I've had the misfortune of playing this game, so It's too late for me to really care about reviews.  The only reviews I've read are the ones that have the CDF nerdraging in the forums...like one where they guy was like "I bet he didn't even play past early Lt Commander" when the review clearly said the reviewer played to Captain.

I don't think any of these reviews the reviewer had any agenda.  Almost all the number summaries I've seen of reviews for this game are "meh" 5/10 or 6/10.  I don't think it's really all that surprising one reviewer finds this game to be pretty good.  There are enough CDF members on the forums to tell me he's not alone...no disrespect to the reviewer, I'm not implying he's in the CDF.

That just smacks of desperation.
And if you think I'm going to go onto my forums and post a thread entitles "Hey, OP. It really is me." then you're simply stoned. If you feel so strongly about all this, feel free to register on our site with the same name (or as close as you can get if someone else happens to have it) and make a comment on the review. I'll be happy to put your disbelief to rest.

PS - I do have to thank you for making this my new favorite thread ever, LOL.

Don't hold your breath. The OP is all bark and no bite judging from his ZZZZZZZ response.

This thread has been too entertaining not to give Rydeson every opportunity to prove his point. I won't begrudge someone their opinions. Just so the bizarre notion of I'm not who I say I am can be laid to rest, I started this thread just for him.

    Enjoy!

A review is an opinion of a game.
    All opinions therefor have bias.
    All reviews are bias.
Grats welcome to understand basic concepts for people who seem to be lacking.
Guy obviously doesn't work for Cryptic and those claiming he does because he was in closed beta fail to realize that most gaming sites get closed beta invites to all sorts of games. Doesn't mean he had any association outside of working for TTH.
I have been in a good amount of closed betas and have never been associated with any game company it is called registering and getting picked. This thread continues to amaze me at the lack of basic understanding of how stuff works.

I take it you are talking about yourself in understanding the phrase of  "appearance of impropriety" ...  If that doesn't work for you, try understanding "conflict of interest"..   Until you read and understand that simple ethical phrases, we are done here..  Have a great day :)

You fail at understanding conflict of interest. He works for TTH he wrote a review for TTH. Where is the conflict of interest? Where is his ethical dilema? There isn't one rofl. Have a good day yourself, and hope you understand the basics for the future.

I just read the review. It read pretty objective to me. Everything I read was fact based when needed. He did use positive language, rather than neutral or negative language, but there's nothing wrong with that, since facts are facts.

So I agree with the review. The game has its problems, but is a fun little game for a little while for casual gamers.

Pretty unbiased report ..imo. Just because he is a STO site lead for TenTonHammer doesn't mean he 's a shill. Its as if  he was a London correspondent for CBS news. He'd naturally be there to report on events in that region and in the process he may discover he either likes or dislikes the experience. Just like a good "reporter" should ...It seems he did not let his "like" for STO influence his reporting of both the pros and cons of the game.

In my opinion, the reviewer's opinion is pretty positive. I personally find his scores astoundingly high for what this game is.
