you know whats funny is that i did what you asked in the other thread, i broke down EQ2 and all its issues and compared them w/ WoW's, i was looking forward to seeing your reply, and how you would rationalize the aspects of EQ2 i broke down in a good light. Since i would think defending some of the points i brought up(character buiilding, play value, economy/vendoriing, etc.) would be very difficult even for EQ2's staunchiest fans. Sadly the over-moderation on these forums got the best of the tiime i put into my post, its unbelievable even when you support all your points and give a good argument, the moderators here will still delete it. I might as well just resort to the 'EQ2 sucks" arguments, lot easier doing that than actually putting thought and support into them only to have them deleted by the over-moderation. Hell, i cant even find the thread anymore, this honestly is one of the worst moderated forums i've EVER visited or posted on
I do think you and others at least read it before the moderator deleted it, and i'd be willing to rewrite most of it in a more summarized form for you to see again. Or your more than welcome to write your own comparison between both which i'd be happy to respond to.
Also to Daisy(ughh forgot), i hope you do read the links you provide considering that character was powerlvled by multiple people in shifts. You really should learn to be honest and not distort the truth, or try and use the exception and act like its the norm. I guarantee you 99% of the populatioin isnt getting to 60 in 10 days, not even a month. I find it funny that you listed your character to prove you played WoW, but distorted the reality of leveling in WoW with a complete and utter exxageration~

Firemagic, I proved that you have not played EQ2. I asked you to tell me why you did not like EQ2, you told me to find the posts. I asked you to talk about high end content since you said you played for a fairly long time, you made an excuse not to. So it shows that you have been bashing without knowing what you are even talking about. Prove me wrong firemagic, do what I asked. Talk about actual content, thing that SoE did to make it a bad game. If you do not I have no respect for you at all.
Guys why do you have to defend a game with over 30 packed servers(in some case crowded past their intended limit due to SoE overdriving the numbers to reduce queuing).
All you doing is feeding an obssessed mind.It is just for us to point out how unhealthy a habit it is for him rather then challenge him.
i really think firemagic loves Eq2, why else would he post so much about it?

ughh that sucks, i was hoping you had read it before the mod deleted it *sigh*, what a waste of frickin time it is to post on this forum with something thought out, i still dont know why it was mod'd.
Well, i'm not sure i'm willing to write it all up again but if i get time i'll try and write a summarized version for ya, so that way if they delete it again, it'll be less time i put towards it wasted.
btw i'm not hating on EQ2, in fact if EQ2 were better than WoW i'd happily admit it. I'm just trying to be as honest as i can in comparing both, even if i do come across bias for WoW with my conclusions. I dont see the harm in comparing/supporting the finer/lesser points of both games as long as its supported w/ logic and truth, its awhole lot better than "WoW sucks" or "EQ2 sucks" type of arguments, let alone "EQ2 servers are ppacked so its automatically awesome and therefore i dont have to explain anything". This isnt meant for who i originally replied to, but to the poster after the reply. Imo nothing is worse than people who cant make an argument or at the very least explain why they feel how they feel.
Next time you should copy and paste what you typed on a notepad. I usually do that incase it gets deleted.
I think alot of people can not explain how they feel about a game, so they resort to saying stupid things like "WoW rules, EQ2 sux". But when people do say mature and respectful opinions they get deleted, nice job mods Malkavian didnt even bother to say why he deleted it
I thinkt he big thing here is people measure sucess in difrerent ways.
If you measure in overall satisfaction. Or sales. WoW wins lol.
If you measure in innovation and new ideas WoW doesn't win.
The problem here is that, too many people think that their view of "best" is the correct one and the other on is not. What you have to realize is that, your perticular criteria is different from others, does that make your an more or less valid? no, it doesnt.
Some people with more experience may claim that their view is more knowlegable, that may be true, but is there oppinion any more valid? no.
Does it have more Clout? Possibly.
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
It's quite odd how so many people seem to have the impression that casual players and socially-oriented players (a.k.a. 'carebears') shouldn't play MMORPGs. I have a dreadful attention span and have never played a modern graphical MMORPG for longer than three months before getting bored of it. CoH lasted me a month, and although I'm eager to play WoW I suspect it won't keep me for much longer than that. The only online game I've played for any length of time was Discworld MUD. And it had the same grind, the same class imbalance, the same repetitive questing as any MMORPG today, but what it also had was a strong community spirit. Most days we just logged on and chatted, maybe swatted a few creatures or hunted some other players down for a half hour or so but that was just something to do between conversations. Most MMORPGs don't concentrate much on this aspect - it's hard to build a community when there's several thousand people on the server. I think the DnL nobility system looks like a step in the right direction, as this will give players fame and encourage politics. I would be much more enthusiastic to play for months towards a political position than I would to get a higher number next to the 'Level' label on my character info bar.

im sorry but u guys are right WoW is just like CoH. The leveling system is way too ez i am lvl 45 hunter and i havent played more than 2 weeks. Thats ridiculous. PvP system sux big time, i rather not have a PVp system than have 1 like in WoW. The game is fun the first 30 lvls but than it gets really repetitive, but dont get me wrong every MMORPGS has its grinds but WoW will die out very fast. People talk about EQ or EQ2, DaOC, AC, AC2 those games have a tough lvling system thats why they are around. I really am bored of WoW so im going to try new things now
Kpton, im sorry you feal that way, but There are about 300,000+ people out there who would dissagree. You cant find a WoW box anywhere. It won game of the year at gamespot. As well as one of the highest ranks in history. There has been nothing but good reviews.
Im sorry, but it is a GOOD GAME. lol but unfortunalty, most people on these forums right now are part of the Vocal Minority, since, chances are, everyone who likes it, is playing it right now. I would too, if I could get a copy, but I didnt camp out, and they've been sold out for a loong time now.

If you havent played why should you talk? You dont know how it is at higher lvls, he stated he liked the game for the first 30 levels.
Ummm to the guy that said "sony it can be done", EQ2 is one of the smoothest games I have played, the only lag you can get is from not having a good enough computer. If you have at least of a decent computer, you WILL NOT experience lag. If you think otherwise you have not played the game. The only lag I get is in town which is minimal, and I have a slow ISP.

As a matter of fact an old DAoC guildie ordered one last week and got it 2 days ago.
So if folks in UK have no trouble getting their hands on one should be dead easy for those in north america .
might be a little more popular in NA. Cause if you look at EBGames, its on backorder. on Ebay people are bidding 90-100+ for a copy in hopes it will arrive before christmas.
