I've linked to these forums several times without issue. I think MMORPG was not so much the infraction as part of the method ( i. e. what the MO forum mods considered trolling) Redrocket created his account here 12 days ago and has made 21 negative posts about MO and is walking right up to the line with his comments about china and censorship. There was probably more to his post to give rise to a ban than just a link to this forum.
Religion and Politics
MMORPG.com is a site to discuss massively multiplayer online roleplay gaming. While users are encouraged and permitted to use our Off-Topic forum to discuss real life and non-MMORPG gaming, threads concerning sensitive subjects such as religion, politics, or ethics may be locked or deleted if determined out of hand by the MMORPG.com moderator staff.
Well if you think so. Makes you wonder why it says "MMORPG linking" instead of "religious discussion" though, doesn't it?

China's censorship policies would be politics, not religion. I was noting your comments earlier in this thread.not on the MO forums.
You are suggesting that Starvault would have commented on that comparison. Does that indicate that you made the same comment on their forums or linked directly to that comment on this forum?

To be honest I have no clue what you're on about. What comparison? How did I suggest that Starvault "would have commented" on it? How could they? And why does it matter? That is obviously chronologically after getting banned on the MO forum.
Or do you think I posted the same screenshot of me getting banned from the MO forum on the MO forum and said the same thing that I said here? That doesn't make sense.
I'd rather not participate in such a confused verbal skirmish. Dunno what you thought this was about (considering the way you tossed in your fragmented half-knowledge about China, you must have mistaken this for a political discussion), but I posted to show that "MMORPG linking" is a reason for a perma ban on the MO forums nowadays.
theres a difference between linking a thread from another forum and linking a troll thread when you have just created an account. Of course they are going to ban you and most mmo forums would probably ban or at least warn you when you do so. Im sure linking something like the attack on meduli thread in the mmorpg forums would not get a ban.
there are 2 types of mmo, imitators and innovaters.

Because my postcount here is my postcount on the MO forums...
who knows what your post count is on the mo forums and why would anyone beleive anything you say when you were obviously banned for trolling, possibly just the mmorpg.com linkage but quite easily a combination of trolling and linking. Which imo is enough to ban you.

So you don't know my postcount but use it as an arguement, then you don't know if I trolled or not but use it too. I'm out of this "discussion". You love to read yourself, don't you?

You're absolutely right. We have no idea what you have posted other than the fact that it involved a link to this forum, Perhaps you could tell us in some detail what comments you made and what specifically you linked to. For all we know you found every negative post that had already been made, commented about the fact that it might get deleted and linked to this thread. After a few posts like that it would pretty clearly be trolling.
There is no redrocket on the MO forums and redrokit has made zero posts- so what is your ID on the MO forums?
I take it that you aren't going to provide any more context on the linking/trolling ban you received (i.e. letting us know your ID on the MO forums or giving a bit more info on the post that you made that got you banned)
I'll just note (again) that linking to another website can be a central part of an effort to troll a forum, and without any context it's impossible to judge the legitimacy of you getting banned when you aren't even telling us all of 'your side' of the story.
