I felt the opposite if what you did. Also, my system is not nearly as good as yours and I ran it fine on ultra with no lag. Maybe something is up with your system.

To me fine is like I said...fine. I experience no lag and everything else runs smooth. That's fine to me.
Sorry but Beta does not mean what it used to mean back in the days. Releasing a beta a month or so before release is more of a marketing strategy than anything else. Replying with "ITS BETA" to someone who does not find the game enjoyable and then bashing them for it is retarded. I didn't find SWTOR fun, I thought its just yet another generic mmo with light sabres. You can't throw the beta card at me since i'm not complaining about the technical problems with the game, I just don't enjoy the gameplay and the style of the game. No amount of bug fixes or the release day is going to fix that.

Graphics at least on par with Age of Conan? WHY would I want graphics as good as that piece of crap game? (And anyone that tells themselves TOR has decent graphics even on higheset setting, is fukin lyin' to themselves and everyone else, get your head out of your ass).
Something OTHER than a clone of every other MMO on the market quests? NO! I like to kill rats in space.
Performance on a high end machine that wasn't absolute shyt this close to launch? Am I nuts?
I did want this game to go well even after I discovered how big a steaming pile of shy I think it is atm, but after seeing the SAME old crap respones to ANY criticism people get to games they want to like, I hope it fails miserably so I can so "I told you idots so". Just like FF, just like STO, just like FE, just like DCUO... blah blah blah (that's just a few recntly, we all know there are AoC's WAR's, etc out there and tons that are just flat SHUT DOWN). Other than Rift, not a whole hell of a lot has been overly successful in the MMO world... and if you call games like LOTRO (or any others that went FTP) as"successful", you probably are the kinda person that's gonna like TOR. Another crap game for you to play.

I have posted several positive posts lately about different topics and I've seen them filled with the same types of things you said by people who hate the game. Tons of it.
Diablo 3's graphics are pretty eh too, I mean if you think SW:TOR's graphics are bad you will feel the same about D3.
I really think the graphics and animations in this game are far above mmo standards.
Can we stop with the "Ultra settings" and "AA" when there is none in this beta? can we? if there is ultra settings lets see the drop down cause I get fucking no ULTRA setting its either low or high here,, and nothing in the ini in local folder says anything else. not even adding the AA lines and dynamic lighting lines does anything in this beta it seems..
btw. shadows for some folk are a joke unless u got slider just below mid way so the char map ones turn off. i can loose 50fps on char maping shadows/ground view etc and that cant be right but they will fix it i hope, trouble is not sure what engine it is probably modified hero one? or some lark but in Mass effect etc the AA for alot of ATI folk was gloriously pain in the ass with hit to fps.

I for one think the game looks beautiful. The last rendering pass isn't being done though [which is why AA is disabled as it is usually done right before the frame is complete] and it still looks amazing. The lighting and landscapes are far and beyond anything out there in the MMO space I have seen aside from games made to be outstanding like Final Fantasy XIV.
I was also getting 80-100 FPS on my desktop seen below with EYEFINITY and MAXED available settings at 6048x1200. Even with one GPU disabled I was hitting 50fps at that res. Something else is clearly wrong.

I am playing this with a 5 year old gaming rig(overclocked), and i have no lag at all (and just one crash so far)
I have all settings on high and AA disabled, all other things set to max range. and all graphical feautures enabled.
If you lag, on high end hardware, you need to set it up for this game (like disabling SLI)
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
We all have AA disabled (And its driving me crazy!).
Some people need to chill and gtfo, seriously.
