It was a very nicely put together CGI movie but I'm certainly not gonna get excited about the game until I see in game footage and details. But that's true of any game not just this one.
as i watched the hitch i repeatedly muttered damnWOW damnWOWi just hope i get a chance to do what the father did to the bellhop to the father...now if we can just get a TV that sqruts blood out instead of vibrating controlers then we are making some real progress
the awesomness of this trailer only serves to reembitter me to the fact that Undead labs are working on the first high end zombie MMO, MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR CONSOLES?!?!?!?!?
Apparently some Hollywood types saw the trailer and got wood. There was an article on IGN about there being a movie in developement, but that later got clarified to 'a lot of interest' but that they hadn't sold the movie rights yet. As I posted there, the trailer was awesome and involving on an emotional level, but expanding that concept into a movie (and a zombie movie at that) is just beyond retarded. They were saying a 'Memento themed zombie movie'. Another instance of Hollywood going full retard on us.
This game looks pretty sweet. With that said, any gamer should know that a game uses cinematics to make the game look perfect. It goes with all things in the media industry. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't understand how this could make you mad in any way shape or form.
Loved the trailer!! Any game that crosses the taboo line when it comes to children is somthing to take notice of.. Yea, I planted a bomb in the castle nursery. (ultima) But what I love about zombies is their rage. It cannot be reasoned with, nor duz it show any emotion. The only thing the trailer was missing was an attack on a defenceless old lady in a wheel chair.. yea, I got problems..
This trailer was the most depressing thing I've ever seen. Yay?
I will become a father soon, maybe it's because of that that it creeped me out a bit. Although any films that show unnatural violence toward children are creepy. (6th sense)
Well, they did a great job in getting attention. Which won't make me play that game. Zombies are just as overdone as fantasy realms these days.
I can't understand what todays kids find so fun about zombies... Is it some kind of a way to blow your steam off by blowing up some zombie brains and cutting them in half? I guess it is, otherwise I see no reason for this weird interest in everything with zombies. I simply can't stand anything that has zombies in it. It just feels so dumb to me... Lame, dumb entertainment.

Sure, if you don't want to process the material in some intelligent way, I can imagine it all looks like a giant gore fest with little plot or personality. The truth is, what myself and many others find appealing in the Zombie apocalypse scenario is the same thing many others find to be so captivating in a variety of other mainstream collections amongst sci-fi and fantasy: that is, the end of the world.
The reason I personally enoy zombie stories or fantasy has to do with taking otherwise ordinary, boring individuals and turning them into the extraordinary through these adverse situations that zombies, an endless source and ultimately unstoppable enemy, can produce; it's very psychological. The same goes for so many other stories in an array of mediums, like a good ol' war movie (ordinary people becoming extraordinary), or the sun dying (ala Sunshine), and it prompts us to think about what we would do in those situations. It's all about the humanity of these characters and their will to resist in the face of insurmountable odds, which I find both heroic and devestating, though specifically I enjoy the dark enironments or atmospheres of zombie fantasy because it makes those fictional characters seem all that more impressive and uncompromising.
But sure, it's just lame, dumb entertainment. What we're really wanting is to see some dudes head removed with an axe, right? (I hope you guys can read sarcasm.)

Its a nice CGI cinematic, and a good "hype" magnet.
Other than that it does nothing to show me this game will be any different or better then the hundreds of other zombie-themed games on the market. I understand it's meant to convey the emotional tone of the game, but if it needs a cinematic to show it, they're only admitting that the actual gameplay isn't capable of conveying the same tone. If it could, than why not show the gameplay? It's a rhetorical question.
They are just trying to build some hype, and clearly doing so successfully. I'll withold my own excitement till they actually show some gameplay.

I don't see how you can make a post like that while sporting Leonidas shouting this is sparta as your avatar.... but I will for simplicities sake assume you made this as a serious post.
Zombies are that unstoppable force that could lead to the end of the world while at the same time leaving you with a glimmer of hope. They are one of the few protagonists that have the potential to unite the whole of mankind by providing a common enemy. It's essential a war movie where we aren't fighting each other or aliens. Aliens tend to present a problem that Zombies do not, with aliens the technology required to travel to our solar system and planet to try and conquer us, it just really isn't that feasable that mankind would have any hope of comming out of it as the victor. So that glimmer of hope really just isn't there.
Zombies are used as more of a metaphor in a good zombie movie or game, but being represented by zombies it makes it survivable I guess is the word. Zombies often represent a plauge that modern medicine just can't deal with, it spreads from one individual to the next. Instead of there being simply no hope with a plauge you have a zombie which can be stopped and avoided easier.
In any case you've made your point. Zombies are dumb and lame entertainment. Your avatar would suggest you prefer watching half naked men in leather screaming at each other so I will leave you to that. I won't even try comprehend what the banana represents...........

This trailer makes me wish The Walking Dead season 2 was out.

Brilliant!
Zombies are good stuff, indeed (err... undead... anyway).

Gotta love scrubs who think we care about what they think about things.
No, we don't care that you're "jaded" by game trailers.

Damn...watched the trailer at least 10 times and still loving it...it is awesome! More game companies should make trailers like that.
