They seem a bit biased against sandbox games but ultimately they ended up giving SWTOR another horrible review. Check it out here. http://sandboxer.org/?p=261
I know it's bad, but 2 out of 10 bad is REALLY friggen bad for an MMO.

WoW..."SANDBOXER.ORG" gives bad review to a THEMEPARK MMO ?
That is soooooo surprizing -_-
seriously, do we need another one of those thread ?
Not really, it's what I would have given SWG on launch. *shrug*
I respect a reviewer that mentions cons as well as pros .
But this......this is clearly a guy that HATES themepark MMOs, reviewing a themepark MMO. What a waste of time. Both his and mine. Sigh.
EDIT: Im gonna have to add that this is why some people need to make their own reviewing websites to review stuff; They're not objective enough to be actual reviewers on better sites.
Er, yeah, have to agree, suspect a bit of "bias" on this interview. I'm sure as a sandbox style game SWTOR rates poorly, but then again, so does Madden football.

another opinion nice, but in the end of it some of them will play be sure, it is Star Wars it is like not wanting to see the movies because someone said they suck.
Wow... I really wouldn't bother posting that... Who even knew that site existed? It's one thing to be biased, it's another to be a complete joke of a review. Which that was. The visuals may not be the best out there, but a 2/10? Not quite.
Take it from me folks, not worth reading.
Some highlights from the review.
"The gameplay in Star Wars The Old Republic is absolutely horrible. Just like World of Warcraft, Rift, or any other themepark MMO"
"It’s a StarWars WoW Clone. Starwars games have been done to death"
"One thing that’s sort of an innovation is companions. There very creapy"
"This is not the game your looking for."
As an aside: Holy spell-check batman.... Creapy? Your? There? Star Wars one word?

I didn't realize till now, how many posters on these forums work for sandboxer.
The reviewer has a website and he is on "INTERNET"! How can he be wrong ? Who is this important person ?
Wati,...just another nobody
Well the site is called sandboxer.com... Really not a surprise. The only comment on the review seems to be from a fellow sandbox fan that thinks the review was to harsh. Also, what site is this? I have never heard of it before today (and I consider myself a sandbox fan). Was trying to find other reviews they have done but apart from Skyrim, I could not locate another MMO review on the site.

After all these negative reviews from random websites i never heard of - i think i have decided to not play swtor and cancel my pre-order!
...Actually, stuff it, its my oppinion and i will be playing it and enjoying the hell out of the game, but its the internet and your own personal oppinion is not allowed by many people.
Oh joy. More heads stuck in the sandbox.

Personally I was in 2 betas and played several characters and cannot wait for Christmas. This is one awesome game in my opinion. Not possible for a review to put me off now that I've tried it. Yep its got some faults (personally I want a better space section and worry that there are just too many abilities) but taken as a whole, for me, its a very entertaining gaming experience.
The clue is in the url though sanboxer org, you have to wonder at the logic of a sandbox orientated site even trying the game. It is no secret that SWTOR is as themepark as they come.
Don't really consider that a valid review. It came off as a someone butthurt over the game not being a sandbox instead of being reviewed for what it is. So overall a worthless and unprofessional review not fit to be on the web.
Now now pony, not all sandbox fans auto hate every themepark game and call it a WoW clone!

this is what i expected from a reiewer who is clearly still in love with swg and remembers it slightly different than it was.I loved swg but it wasnt all that great and if was released today then it would be dragged across the forum coals endlessly.swtor is not a sandbox, so ofcourse he will not like it, but many of his complaints you can find in swg aswell. I'm one of those angry swg vets who wish someone would make a new swg game and early on was placing all my hopes in swtor to replace my swg fix. after i came to terms with the fact that it isnt swg and played it for what it is then my rating of the game changed a lot since early on i hated everything i seen or heard about swtor.
I read it slightly diferent. It's obvious that he degrades the game slightly becouse its not a sandbox but its pretty clear to me that hes mad that its NOT swg.
So much for objectivity

pretty stupid review IMO and this coming from a sandbox enthusiast.

I am a themepark player mostly. I wonder how many will take me seriously if i give EVE 2 out of 10.
How many servers SWTOR will launch with on release?
ShredderSE - Umm how many do they need? Maybe 6.
US, EU, Asian, France, German and Russian.
Subs will be so low there is no need for more
Snoocky-How many servers?
The first 3 months a lot...after that 2 i guess, one for PVE and 1 for PVP...
Thorbrand - SWTOR doesn't have longevity at all. Might be one of the shortest lived MMOs.
True. Didn't say that though.
sandboxes and played a lot of EVE myself.

lol gotta love sand box fan boys... They hate so hard on themepark mmo's, but they can not even point out 1 sandbox game that was released in the last 4 years that was any good. or anywere near good.
Well, in your defense, your comment was about as objective as the review...

He about hits sums up my thoughts of TOR. The fact that its star wars and bioware does nothing for me. Also the fact that its another themepark MMO with cutscenes does fa for me. Hopefully this bland genre of MMOs passes soon and a MMO company grows some balls and comes out with something worth spending the time playing.
TOR simply is nothing new and anyone whos played MMOs for a good amount of years will grow bored of it in no time unfortionately.
