If it is a huge hit we will see every other MMO make changes to copy it. Whether Bioware and EA can pull this off is yet to be seen but I know I dont want to see other developers try.
They won't and they can't, besides a very few. The budget is just too high for most to be able to do it.
Compare it with movies: you have some big blockbusters with mega budgets from time to time, but next to that you have a lot of other movies that do well and that were made with smaller budgets.
Personally, I prefer the MMORPG market like the movie market instead of the OS and Office programs market, where there is one dominant MMORPG like a Microsoft that dominates everything else. Microsoft's dominance has stifled a lot of creativity, I personally prefer more variety and diversity.
