It's a fun game that just didn't ship with enough content to keep people interested for long term.
(1) The gameplay is actually pretty good. Pacing is nice, power selection is decent. They have a relatively good balance between mob toughness and hero effectiveness. While you don't have to team, that's a decent attraction to a casual game. Plus it's one of the first real deviations from DPS - BUFF - TANK - HEAL, which in my book is a good thing.
(2) It's missing content to keep you logging in night after night. I don't need items and shineys to keep me happy. I do need varied activities to keep me logging in. That's really the games main glaring fault... at least in relation to other games. Yes, there are some balance issues, but those crop up in every game; even ones that are years old.
(3) The character creation is VERY good. That's a real plus and it does make going through the same content over and over a little more bearable. However, while it's a good system, it doesn't take long to run through most your character concepts. Added to this is a very liberal respec system that is needed since the game is very harsh on non optimal characters.
(4) PvP is light and good for some laughs. I've had a good time playing in it, even if there are some combos that are overpowered and easily abused. It's a good basis for a system, if there are enough people that are going to play it.
I think that in a year, it will be a very good game. The glaring fault is that it doesn't have enough content, which is something that time can indeed fix. What is there, is usually fun, and paced reasonably well. If they can put out enough to keep people interested, I would see the game grow to a nice stable population.
