This. Saying you don't have the time to play isn't a good excuse to make the game quicker and easier. If you don't have the time, make time. Or play something else. MMORPG's weren't really meant to be played in short bursts like most games are. They are meant to be slowly consumed and enjoyed. You are supposed to enjoy the journey to the top, not rush to the end game only to be bored to death and wonder why there isn't much to do.

Why do I have to play something else? I will gladly pay my MONEY to any game that does not requirement a big time commitment.

I am not "supposed" to do anything. The view that entertainment should be constrained to YOUR way is just .... arcande and behind the market. I will enjoy the game anyway i would like to and reward any developers who would provide that.

I am sure you will vote with your wallet too. We will see which part of the market is bigger.

And btw, less grindy != easier, as the low % of  wow players who have ever killed the LK in hard mode has shown.

If you don't want big time commitments in games play single player RPGs, why should MMO's be stripped of everything cause people don't MAKE time for a genre that is a nothing but one big time commitment? Their meant to be played for years not 3-6 months before moving to the next one.

It's very sad when ppl come out with such declarations, very sad. If this kind of thought will be dominent we don't see any more art in literature, cinema etc. Againts reading 800-pages novel they issue some 10 page diggest; instead of deep philosophical movies we get some 5 min trailers.... And that's it - ya call it entertainment, I call it bullsheit.
