Oh, boy another Themepark hater. Enlighten us please as to what you didn't like in the 3 links you provided? Oh, by the way, lose the assumption that everyone hates themeparks. You'll be much happier and may get your points across better.
It might be a "good F2P" in term of gameplay, with a bad cash shop.
Also, I guess it won't be polished, neither "finish".
But Asian game + Gpotatoes, hope aren't that high to be that great.
I guess the F2P lover might want to check it out, aniway, it cost nothing to try it.
In b4 Pay 2 Win, and that the "your character become a NPC while you're offline" is most likely only there to make it look populated but in the end when you'll visit a major city, they won't be that many "real player" out there.
I've been looking into this game and it appears it is not a themepark like we are use to seeing. It has many, many sandbox elements tossed in. So I think it is safe to say this is a sandpark game.
I read all 3 parts and I have to say I'm very pleased that this is not your typical themepark mmo! Being able to immerse myself in a online wuxia world with a focus that is not predominantly about combat is a huge bonus for me. I want to mold a unknown kungfu practitioner and turn him into a master respected by npcs and players. Now I may be able to do that.
Even thogh the life skills being shown looks kinda weaksauce, I can live with that as long as it's better than Fung Wa Online and 9 Dragons Online...my god those games brutalized wuxia with their classic high fantasy mmo pacing slapped with a kungfu skin! Pathetic!

I doubt this game will catch on well in the western market. Why? Its your typical free to play asian themed mmo made by your typical free to play company (gpotato).

gPotato is not making this game, they are merely providing the publishing...the game is made by Snail Game.
Don't let the HD video fool you the graphics are not better than FFXI.The combat looks boring nothing more than a bit of kung fu.Gpotatoe =no way and cash shop means i wouldn't touch it with your money.
I have made a stance to never again support any game that tries to "pretend" to be free to play with cash shops.
The buildings look like typical Silkroad,i bet there is not one single working door or mover in any of those buildings,so very cheap fast, lazy design. These f2p games by Gpotatoe usually run around 2-5 million tops, very cheap games.
I wouldn't play this even if it was truly free.
Gpotatoe has published a lot of games, they do not care of the quality, only that they get a cut on cash shops.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Lol,I hope you dont lose any sleep over it.Life is too short go find stuff you are interested in and give it your all.Me I find this interesting and will be definately trying it.
Age of Wulin, not only does it look good, but the game is a sandpark...a mix of themepark game play with sandpark attributes with skill based progression.
Watch this trailer...I am telling you it looks wickedly fun. clicky >>>> Age of Wulin Trailer
I would like to play to this game, but I don't think it's possible to play a Gpotato game competitively without spending hundreds (literally) of dollars a month. They are just that bad. I actually enjoyed Allods in beta till the reality of the cash shop hit. Will keep an eye on it, but fully expecting Gpotato to butcher this one with their slimy marketing and money grabs.
Comments
As others have echoed... gPotato...
He who keeps his cool best wins.
Great movies! I always wished to have combat as like these.

Sorry, but this is just another overhyped theme park MMORPG.
Read and watch this:

Reign of Assassins sword fight.
Jet Li - Fearless Fight Scene(HQ)
The Lost Bladesman [Good Fight]
The Warlords
Goemon, awesome story great visuals even though the cgi is a bit off it is still worth watching.

14 Blades also has some pretty kick ass fight scenes
Curse of Golden Flower apart from REALLY depressing and good storyline also contained some very kickass fighting
And then we have epicness like this
Also, god the xenophobic comments in this thread are disturbing.
# A GRIM, ODD, ARCANE SKY
# ANY GOD, I MARK SACRED
# A MASKED CRY ADORING
# A DREAMY, SICK DRAGON
Looks interesting, but I imagine is far from release here.
Well at least it's something to be hopeful for along with Archeage.

I would be willing to give this game a try if it has a sub option if it's only F2P I won't even touch it.
Gameworld looks great and i like the music.
Swimming seems awesome underwater looks so realistic.
That you can walk through other players ahhh:(
That you can stand with your mount at vendor inside a building ahhh:(
So many neon letters above head ahhhh:(
So many clones ahhh:(
Seems npc wax museum with big Neon light above head ahh:(
Oh and those rediculous little quest with that cluster fuck of players around npc bahhh:(
To Asian maybe?
And not all are into Kung fu.
Gpotato hmm?
But maybe nice between all those western mmo's?

From the information in this thread, I'm not even sure why that game would do well in China, let alone anywhere else.
Gpotato eh? More than likely be another P2W based game then....like Allods Online.
