Comented on the Blog itself. Didn't think it was overly negative, just somebodys honest opinion. Didn't agree with some of what was writen but it's all subjective innit? Thought it was well writen as normal and an entertaining read.
Yes...squirrels. If a game company is going to make a game like WoW(and it is so much like WoW it's like looking in a mirror), then they have to do it better than WoW. That means pay attention to ""all' details...not just a few. WoW is successful because it is polished all over the game. If you think for one second that people playing Rift will not notice these things...think again. Everything I wrote is dead on. Rift has to do it better than WoW. If they do not. It'll be the next Warhammer, the next AoC, the next Aion. Is that really what you want to see?
As for being to negative. Maybe Trion should make their game better. I am not going to just let these game developers get away with making crappy games. If I see something in a game that I feel is half assed or just out right bad..I am going to say so.

You know what I find funny?
How you could break down Rift and look over the most trivial aspects of the game and rip it a new asshole...
Yet after playing Rift, you can't go back too WoW.
For me that says something.

Some good information there, I just find the part you try and be funny in between a bit tedious and not straight to the point and too many lines of junk until you get into some objective information.
Maybe I just like straight to the point blogging, so just an opinion.
Yeah...tells you that I am sick of these games that deliver mediocre game play and same-old boring tedious grinds. Rift seems to follow suit in what WoW and Aion does and make so that we need two sets of armor to participate in PvP...and that entails a grind. If that floats your boat and you enjoy it -- have fun. Grind away. I'm done with that crap. I will forever continue to be a voice against such tired game elements. It is time for a change. Rift does not change it. Rift gets it wrong.

How is anyone supposed to take anything you say seriously when you could go from loving a game to trashing it in less than 24 hours?

Many people compare Rift to WoW and mention how polished WoW is ,if u recall WoW on day 1 ,it wasn't all that polished.

I have to agree here.. What wow did right.. was alot of the small things.. not just part of it... random movements.. when flying or riding around.. your character actually moved and looked around.. critters don't move, hop, eat, and get eaten by other creatures... those might not be the things you notice when you first start playing.. but if you play awhile.. you will begin to see them .. and that will keep you interested. I am still holding judgemenet til I hear about their raid content. I am hoping it will be a tier tyype raiding environment... I enjoyed Everquest because of the complexity of their raids.. and the fact you had to beat one raid dungeon before going to next one.. I hope to see that here.. Once you get to end game.. there has to be something to keep you playing.. max level and then what? ... that has to be what they need to look for... Couple raid dungeons at each tier that allows for various gear upgrades..

I can change my mind and the things, had time to think I said in my blog are not lies. They are the truth. Tell me one thing in my blog that is a lie. That is why you can take my word on it. I did not tell a lie or mislead. If I got something wrong...tell me where and I'll fix it. Otherwise...I stand by what I wrote. Rift is a good game for what it is. I has said this repeatedly. If you are looking for something different from WoW that is "like" WoW..this might be the game for you. If however, you are looking for something really different...I mean really different...Rift is not it. It is still WoW in a different package. It's presentation is a little different. You know what else. If the developers don;t make their game different...tag this post...pull it up in 3 months and read what I write here ---- RIFT will become the new Warhammer, the next AoC, the next Aion. It will just be another lack-luster MMORPG title that comes and goes.
Now Rockdog if you really like this game, you know I am right. Rift better deliver a better game. Gamers will not play it for long if it is not better than what they all ready play. It'll be hot for a month or two and then die. As it is now...Rift will be no different than WoW. It looks like it is goingto be a stupid grind at the end game - grind to get gear. no thanks. Been there...done that.

Is Rift God's gift to MMO gamers? No.
Do I find it to be better then anything to come out since WoW, and a suitable WoW replacement/substitute for me because I'm so tired of playing WoW after 6 years? yes.
From what I have seen/played in my Rift beta experience, the only thing WoW does better is quests/story and that is only due to their amazing use of phasing.
Rifts, invasions, and the class system in Rift trump phasing in my book. This open world content/experience easily outweighs yet further instancing/separation of players ala WoW phasing.
This game has a LOT of potential.
Due to the polish and really intelligent "little" choices I've seen made when playing Rift, I do have confidence in Trion (who I had never heard of until like a week ago) that they will manage this game well.
Is it the UO 2 I've been waiting for for a decade? No, but I know that game is never going to happen (as if every sandbox needs to have FFA PvP what a lazy development choice)

Its obvious something happened from yesterday to today that made you drastically change your view.
I consider people that do shit like that as basically being Fake.

Another person who didnt even make it out of silverwood posting a grande review of a game they barely scratched the surface of. It would be like reviewing WOW after completing Dun Morogh, LOTRO after Breeland, ect.
LOL! Yep. I wrote that. I cannot sign into WoW. After playing the Rift the graphics in WoW just look bland. Rift and I say as much in my blog are better in some ways. But they didn't go far enough. Rift has to do it all better. After thinking about it for a bit I decided to write how I feel. It is true. The squirrels in Rift are fugly and lack good animation. That is a sign that maybe more is lacking...what have we not seen yet. I dunno about you, but that sorta scares me. Remember how disappointed it was to find out AoC's end game actually sucked! That was why the developers never let us see it. Because it sucked. BTW - if you like lack-luster and sam-old same-old. Enjoy.

I get that. Maybe someone logs into a game and notices something they didnt before and it strikes a nerve and then its just like an avalanche. Now they dislike the game.
My issue with you is Rift isnt running servers right now.
So what happened in a 24 hour span that got you too change your mind?
My guess is it was the Pve server discussion on this forum and the official forums.
I mean you didnt bring up the "little things" at all before.
Almost feels like you got all pissed off and then needed too get overly critical to the point of insanity and this is why we are now discussing squirrels and Rift failing... lol

LOL! Well...I just want this game to be better damn it. I am sick of getting all excited only to find out I made a stupid choice and bought another WoW clone that only gets part of their game right. If they do nto get it all right...why play it. I want to be sure this time.
I see this all the time.I was there on Day 1 and WoW was very polished in the content it had and mechanics....
Lag and queues and crashes due to hugely unexpected and unprecedented demand and bugs that suddenly appeared due to the same =/= lack of polish.
Of course there were still little bugs here and there nto due to te above but that's normal of any game.For it's time WoW was very polished at launch comapred to what came before and since.I'm saying this as someone who quit WoW 3 years ago and has no desire to go back .
As to the OP...he ahs the right to express his views and opinions but I sorta have to agree with Rockgod here...to change his view on things in 24 hours in a period he can't evne paly the game....you can't help but feel it's questionable.

I guess some WoW players want something new. And this is perhaps something they should try. And Cata was not that good. The devs are not very good and every patch makes the game worse. So I belive its possible some will prefer this game.
If you prefer sci fi books you will not read the same book over and over. You will want to read other sci fi books. Even if the first book was the best ever written you will certainly want to read other books. And even if the first book was better it will be more fun to read a new one... So I dont think s new game will need to be as good as WoW or better in every way. People want a new game. Because its new. And focus on the whole not on the parts.
