Until I actually play it its all hear say thats all. From every video I have seen it looks like there will be plenty to do.
And the whole beauty of their pricing model is that if I log in for 10 hours and find out theres not enough for me to do (which i don't believe will be the case, but am saying for the sake of argument...) I can simply log out and save my 40 remaining free hours for when there is.
"The game includes 50 hours of action game play out of the box plus unlimited time in APB's social districts customising, socialising and trading on the marketplace."
thats funny because the beauty of every other actual "mmo" game I paid $50 for I got unlimited playtime for 30 days to do what i wanted with whether that was standing in town crafting,questing/grinding or pvping.

Your missing the point, and I think now thats probably deliberate. You have now just entrenched yourself so deeply into your argument that it's pointless to even talk about it.
I like the revenue model and don't think it will be a problem for many, you don't like it and think it will. Nothing we say to each pther at this point will convince the other to change their taste.
Its all supposed projection based on personal preference and I suspect this all comes down to who gets the last word, and I cba with an endurance debate, so go for it.

I havnt entrenched anything my last comment to you was i didnt think its character creator was better than CO I didnt say it was bad
But for you to defend this so called "mmo" on its pricing model I see where you stand and would be suspicious if you werent being paid to viral market it(talk about missing points)
you want to call it a mmo and yet defend its pricing model even tho it gives you less time to even play it yet alone content out of the gate than any actual mmo that has content to back it
hell even Global Agenda another mmotps has unlimited 30 days play after purchase they even have not started charging a sub fee til they get their pve content going so even on that note the ability to make some custom tattoos doesnt warrant the 50 hours of gameplay for 50 dollars initial purchase

You know i am all about dicussion and difference of opinion but when you make asnine comments like the one i underlined, its hard to take you seriously. By your logic since you spend so much time on forum of a game you dislike so much and refuse to mvoe on and enjoy CO, i can say that maybe you are planted here by some rival MMO company? i mean its only fair if someone defending APB is viral marketer then you are a plant of rival company right?

if you actually read my post you would see i was replying to a reply as i am doing now and there is nothing asinine about my comment i know its not true but it makes me wonder
try reading a few posts above like the beauty of this payment plan post
i never said i disliked the game i said i disliked the payment scheme try moving past your dislike for my opinions
as far as the CO thing it was an opinion about which had a better character creator and not saying either was bad
but then again i think your idea of a debate is everyone agreeing with you no matter what
APB is a COAG/FPS Competitive/Cooperative Online Action Game/First Person Shooter.
It's like Guild Wars, the makers of GW said the game isn't a MMORPG, it's a CORPG, they are kind of the pioneers of the "district" style games with multiple instances for every zone...Like I said the GW model is what they really should have went after...Do you think Guild Wars would have sold 10 million copies with a subscription? I bet it would have barely sold 1 million.
Until I actually play it its all hear say thats all. From every video I have seen it looks like there will be plenty to do.

ok I dont know what a freaking shill is but you tell me what is the beauty of your post and APB's pricing model in the comparison above?!!! because your beauty standards seem to eat into my pocket and give me less for what is leaving my pocket than any other actual "MMO"so you tell me please I want to know
I loved the idea of this game but its GTA semblance is not a "flash bang" I am sorry, and I am assuming you are a shooter so you get the reference

sad thing is CO can only hold what 150 per instance so whats the diffrence
So if EA ran their own servers and charged you $10 a month to play BC2 it would be OK?
you cant compare APB and bc2
you are correct you cant compare APB to BFBC2 BFBC2 is a waaay better shooter
sadly i get bored with just shooters
and their being a better shooter is pure opinion... and, as has already been stated. APB isnt just a shooter.. thankfully.. i see APB as being a hell of a lot more fun, and thats the only important point to consider imo.. i'll be buying it as soon as it hits the shops!

What is APB besides a shooter? Aside from the customization - or is that all it takes to make it more than "just a shooter?"
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

the game just plays diffrently froma shooter. and there more roomt o expand the game. the custimizations helps alot.
the driving around. global agenda is diffrent from APB crimecraft sucks sorry. it has what 32 vs 32.. diffrent type of game.
I think that the payment model is fine, and actually pretty cool for a game like this. This games downfall, if anything, will be because it is basically Global Agenda in a "GTA" style setting. The main issues are that there is very little persistance aside from your character, and a lot of heavy instancing. I personally really dislike this trend with "MMOGs" lately with the heavy instancing, FPS style and lack of persistance. A lot of people see it as evolving and/or innovating, but it seems rather like an illusion of such to me... I am sure a lot of people will find it fun for a while, but the things that it lacks compared to a classic MMORPG will turn off many gamers expecting more depth and persistance out of their MMOG experience.
Heavy instancing is what turned me away from DDO and STO. Its to bad they did not make the game world a little more presistant. It looks like a lot of F N fun though.
So just because you disagree with a few things about the game it will flop?
The game sounds pretty cool, although, I think it could be quite a bit cooler.
The subscriptions are fine. There's no other free to play FPS out there with 100 player battles, and this game has a cool concept.
People just aren't used to paying to play for FPS games. It's probably going to become more mainstream though. Look at Global Agenda... if that didn't flop there's no reason to think this will.
I agree, im still thinking of giving it a whirl. its a damn nice change to ALL the damn fantasy mmos/mmog's. dont get me wrong i love the fantasy setting...its like having a favorite movie and watching it 4 times a day, for 6months strait.after awhile it gets old.

Hellgate London, Crimcraft, and Global Agenda next up APB same game differnet skin same result incoming.
And not saying its a bad game looks like it could be a lot of fun (short term), but it wont by any means have MMO sucess they are banking on .
APB will be about the size of FE.
Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
Now Playing: N/A
Worst MMO: FFXIV
Favorite MMO: FFXI
+ 1

its not just a shooter
Are these 50 vs 50 rounds or only 100 people in social zone?
What does it offer besides "FPS"? Yeah customisation fluff, but i doubt that is a reason to play the game.
This strategy reminds the way Global Agenda went, except they want from start on subscription ...
EvE doors
See the best doors on EvE-on!
the game is more like Co than global agenda but its all pvp instead of pve its 100 people poor any zone instance to prevent over crowding.
global agenda is like BF2. APB is diffent just trust me
