I too was not trying to get into a discussion about parenting, I was merely stating ONE of the reasons why I personally don't play games with nudity in them. In my opinion, adding nudity to a game adds no value to the game whatsoever. So why include it? All it does is manage to alienate some people who don't want to see it. I've certainly never heard anyone say "I don't play that game because there is NO nudity in it". If someone did then I would think they are a perv. So why, as a game company, make the decision to include it unless you just want some cheap tabloid-like attention.
I don't really care. I'm an adult person: for me genitals are just another body part, and not the mysterious legends they are for younger players. It's kinda weird that there are people who enjoy that some MMORPGs have a slider for breast-size, and who try to undress their chars as much as possible. But when they suddenly see a naked model of a male human, then it's all wrong.

On topic, if one is offended by such visuals than do not play it (what a concept). I am sure there is a game playing rating that indicates the age level which addresses the children seeing nudity (unless the parents have no control over their children). That is, if your kid is seeing it, your parenting skills may need addressing, introduce them to pong...nothing offending there.

As it happens I'm all for more variety & realism & would be perfectly happy with less than beautiful characters in a game (I played Ogres & Trolls in EQ out of a preference for playing "ugly" game characters), there should be the option to create the sexy "uber-babe" you imagine I would drool over in my degenerate's pit, but there should also be the option to create ugly fat beer-bellied slobs too, though I'd have really thin or really fat characters bear penalties & bonuses for body size/weight.

Yes this is the problem. A mature rating isnt going to mean a mature player base. If anything, this feature being included will attract the players the mature rating is supposedly trying to avoid. However if it will mean more box sales the devs will not care who is buying them.
