expected this to take me till close to Xmas and Im enjoying the game so why do I care?
