I wouldnt play GW2 simply because of Arenanet, biggest load of lying deceiving bullshitters I've ever known. and NCSoft keep blocking my account because of hackers.

Yeah maybe in your twisted mind. But not in the real world.

Really because my account had the same problems!! No comment on Arenanet.

I have had a GW account since 2005 and havn't had any problems so maybe its something else.
Interestingly thought, BHS/NHN have brought the Korean releases forward from 2011 to Q4 2010.
So maybe they will bring the NA/EU releases forward again too.
No that release (korean release) got pushed back a few months also but it will still launch this year for them, in stead of summer it will launch this winter for them.

At some point I was under the impression they'd make it in 2010. But for the last months things have been going quite slow, other games releasing more and more information. I can only hope this is all for the best. I'm keeping an eye out on this game
That's going to put it up against NCsoft's other title Blade and Soul. So for 2011, there will be:
Aion, Tera, and Blade and Soul from this one company.
I don't think NCsoft will care much as they will get money from any game you pick, but it's definitely going to be a tug of war regarding populations and balancing.
My guess? People will leave AION 2011 in the short term as the Balaurea expansion gets old in a few months, then most of them will be burned out of the whole "Elf/Hume" fantasy genre for a bit (especially if they've done the whole Wow, Warhammer, Aion route). They'll be looking for other games to play in 2011 probably like SWTOR and GW2 or maybe Rift which are different in world/lore makeup.
Since Tera and AION look a lot alike visually, I would suspect people would probably skip Tera, play one of those aforementioned while waiting for Blade and Soul which looks nothing like either of them.

TERA is not associated with NCsoft?........or maybe I missed something huge here.
Thought it was Bluehole Studios, which is completely made up of former NCsoft employees and En Masse?

That's bad logic - no 2 ways about it.
My mistake Waldoe.
I shouldn't have just blindly believed this Tera fan's post. Have to remember that fans sometimes put up things just to prove a point.
I still believe if Tera releases around Blade and Soul's date they are going to have a rough time of it. Best news for Tera would be if B/S gets pushed back as well and that might make them go into 2012.
Visually that game has always looked heads and shoulders above most things slated for 2011, and I think if you showed gameplay for both of those and asked "Which game would you be more excited to play?", Blade and Soul would probably get 9/10 votes.

Bluehole Studios, the developer of TERA, were employed by NCSoft before they broke away and formed their own company. Some of the head guys behind TERA also worked on Lineage 2. Fortunately I think they realized what a crappy company NCSoft really is and got away before making Lineage 3; rumors are TERA is using the engine originally meant for L3.

For me I see delays as a good sign because that means they are adding content and fixing concerns brought up from the testers.
Do I want to play it NOW...hell yea
But I can wait for a better product.
