Didn't you get the memo? Early Access and Beta mean the samething! See they both have "E" in them.  Oh and they both have an "A" in them. That means they are one in the same.

the story is nice, i'll give it that, but that's where it ends. the Graphics are not that great (unless they're holding off for release, which i doubt), every class is mirrored exactly on the other side, so if you play a Smuggler you've played an imperial Agent, with the exception of the wording of the story. the planets are lifeless, no moving grass, no flying insects, no animals just wandering around and the cities are dead, barely any NPC's in them or background chatter.

Space combat is a rail game, so unless you really enjoyed Asteroids as a kid, it'll be boring to you. PvP is umm...well, i'll let someone else explain how bad that is, my experience was only 3 mini-games reminiscent of the CoH/CoV system. then there's flashpoints, their version of group instances, when i first tested these these were Awesome! but then they started tweaking them and fiddling with them and reducing the lengths, and now they're just ok.

the Light Side/Dark Side point system sounded cool in the beginning, but it's now a useless addition, oh boy a few titles and some visual corruption if you're dark, at the higher levels you get some cool gear, but it's exactly the same gear weather your dark or light and just visually looks different.

I won't even mention how you can't change sides, so if you go dark Jedi, you can not move to  the empire. a Smugular is stuck with the Republic, while Bounty Hunters are stuck with the Empire. there really needed to be a third faction of Neutral. I could go on about the negatives of this game, but i think you get the picture.

all in all, the game is a Step back in MMO's, it's taken all the features of other games and reduced them to as simple a state as possible, there's nothing new, innovative or exciting about the game, except that it's Star Wars of the past (but unlike STO, they at least did stay true to the Universe)

In reality, if they took this game, rebundled it as KOTOR3 and sold it as a standalone it'd be far better, i'd hype this game s a 4, and that's just for the Name Recognition alone.

Oh and here we are less than 3 weeks from launch (dec 20th) and not a single advertisement for the game anywhere. you'd think for an Xmas launch you'd see something on TV!

Pretty much all developers do these days.  Copy, paste, wait for a check.  The genre is dead as far as I'm concerned.  Luckily the RPG genre is doing quite well :)

Innovative games tend to be fun though a game can be fun without being innovative. And, of course, it's far more likely a game that isn't innovative won't be fun either.

You are basing this on personal experince? i would like to know the list of all these innovative MMOS which were fun because innovation doesn't increase chances of fun as much as lack of it does not decreases the fun. To be honest msot of us don't even know what exactly we mean or want  when we use words like 'innovation'.

How many servers SWTOR will launch with on release?

Looks like a last gasp but nice try though.

1 million .... 2 million... preorders mean nothing , it's just all hype. I will be first to admit i bought into the hype as well and preordered before the beta just to try it. I'm glad i got to try the beta! Anyways don't look at the preorders you have to see how many remail after the first month.

Pretty sure Rift and Age of conan has huge preorders too, but the subs never stayed. After playing the game its decent but nowhere near as good as I thought bioware could have done. The game will be good though with maybe 200 k subscribers like other normal mmos.

I would give you a guest pass to SWOTR, but then I wouldn't be able to find a way to live with myself afterwards....

This is very laughable. You do realize for the past 5-6 years every game was labeled as being a "major sucess"  Age of conan fared pretty well, until we realized there was no content. The others like WH, Aion, APB were supposely gonna be WoW-killers but save for ABP were WoW cloners.

The rage in the fanboi is like a jedi going to the darkside. Their minds get clouded and filled with hatred and rage when their game comes unto attack from truthful statements. Much like Anakin when Obi-wan told him Palpitine was evil.

The saving grace for themepark mmorpgs could be GW2, but with how sandbox mmorpgs are going and how idiots keep buying rehashed wow-games I doubt we will see any good game come to fruition.

He does have a point. On one hand you're scorning all the people who've stated 'their' MMORPG to be a WoW killer over the years as to be blinded to the truth, yet on the other hand you fall for exactly the same trap by declaring GW2 to be the saviour MMO.

For what it's worth, I think that both extremes are false, no, there wasn't a 'WoW killer' nor do I expect there to be one, and no, that doesn't mean that there weren't themepark MMO's who did very, very well even if it wasn't on the same level as a WoW.

    Fully agree.

If you find out that a game isn't to your gaming taste, don't buy it and simply move on, something I do myself and that I can recommend everyone to do.

SWTOR bores the absolute hell outta me,

I have NEVER been this bored with any AAA title ever made. The scary part is, you can't even say this is a POS game wrapped in a pretty package, the graphics are subpar for this point in the evolution of the industry. Personally I just do not get the appeal at all.

I tested every class to 50 and there just is nothing in this whole damn game that deserves an ounce of the hype this game is getting. I just can not get my head around it.

Oh and get ready for an amazingly bad launch, the servers are so piss poor that they have to stagger yall in like games use to do 10 years ago... hello, the technology has evolved. Moo Moo Move along the shoot little cow, the next cow is coming in behind you.

One thing they did not take into account, their website and forums are on the same server farm as thier game servers, and even though I pointed this out during beta multiple times, it was never corrected.

SO, headstart day 1, they bring up the servers, but guess what all the impatient kids out there are piled up on the forums, eat up the bandwidth, overwhealm the server farm, and crash the servers over and over as people are trying to log in and make characters.

Sorry to ask but are you trolling ? You have played every class to lvl50 ? But you didn´t like the game at all, umm ok ^^ Something in your story doesnt sound right .

I don´t care if you don´t like the game, that´s cool but to say you have played every class to 50 and the game totally sucks is a bit weird.

If a MMO totally sucks it didn´t even live 5-10 minutes on my harddrive. So something must have been there that kept you playing, sure there are things wrong with the game, bugs and features missing but what do you expect for a MMO that just launches soon ? You can´t have  everything at the start, that´s impossible.

This post can not be true if we take it as it is.

It takes around 40-60 hours to get a class up to level 50.

You say you took every class to level 50. That is 8 classes.

So you played SWTOR for 320-460 HOURS (that's 3 times the lengh of Skyrim excluding the never-ending quest thingy)

Jeez... I can definitely see why you might be bored after playing a game for 300-400+ hours /sarcasm

You should have stopped after calling SWTOR POS and how it bores the crap out of you. That is your personal taste but why go ona  rant about something you have no idea about? been beta testing SWTOR for months now and the last weekend beta test was the biggest ever and still SWTOR handled the numbers quite well. not a single server crash for me and minimal lag. Gotto stop lookign through that crystal ball of yours bud.

I am sure there will be SOME problems during the release, early access and full. That said, the primary purpose for the last weekend's testing (the big 11/25 one) was to test their staggered rollout (which I don't personally agree with...) and their server capacity.

I rarely say that I think opening day(s) will be anything more than frustrating but I think this game will be surprising smooth.

That's a true 3 cup of coffee prediction! I'd bank on it!

SO, headstart day 1, they bring up the servers, but guess what all the impatient kids out there are piled up on the forums, eat up the bandwidth, overwhealm the server farm, and crash the servers over and over as people are trying to log in and make characters.

Interesting. But what will you say when this doomsday prophecy doesn't happen?

What will you say when it does?

I test pretty much everything that comes along, and I post predicitons,I usually get flamed pretty bad for it, but I have a pretty good track record so far, not that its hard to be right.   90% of the MMO's that come along are total POS, they get hyped like crazy by the game addicts that MUST have thier next fix, and a month or two later they are dead.  I called RIFT 6 months, and that's the longest I've given a game yet, now Rift is in trouble most raiding guilds decimated by people leaving for Swtor, I have friends playing it still that had to merge four guilds together just to have 20 men for the 20 man raids.

Sadly Swtor doesnt even have 6 months, the core of the game is flawed. Sorry I wish it wasn't I wish it was the best game ever made, I truly was hoping it would be a solid game that would keep subscribers.

jeez 20 pages on a shity ass topic like this, figures.  Im not posting in this thread anymore since its run rampant, people always want to be the head of anything dramatic, knocking this game gives them that, its only reason this thread didnt fly by without a reply.  I would suggest anyone that likes SWTOR to refrain from posting in this crappy thread anymore, let it die off.

I rarely say that I think opening day(s) will be anything more than frustrating but I think this game will be surprising smooth.

That's a true 3 cup of coffee prediction! I'd bank on it!

If the game has a smooth launch then it'll set the standard for years for other MMO launches.

It is projected to have 4 MILLION sales in the first month of launch. To have a smooth launch of that magnitude is just insane!

If you lie then don't be surprized if someone calls you out on it.

Been in testing since last december, had a full year to explore every in and out of the game, and trust me there is way more out than there is in...
