Yeah I usually play US servers, lag is seldom a problem (unless it is server side). The issue is when guilds/friends want to schedule events for US prime time, I find it hard to stay a wake into the early hours of the morning nowadays.
I notice you played FE recently. Me too. Really a nice game lots of quite novel stuff. Not an awful lot of things that need a group to tackle which is one of the things that brought me to this thread.
This is a good idea, and I'm interested too, but I think you should narrow it down to games where you can play together world wide, that is games not too localized. For instance even if EQ2 has EU and NA servers anyone with an account can play on any server, but take Lotro, I have a lifetime EU-sub, but can't play on NA-servers...same with a lot of other games.

In all fairness, recuiting a new guild via forums has to be one of the more challeging tasks, and many people have such different ideas about what constistutes a good grouping experience.
From my viewpoint Warhammer is not a good grouping game, (or even a good game in any way) so I'd never join up.
There is such a difference between games designed to encourege players to group vs just forming a group in a typical modern MMO, but many newer players to the genre don't realize this.

Both agreeing and disagreeing with the poster above. There has yet to be a result, but with a group, you have to talk things over to make it work. Sure, it's more work and frustration than simply playing alone, but if one cannot even take that bit of work to find some like-minded people, then I understand why the MMOs have become dumped down to suit players who don't want any challenge or work put into it at all.

You guys just missed out on a STEAM 7 dollar special,where you could have had thre entire FFXi game,including all xpacs.You can still get the entire package from Steam or Fileplanet for 15 bucks,quite a good deal if you ask me.You are not going to find a better grouping game anywhere,becaue the game is designed from the ground up,right through to the end to be grouped.
If you are a fan of UO,then i guess you will miss the PVP,as FFXI is meant to be a game of co-operation not to encourage players to cause strife for one another.As a group of new players in FFXI,without the aid of high levels,you would get to truly experience a CHALLENGING game,that part leaves a player with an amazing feeling of accomplishment.
There is also a ton of side action in FFXI,like attaining a NPC fellow,Chocobo,yo ucan capture mobs to fight in the arena[cool idea that never seemed to catch on].Lots of other stuff as well,eventually leading up to Campaign,and the whole mission/quest design is a separate side show ,not related to XP gains.

Well I was def interested in this till WAR became topic. lol Dont get me wrong love the game but after they just jacked me for $300 dollars...forget that!. There billing system is whacked out. Looks like we would need def more for the warbands too. FFXI is imo much more group centric and would take less amount of people to achieve the purpose here we are all looking for. Willing to consider other games too as long as has a coherent billing department. Plus if we are going to stick together till end game as well ..plenty better options out there then WAR.(like i said i love war , but keeping face for the objective here.)
I'm VERY sorry guys, but I been playing WAR since yesterday and I managed to get to 10. I played some scenarios and stuff, but I did not have fun at all. I even joined up with some people who had vent (cause you werent on obviously) but i didn't have fun.
I don't think I will stick with war. I cant even give my CC to them (yes I dont trust mythic) so.

ya i wouldnt trust mythic ..i mean i ended up gettin reimbursed..but i def no this was not the first multiy person billing error and im sure not the last for the billing problems. they only credited me back 3/4 the charges i just sat on the phone for a hour tryin to fix and now they say another week. i mean they are tryin to fix the problems but its enough of a problem to sway me some where else.. lol..well if a few wanna play war.. thats cool...anyone else down to pick out of ffxi... lotro...and eq2?..maybe even a try in vanaguard even tho its dead. I hear that is the only problem really with it besides some minor bugs and stuff. im all ears??

I wouldnt mind starting fresh with other peeps but Im not sure there are any mmos out there that meet half of my expectations that I havent already played to death.
Sounds like you guys are done with WAR which I recently recanceled my sub to seeing they billed me over 19xs and I wasnt even due for a charge and unlike some say they havent reversed the charges my bank and I are still in a dispute with them.
Also have open subs in AoC but just about played it to death, dont care to level anymore 80s there and no reason to grind more pvp levels when my raid gear is better than the pvp gear.. Tier3 progression is there but looking for more than just logging on raid nights.
I prefer P2P games because F2P games, especially pvp focused f2p mmos seem to cost more than p2p if you want to stay competitive and on par with other serious players.
I have accounts with just about all the p2p mmos, If your going to try to get people playing EQ2 I may re-install it.. but I have a hard tome sticking with a game without competitive pvp... I enjoy running instances/raids but I need good active pvp for the downtimes

EQ2 is the exact same thing as WAR. -_- If you want something different and actually fun I again highly suggest you play FFXI. If you play EQ2, play on the server Antonia Bayle(or whatever it's called), it has the highest population.
yeah i say either ffxi ...eq2 or vanguard.... ffxi honestly is the best for grouping..at lvl 10 we would all have to group together whole time to progress and its honestly addicting..i hate grinding in most games but it some how makes it fun. lol only thing is graphics r dated ..(ps2) but it still doesnt look bad for a mmo.... i just used up free trial on eq2 but willing to play if we can group early on...anyone know??? and how bout vanguard? anyne know earliest we can group?

Guys, seriously, why it always finishes with FFXI? I downloaded trial and I think I am missing something. It is extremely outdated, and I am not talking about graphics here, I talk about so strange controls! I could barely run straight there - very strange/old days game. Seriously, this can never catch any newer player who did not play it from day one.
I would reopen idea of vanguard. I never played it, but all I hear about the game that its biggest problem is lack of people. So be it, lets make group there. If we beat the lack of people there, it will be a great game right? I mean is Vanguard really such interesting game to try with some serious MMORPG.com group, or it is just another "the game has potential" game?

Well vanguard could do.. But ffxi sounds better on grouping.
