Maybe mmorpg did a purge or something, I remember one day I logged in and went from thousands of posts to like 200 and title dropped down a few.
this is my original account, think i came here the first time when the mmo i was playing (earth and beyond if i recall) was shut down. i wanted to research what else there was to play and find this site an enormous source feedback. keep posting guys, both good and bad, its the only way to get a somewhat accurate description of the games that are out there.
IF THE ONLY DEFENCE FOR CRITICISM OF A GAME IS CALLING SOMEONE A TROLL OR HATER, THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE GAME
I tried the address in 98-99 to see if anyone had it after the MMORPG domain. I am not sure when this company or whatever took over the domain or started to use it but it used to be just junk. So my '10 is a bit of a misnomer.
04' but sure I lurked before joining. I don't remember, I think it was UO, DOAC, SWG or EQ/EQ2 when I discovered this site. Been a long time ago, I'm thinking UO though.
04/15/2006, Iv looked at threads that go back all the way to 2003 though. I made a thread when mmorpg hit there 1 millionth forum member, no one seemed to excited. Heres to when we reach 10 million I guess? I was thinking the other day if mmorpg stayed on the net for how ever long how long would it take to reach 100 million forum members. I decided the internet probubly would be long gone before that ever happened or mmorpg would have to be some type of major corporation and by then there website would have been overhauled and we would likely not be remembered.
I've been coming here since 2002-2003 or so. Didn't start posting until I had enough of the SOE trolls though and had to voice my opinion in 2006. Mostly just came here for game reviews before that.
Came here originally because this site was the place to find out about new MMOs. Didn't really get into posting on the fourms until a while later.
Lately I've not really had a desire to post here much. Mainly due to just being sick of arguing with people about it being a nice thing to have 1-2 new MMOs with updated takes on older systems. Apparently some read that as every single new MMO must have them or they just don't want others to have anything that doesn't appease them.
Anyway, had so much free time I just took the class portion of my Concealed Carry Handgun class today. Just gotta shoot tomorrow (thankfully we are going to the range I use) and I'm done!

I noticed this week that Girlgeek is no longer registered. That's a bummer. I always enjoyed her posts and sense of humor.
I know what you mean. One of the few people I have friended on this site over the years. Shared alot of her views. Don't know that I would delete my account but I wouldn't be surprised if I took a long hiatus for a while. Heck, I remember when Jon (Stradden) posted quite often. Even he doesn't post as much. Course his last piece talking about posting on a hostile forum is a bit telling. All you have to say is I'm a vet and I liked some of the old systems and the shots start firing.

I have absolutely no idea how or when I found this site. I know I was playing DAOC at the time, and I had followed the site for a little bit before I joined, have been to this site about once a day since.
Not sure how long this site has been around, but before i lurked here in 06, the games were good enough to hold my attention so i didn't have to read jaded forum posts like in this place.

Looked around a bit before I joined. I always hate signing up for stuff and don't randomly sign up to things so I guess as early as '03.
As far as why it was as random as tying in MMORPG.COM and there actually being a site at the addy. LMAO.
